Chapter 1621 Strange Radish

The guest who came to the Han family was none other than Mr. Nan, Grandpa Han’s close friend. Ever since Su Nian did something for Mr. Nan, Mr. Nan had been saying that he wanted to treat Grandpa Han to a drink.

But Grandpa Han was no longer willing to get involved in those political affairs.

Mr. Nan invited Grandpa Han several times, but Grandpa Han always made excuses to decline. Mr. Nan then understood Grandpa Han's thoughts and simply went directly to Grandpa Han's house.

"Old Han, you are so unkind. I invited you to drink, but you didn't give me any face. Now I come here by myself, can you still kick me out?" Mr. Nan came uninvited and was very humble.

Grandpa Han didn't hate Mr. Nan, but he didn't want to get involved in the muddy waters of the power circle because of his high position and power.

Now that the other party has come, he naturally has to entertain him warmly, "Of course I won't chase you away, I still have some good things to treat you! Are you satisfied now?" Grandpa Han took the other party's hand and walked into the house.

"Any good wine?"

"Your arms and legs are so old and weak, how can you still drink? I have mushroom soup here!" Grandpa Han hit Mr. Nan.

This is of course a joke. When friends meet, wine is indispensable, but each person only has a small cup and can only lick it.

A pot of mushroom soup was cooked and it filled the air with fragrance as soon as it was served on the table.

Mr. Nan had seen all sorts of delicacies, but when he smelled this, he became serious. "Old Han, is this mushroom? Why does it smell so good?"

"It's mushroom and radish soup, both of which are vegetarian. This is my first time making it, and it looks pretty good," Grandpa Han stretched out his chopsticks and pointed at the staff next to him, who then served the soup to the two elderly people in small bowls.

"The soup tastes authentic!" Mr. Nan took a sip of the hot soup and immediately praised, "Old Han, you didn't put mushrooms in this soup, you should put ginseng and Ganoderma lucidum!"

"Really? I'll call the chef over and ask him." Grandpa Han also thought the soup tasted delicious.

The fat chef was quickly called over. When he heard that Grandpa Han's guest wanted to know the ingredients of the soup, he immediately counted on his fingers and began to recite them.

"The main ingredients are mushrooms and radishes, both from the young lady's own horse farm. They looked quite fresh to me, and since they were all natural foods, I just stewed them together!"

According to the rules of the Han family, you can only answer questions but not ask questions to Grandpa Han. After the fat chef finished introducing the mushroom soup, he rubbed his hands nervously.

"Do you have any more ingredients for the soup?" Mr. Nan became interested and wanted to see the difference between the mushrooms and radishes. "If you have any, I'll take some back and compare it with what's in my garden!"

Grandpa Han burst into laughter. "Old Nan, you're still that competitive person. You even want to compare a carrot!"

"Xiao Zhang, check to see if there are any radishes and mushrooms left. Bring them to Mr. Nan!"

The fat chef agreed and ran out. Not long after, he came back with some cleaned vegetables.

"These mushrooms have been dried, so they look a little dry, but it's not that they're not fresh. These radishes are very fresh!"

The mushrooms are brown round mushrooms that look very ordinary, while the radishes are white round radishes with crisp green leaves on them.

"Hey, Old Han, what kind of radish is this? Why are the leaves round?" Mr. Nan pointed at the radish leaves that looked like ginkgo leaves and asked Grandpa Han curiously.

"Yes, I have never seen such radish leaves, but this radish looks quite realistic!" Grandpa Han frowned his gray eyebrows.
