Chapter 45: Can’t find Dad?
As soon as Qin Yanlin's parents heard that Qin Yanlin was missing, they immediately called their children and asked them to visit various relatives and friends.
Deng Xiuzhen first went to the supply and marketing cooperative to check, and asked people nearby, but everyone said they had never seen Tan Yanlin.
Qin Xiuwen helped to ask around, and almost everyone he knew said that they had not seen Qin Yanlin recently.
Although she thought Tan Yanlin would not go to her parents' home, she still decided to go look for him.
When she returned to her parents' home, He Taoxiu scolded her as soon as they met, saying that it was Deng Xiuzhen who caused Deng Chunlin to go to jail. If she had not borrowed money, Deng Chunlin would not have done bad things, and if he had not done bad things, he would not have gone to jail.
Deng Xiuzhen ignored her verbal abuse and told Deng Kaihuai that Qin Yanlin was missing. However, just like she did in front of her in-laws and others, she did not mention her purchase of land. She only said that they had had a quarrel.
When He Taoxiu heard this, she said that it was what he deserved. Song Yuanxiang didn't say anything, but it was obvious that she was gloating over his misfortune.
Deng Kaihuai called Deng Chunsheng, and then Chunsheng called Deng's relatives, and everyone helped to search widely, but they didn't get any useful information.
When she returned to her mother-in-law's house again, she saw her second brother Qin Yanbin standing at the door, and Deng Xiuzhen called him "Second Brother".
Before she finished her words, a teacup flew over and landed on Deng Xiuzhen's forehead, instantly causing a big bump.
"You are such a troublemaker! You evil PN...If it weren't for you, how could my Yanlin have disappeared?" Mother-in-law Li Qiumei slapped her thigh and cried and cursed.
Deng Xiuzhen was dizzy from being hit by the teacup. Before she could react, she saw her father-in-law Qin Guohui rushing towards her with a hoe in hand.
Third sister-in-law Liu Juxiang pulled her away.
The second brother, Tan Yanbin, stopped Tan Guohui and said, "If you beat her to death, won't Yanlin be angry when he comes back? Also, now that Yanlin hasn't come back, who will take care of the child?"
The second sister-in-law Song Heyuan pushed her and said, "Hurry up, Yanlin hasn't come back yet, you should go back to the city quickly!"
Seeing Deng Xiuzhen was about to leave, Li Qiumei came over and tried to stop her.
Liu Juxiang pulled Li Qiumei away, Song Heyuan turned around to help Liu Juxiang and asked Deng Xiuzhen to leave quickly.
Under the protection of her second and third sisters-in-law, Deng Xiuzhen quickly ran out of the village and took a bus back to the city.
After returning to the city, she went to the police station to inquire about the situation.
Tian Guoqiang told her: "Everyone has tried their best, but the conditions are limited and we have not received any useful information yet."
She returned home in despair and sat in the cold house. Deng Xiuzhen regretted it very much. If she had known this would happen, she would not have bought the land and let Tan Yanlin open an electrical appliance store.
Holding on to the last glimmer of hope, Deng Xiuzhen drove her Mamu to the foot of Jucai Mountain, parked the car on the side of the road, and walked up the mountain in the cold wind.
"Deng, Deng Xiuzhen?" Li Huzi was surprised to see Deng Xiuzhen.
Deng Xiuzhen had a very bad impression of Li Huzi, a man who was always talking nonsense, but she still greeted him warmly because she wanted to know if Tan Yanlin had been here.
The result was as expected, no useful information was obtained.
Old Man Li asked Li Huzi to send Deng Xiuzhen off, but she refused. She didn't want to owe a favor to someone she had a bad impression of. Old Man Li didn't insist.
Deng Xiuzhen walked back in a daze, and suddenly her feet slipped and she fell into a pit.
Fortunately, the pit was not deep and she was not seriously injured. As soon as she climbed out, she looked up and saw a young man.
The boy was holding a net in his left hand and a steel fork in his right hand, looking at her angrily.
Deng Xiuzhen recognized the boy as the son of the mother and son who had quarreled with Li Huzi that day.
She sensed hostility, but was in a hurry to go home and didn't want to get involved, so she thought about just ignoring it and leaving.
"Stop!" The young man stopped in front of her and pointed at him with the steel fork in his hand.
Deng Xiuzhen was just about to speak when she saw the keychain on the boy's waist, which was exactly the same as the keychain she had picked up in the house.
Although the boy's clothes were not torn, they were obviously old and did not fit him well. They looked like hand-me-down clothes that had been worn by someone else.
How could a teenager like this buy such an exquisite keychain?
Deng Xiuzhen looked at the boy, smiled and asked, "What's the matter?"
"What are you doing here?" The boy moved his steel fork forward a little more.
Deng Xiuzhen looked up and around, and found that she seemed to have taken the wrong road. She had never been to this place before.
"Don't think about running, you can't run away!" The young man discovered Deng Xiuzhen's intention and said coldly.
"You little bastard, you're so brave! How dare you bully my guests!" Following a rough curse, Li Huzi walked over with a smile.
"You! When I grow up, I will kill you!" The young man said harshly and turned and ran away.
"Why are you here?" Looking at Li Huzi at this moment, he didn't seem as annoying as before, and Deng Xiuzhen's voice subconsciously softened a lot.
"The old man said you looked strange and was afraid you might go the wrong way, so he asked me to take you there. You refused, so he asked me to follow you." Li Huzi scratched his head and waved his hand, saying, "Come on, I'll take you out."
Deng Xiuzhen did not refuse this time and agreed directly.
"Who is that young man? Why does he look at me like an enemy?" Deng Xiuzhen asked.
"That bastard? He's just a stubborn bull. Don't worry, he's not a bad guy and won't hurt you." Li Huzi replied.
"Then why was he like that?" Because of the key chain, Deng Xiuzhen didn't want to easily brush aside this question and continued to ask.
"I guess he must have caught some prey and you accidentally destroyed it, so he's angry and wants you to pay for something." Li Huzi said, and he laughed as if he thought of something.
"You seem to know him very well." Deng Xiuzhen also smiled.
"This child has a bad fate. His father is not a good person..." Li Huzi stopped talking here, took a deep breath and said, "Let's not talk about this anymore. Let's go quickly. It seems like it's going to rain."
Li Huzi obviously didn't want to say more, and Deng Xiuzhen didn't dare to ask any more.
The two hurried on their way, and when they reached the road, it began to drizzle.
Deng Xiuzhen asked Li Huzi to go back quickly, and she ran to the place where the numbness was parked.
When we arrived at the destination, we found that Numu was gone!
She was afraid that she had remembered the wrong place, so she searched along the road again, but there was still no sign of Numu.
Deng Xiuzhen realized that Numbness might have been stolen.
Deng Xiuzhen walked in the rain for more than an hour before she got home. She really wanted to cry, but she couldn't cry because she still had to pick up the children and she didn't want them to feel her bad mood.
After changing into clean clothes and going to Old Man Zhao's house, the children came up to him and asked, "Where's Dad? Is Dad back?"
Deng Xiuzhen said nothing, just shook her head.
"Mom, can't you find Dad?" Wen Jing asked with red eyes and a crying voice.
Wen Xin and Wen Yu started crying quietly.
Deng Xiuzhen didn't say anything, nor did she comfort them. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk, but she didn't know what to say, and she didn't know whether she should tell the children about their quarrel.
She felt very dizzy.
"Xiuzhen, do you have a fever?" asked Old Man Zhao.
