Chapter 105: All the Passengers Are Soldiers

Even after leaving the round-faced girl quite a distance away, Su Nian was still laughing. She reached out and grabbed Chu Beichen, covering her stomach with one hand, "Beichen, I'm dying of laughter!"

Chu Beichen held her helplessly, "She's just a boring person, why do you care about her?"

"I didn't expect you to say that," Su Nian could not forget Yuan Lian's expression just now, as if he was stuck while eating a fly!

"Look, the train is coming!" Chu Beichen smiled and pointed to the front of the railway. Following the direction of her finger, she could see a small train slowly approaching.

The locomotive in front, still a steam engine, puffed and smoked as it came to a stop on the platform. This train was also pulling passenger cars, but there were no markings on the train bodies. Only three large characters were written on the locomotive: The East is Red!

"This is a special train that goes to the base," Chu Beichen introduced while taking Su Nian on board.

"Is there no other way?" Su Nian looked back and saw Yuanlian also walking towards the train with a suitcase.

"No, besides the railway, there's the plane!" Chu Beichen looked at the ticket. "This journey is very short, and there are only hard seats!"

At this time, Su Nian had already seen the situation inside the carriage. The passengers inside were very special. Almost all of them were wearing military uniforms. They knew each other very well, greeted each other, changed seats from time to time, and a few familiar people gathered together to chat and laugh.

There was a warm atmosphere throughout the train.

"Beichen, come and sit here!" A tall and thin young man was calling Chu Beichen from a distance. He was wearing a down jacket on the upper body and green military pants on the lower body. He should also be a soldier.

"That's my fellow villager!" Chu Beichen introduced him to Su Nian with a smile, then waved to the young man, "Here he comes!"

It was Su Nian's first time to take such a train. She followed Chu Beichen through the bustling carriage and came to the tall and thin young man.

The man was occupying a row of three seats. When he saw Chu Beichen coming, he reached out to help him put his luggage. He then looked at Su Nian and winked at Chu Beichen, "Is this your girlfriend? You're really good, boy. You can even catch such a beautiful girl?"

This was a joke, but also a compliment. Su Nian felt her face flush. She unconsciously looked at Chu Beichen, who patted the tall and thin young man triumphantly and said, "Now you have to admit that you are not as good as me, right?"

The tall and thin young man bowed to Chu Beichen and said, "You are so lucky, I admit defeat!"

Chu Beichen took the lead and let Su Nian sit by the window. He sat in the middle, pushing the young man to the aisle. The young man was obviously very familiar with Chu Beichen. He didn't get angry. Instead, he took out a roast chicken wrapped in oil paper from the bag on the luggage rack and put it on the table, "Dezhou Braised Chicken, try it!"

The people on the opposite side also took out their hometown specialties, placed them on the small table and started sharing. The people on the bus were either wearing green military pants or blue military pants, and some were even wearing military uniforms. Girls like Su Nian were very rare.

"Are all these passengers soldiers?" Su Nian asked Chu Beichen in a low voice.

Before Chu Beichen could answer, the young man sitting next to him spoke nonchalantly, "Yes, every station this train stops at is a military unit, so its passengers are only soldiers!"

Su Nian nodded. It turned out that there was such a train. She was really enlightened!

The steam locomotive began to blow its whistle and struggled to drag the carriage forward. Through the window, one could clearly see the scenery on the platform flash by, and in its place was a vast expanse of silence.
