Chapter 1948: The Cunning Rabbit Has Three Burrows

Dong Bofu's paintings were either stolen goods or original works exchanged for museum works. Once the police were called, he would have to explain the origins of these famous paintings. Therefore, Dong Bofu did not dare to solve the problem through official channels, but went directly to Victor.

"So that's it!" Chu Ying suddenly realized.

The warehouse provided to them by Dongbofu was located on a commercial dock, a place that was very busy with people coming and going.

The three of them got in a car, pretending to pick someone up, and first took a walk around the dock. However, they did not dare to approach the warehouse at all. Since there were famous paintings hidden there, and perhaps other valuable things, it must be heavily guarded. They had not yet formulated an action plan, so they naturally could not approach it blindly and alert the enemy.

"There are no major changes at the dock. The terrain is the same as we've seen before!" Victor took a look and left the warehouse with several companions.

This time they did not take a taxi, but changed buses twice and took the subway once.

Afterwards, Chu Ying realized that a cunning rabbit has three burrows, and Victor had gone through a long circle before reaching her hiding place.

Victor and his two companions were hiding in a small alley, which was filled with two- or three-story buildings. Victor's house was located on the second floor of a small building.

The buildings here are quite old. Not only can you enter from downstairs, but you can also run directly to the other end of the alley from the roof. From there, you can jump out and there will be a busy street with heavy traffic.

There are only three rooms on the second floor. Victor looked at Chu Ying with a hint of apology, "I didn't expect you to join me. There are only three rooms in this house. Why don't you live with me?"

Chu Ying looked at Victor awkwardly. She wondered if the three of them were all men, why couldn't they share a room? This would also avoid the awkward situation of her and Victor being squeezed together.

Victor was surprised to see Chu Ying's expression. "Why? Don't you want to live with me?"

Chu Ying remembered that she was currently dressed as a boy and quickly shook her head, "No, no, no, I can live with you!"

"That's good!" Victor felt relieved. At this time, there was a knock on the door of the room. It turned out to be the delivery guy. He opened the lunch box and found hot pizza, salad and beer inside.

Victor invited Chu Ying to sit down at the small table in the restaurant. The four of them ate while discussing the action plan.

After discussing for a while, everyone felt that they should explore the real situation inside the warehouse, such as what exactly is stored inside, who are the people guarding the warehouse, and how they rotate shifts. These are all crucial to the success of the operation.

"We now need someone to break into the warehouse and find out the situation," one of Victor's companions said while chewing pizza.

Chu Ying thought about it, raised her hand and said, "Let me go. I'm a stranger to the people here, and they won't doubt me!"

Victor didn't want Chu Ying to take risks, so he frowned and didn't answer, but his two companions had already nodded in agreement.

Victor had no choice but to nod and agree. "Alright, rest here today. I'll take you there tomorrow morning. If there's any job openings, you can just slip in without arousing suspicion!"

Chu Ying thought so too. Victor's plan was very simple. For them, stealing a painting from the warehouse was much easier than any previous tasks.
