Zong Jia smiled, took her hand, and patted it. "Alright, go ahead and try it. Stop teasing her."
John's assistant quickly led the two of them to the makeshift fitting rooms.
The moment the assistant lifted the cover-up of the wedding dress, Jiang Xiaoli had to admit that she was truly stunned by its beauty.
Considering the wedding date is in mid-October, this wedding dress appears to be a long-sleeved style that covers the entire body from the front.
However, the back features a large cutout, with fabric piled up to resemble a rose. The blooming flowers are incredibly beautiful, and the floral branches and leaves on the skirt create a fresh and dreamy romance, exuding a poetic and elegant retro vibe.
While accompanying her to the wedding dress fitting, Zhu Han covered her mouth and exclaimed, "This is the most gorgeous and romantic wedding dress I've ever seen!"
Looking at the enormous train, Jiang Xiaoli said to the two of them, "If I want to wear this wedding dress, I can only ask for your help."
Even with the help of professional assistants, it still took them a full 20 minutes to get dressed and adjusted.
Zhu Han jumped up and down excitedly, "Chairman Jiang, you're like someone who stepped out of a painting!"
Jiang Xiaoli blinked at the huge dressing mirror, then smiled at her blonde assistant and said, "It seems John was right, I like it very much."
The blonde assistant chuckled and said, "No girl would dislike this kind of romance."
"Knock, knock, knock." A knock came at the door. "Little Pear, how did the trial go?"
Jiang Xiaoli gestured with her chin towards Zhu Han, "Open the door."
Zhu Han opened the door with an expectant smile and thoughtfully told the person outside, "Boss Zong, Chairman Jiang is coming out."
Zong Jia, dressed in an exquisite and well-fitting dress, stared motionless at the doorway.
A figure wearing a veil slowly walked out of the house until she reached the center of the hall.
Jiang Xiaoli waited a few seconds, and seeing that the person in front of her did not move, she anxiously tried to lift her veil.
Zong Jiayu moved first, gently placing her veil behind her back, revealing the exquisite curves of her upper body.
"Little Pear, you are so beautiful."
Jiang Xiaoli looked at the man in front of her. His white men's suit, which was also meticulously made, gave the usually aloof-looking boy an air of nobility.
She touched the beaded embroidery on his chest and said with a smile, "Ayu, you're so handsome!"
Zhu Han was so excited watching from the side that she stomped her feet. She really wished she had a camera in her hand right now so she could capture this scene!
John seemed to have mind-reading abilities. "Miss Jiang, may I take a picture of you and Mr. Zong? It will make it easier for us to edit later."
Jiang Xiaoli smiled and nodded. She first took a photo with Zong Jia, and then had John take a solo photo.
As John observed and noted the small details that made the dress fit her poorly, he jokingly asked, "Ms. Jiang, are you satisfied with this wedding dress?"
She smiled and said, "Satisfied, very satisfied."
Zong Jiayu added from the side, "It would be better if it weren't so close-fitting."
The design of the bodice of this wedding dress accentuated his daughter's great figure, which he slightly objected to.
John asked, puzzled, "Mr. Zong, Miss Jiang has a perfect figure, why would you want her to be covered up?"
Jiang Xiaoli kept laughing, "Ayu, is this... possessiveness?"
Zong Jia sighed helplessly, "It's too attractive! But as long as you like it, that's fine."
John and his assistant couldn't understand the Chinese they were speaking, but Zhu Han, standing to the side, was left feeling utterly envious of their public display of affection.
After trying on their wedding dresses, they went to a long-established tailor shop.
The old seamstress smiled when she saw Jiang Xiaoli, "You finally have some free time!"
She said apologetically, "I've been really busy lately, Grandma Hua, I'm so sorry."
Grandma Hua waved her hand, "I heard everything from your mother, it's alright, there's still time!"
She led them to the backyard of the tailor shop. "Today is just for you to try out the pattern. If there are no problems, I will continue making it. The remaining time will probably take about 3 more months."
Jiang Xiaoli nodded, "There's still plenty of time."
Li Guizhi ordered a set of traditional Chinese wedding attire for them, but only the pattern has been completed; it's bare and without embroidery, so its beauty can't be seen.
Jiang Xiaoli and Zong Jia stood there like two wooden figures, letting Grandma Hua record the data one by one.
"Alright, you two really need to stay in shape, or you'll be in trouble!"
"Okay, Grandma Hua, we understand."
It was past 6 o'clock when they came out of the tailor shop. Jiang Xiaoli told Zhu Han to leave work, and the two of them went home.
But as soon as she entered the house, Zong Jiayu pounced on her like a hungry wolf.
She pressed her hand against his chest. "What are you doing?"
“Little Pear, I’ve been waiting ever since I saw you walk out of the fitting room.”
He lowered his head and kissed her ear, his voice becoming hoarse, "Little Pear, you're really something!"
Jiang Xiaoli let out a string of laughs. She reached out and grabbed his collar, her seductive voice like that of a female demon bewitching him, "Ayu, then I want your life, will you give it to me?"
Zong Jia carried her back to the bedroom, showing her the answer through his actions.
The phone, lying on the sofa, kept vibrating, its screen flashing names like "Auntie" and "Mom."
That evening, the two came out of the bedroom to find something to eat. Jiang Xiaoli saw her bag and exclaimed, "Oh no! I forgot to call my aunt back to report about the dress fitting!"
Zong Jiayu's expression also became somewhat stiff.
She had just taken her phone out when Li Guizhi called.
She instinctively tossed the phone to Zong Jiayu, saying, "It's all your fault! You take it!"
Zong Jia, the scapegoat, reluctantly pressed the answer button, and the person on the other end clearly didn't expect the call to be answered.
After a two-second pause, Li Guizhi's roar came through, "You brat, is your phone just for show? Do you see how many calls I've made to your aunt and uncle?"
Zong Jia took a deep breath and said, "Mom, I'm sorry."
Li Guizhi clearly didn't expect that he would be the one to answer the phone.
Her voice softened a bit, "Ayu, what are you doing? You haven't answered the phone for hours, we're worried!"
Zong Jia apologized repeatedly, "Mom, it's all my fault, please don't blame Xiao Lizi."
"You guys..." Li Guizhi wanted to ask something more, but then she heard some noise on the other end of the phone.
Zong Jia clearly heard Xu Feng say, "Oh, stop digging so deep!"
After a while, Li Guizhi said awkwardly, "Never mind, just remember to have Xiaoli call her aunt back."
The next second, a busy tone came through the receiver.
Seeing him put down the phone, Jiang Xiaoli quickly came over and asked, "Did you get scolded?"
Zong Jiayu chuckled and denied it, "No, I just wanted you to call your aunt back."
She gripped her phone, her brow furrowed in a frown. "How come I didn't get scolded? Something's not right!"
Zong Jiayu chuckled as she scrolled through the food delivery app, "When have you ever seen Mom scold me?"
Jiang Xiaoli thought back for a moment and then pouted. She had to admit, she was jealous at that moment!
