Chapter 2001 Farmhouse Fun

Su Nian quickly tugged at Chu Beichen's sleeve, and the latter reacted and followed his wife to the door of the farm house. Behind them, the owner of the farm house was unwillingly greeting and shouting, inviting them into his home for dinner.

The couple took a look into the large baskets and saw that one large basket was filled with wild Huichun mushrooms, another basket was filled with the local specialty small white mushrooms, and the third basket was filled with bitter vegetable, a common wild vegetable in spring.

Su Nian was very excited. If she could collect such a large amount of rejuvenation, then as long as she collected it quickly, it would be enough for her to refine a batch of rejuvenation pills.

There were eight of them in the group, and in the eyes of the local farmhouse owner, they were just a bunch of fat sheep. Seeing these fat sheep about to walk into the farmhouse that sold rejuvenation products, a fat aunt ran over to stop them.

"You're all tourists, right? I'm telling you, you can't go to his house. The sanitary conditions there are terrible!"

Chu Beichen was very confused and looked the fat lady up and down. "Excuse me, who are you?"

The fat lady smiled greasyly. She pointed to a farmhouse next door with a sign hanging on it and said, "I also run a farmhouse. Our food is clean and we use the best materials. You'll see for yourself if you go and see it!"

The farmhouse next door was indeed much more upscale in terms of facade and decoration than the one Su Nian and his friends had their eyes on. However, there were no baskets at the door, and they didn't sell rejuvenation products, so Su Nian and his friends would never go in.

Su Nian glanced at the fat aunt and said, "Haha, we just like this kind of rustic decoration!"

The fat lady was choked by Su Nian's words and angrily pulled at her apron. "Don't be ungrateful, ha! I told you, he only has two elderly people at home and they can't cook delicious meals. If you regret it later, you can come to my house and I'll give you a 20% discount!"

Su Nian and his companions turned a deaf ear and walked straight into the small courtyard of the farmhouse. Unlike the tall farmhouses around it, this small courtyard still used blue bricks, and there were no ceramic tiles on the walls, just blue bricks and red tiles.

Lentils and eggplants were planted in the yard, and cucumbers were also grown on the trellises, but these vegetables looked wilted and not very bright. In the yard, a majestic big red rooster was running around with a group of hens.

Su Nian stood in the yard for a while before a woman in her fifties with gray hair ran out of the house. "Oh, there are guests here, and I didn't see them. Please come in!"

The woman looked haggard, obviously having been working hard for many years. Compared to her, Su Nian was not young either, but because of proper care and a comfortable life, she still looked like a little girl.

At the invitation of the proprietress, several people entered the main hall. Since it was a farm stay, the design of the main hall was no different from that of a restaurant.

The room was furnished with wooden tables and chairs, and the windows were bright and clean. The proprietress took out a few menus and said, "The dishes not marked with a pencil are the ones we have now. There are also some dishes that cannot be made out of season!"

Su Nian and Chu Beichen looked at it carefully, and the bodyguards also pretended to study the menu.

Su Nian knew that the locals used to call wild radish "water radish." Sure enough, she saw some cold shredded water radish in the cold vegetable section and asked the owner, "I saw some wild vegetables in the basket at the door. Can you make some for us?"

The proprietress laughed and said, "You guys really know what you're talking about. These wild vegetables are really only grown in my family. Others don't pick them because they think they can't make money from selling them in small quantities!"
