It was early in the morning, and the cool and pleasant weather was just beginning to appear outside. Xiao Hei happily rushed to the grass to have fun. He had been feeling pent up since arriving in Beijing.
Chu Beichen ran backwards, looking at Su Nian with a smirk, "You look quite energetic. It seems you didn't stay up late?"
Su Nian was wearing a white T-shirt and denim shorts. In the morning light, she looked particularly youthful and beautiful. "I really didn't stay up late. Why would I lie to you?"
After acupuncture last night, Su Nian slept very deeply and woke up before four o'clock. She lay down for a while and found that she was not sleepy at all. Then she realized that the shortened sleep time was most likely caused by acupuncture.
Su Nian simply rolled over and read a book. She found that her mind was clear and she had reached the level of remembering everything she saw. However, she could not tell Chu Beichen about these things.
The two of them jogged along the tree-lined avenue. Chu Beichen's usual speed was much faster than this, but today, in order to accommodate Su Nian, he slowed down his speed by half. Even so, Su Nian still complained of back and leg pain after running with him for half an hour.
The little black dog ran around the two of them happily, back and forth for an unknown amount of time.
On the way back, Su Nian bought some pancakes and fried dough sticks. The soy milk was made by Chu's mother herself. She liked to put some peanuts and red dates in the soy milk, thinking that it would make the taste more fragrant.
Today is the day to give Grandpa Han an acupuncture treatment. Su Nian and Chu Beichen went out together and the car merged into the traffic flow.
The last time Su Nian saw Luo Jing hiding at the door of the Han family, this time she looked carefully and found that there was no one there, so she knocked on the door of the Han family with confidence.
Han Qing was waiting in the yard as usual, but this time there was a woman beside him. Su Nian had never seen a woman in the Han family, so she took a closer look.
The woman was very beautiful, with charming features, a small face the size of a palm, and a very good figure. However, no matter how well she took care of herself, it was obvious that she was not young.
The woman was also looking at Su Nian, "Xiaoqing, whose child is this girl?"
"She's not a child from the orphanage," Han Qing walked up to Su Nian and introduced them to each other. "This is my aunt, and this is Su Nian. Now she's helping Grandpa with his medical treatment!"
The woman Han Qing called "Auntie" suddenly showed a look of surprise, "Oh, look at this beautiful child, I thought she was your friend, I didn't expect she was actually a young doctor!"
Han Qing frowned and motioned for Su Nian to follow him. "Aunt, please do as you please. Grandpa needs treatment!"
My aunt seemed to want to say something, but Su Nian had already been taken away by Han Qing. She was alone, lost in thought, and no one knew what she was thinking about.
Grandpa Han was in good spirits. Seeing Su Nian, he took the initiative to greet her, "Good morning, Doctor Su!"
It was already past noon, so it was really not morning, but Su Nian still smiled and said, "Yes, how did you sleep, old man?"
Grandpa Han lowered his voice and said like an old child, "Let me tell you something. I had a dream last night. When it was almost dawn, I suddenly woke up. I felt like I had stretched myself!"
Stretching is an action that everyone can do, but paralyzed patients cannot do it, especially those like Grandpa Han who have completely lost sensation below the waist.
Han Qing felt a little embarrassed, thinking that his grandfather was trying to stand up.
But Su Nian smiled knowingly: "Oh, this means that your veins are now unblocked and your nerves are beginning to rebuild!"
"What?" Grandpa Han and Han Qing were both stunned.
