After three cups of wine and a sweet pillow, Su Nian woke up from her dream. These two words flashed through her mind. She was young after all. Her body, which had been almost drained by continuous use for a week, recovered after a night of sound sleep.
She couldn't help but stretch out her arms and did a long stretch. Her arms touched the soft quilt beside her, and she remembered the absurdity of last night.
No wonder Chu Beichen said that he would do something shameful. That kind of thing was indeed shameful. The two of them were making a fuss in the end and almost got into trouble. However, Chu Beichen held back at the last moment and did not cross the bottom line.
But he was reluctant to leave, so he slept next to Su Nian with the quilt in his arms, and the two of them slept in each other's arms until dawn.
Su Nian stood up, tidied her hair, opened the door and went to find Chu Beichen.
Walking through the living room, the scattered food and cans on the coffee table were gone. It must have been Chu Beichen who cleaned them up.
Su Nian rubbed her cheek and walked into the kitchen. Chu Beichen was busy working in just a shirt, a wide leather belt outlining his slender waist.
Su Nian hugged Chu Beichen from behind and put her face on his broad back, "Why don't you sleep a little longer?"
Chu Beichen grabbed Su Nian's hand and asked her to stick closer to him. "I'm used to getting up early. I'll make breakfast for you!"
Su Nian leaned her head out from behind him and saw rice porridge boiling in the pot, but it was not snow-white in color and something had been added to it.
"It smells so good," Su Nian was very curious, "What's in the pot?"
"Preserved egg and lean meat porridge," Chu Beichen said proudly, "It will nourish you well!"
"Hate it, it's not real, why does it need to be replenished?" Su Nian has slowly accepted Chu Beichen's teasing rhythm.
"Haha, then I'll make it up to you now," Chu Beichen moved quickly, turned around, picked up Su Nian and walked out of the kitchen.
Su Nian reached out and hit his shoulder, "Put me down!"
Chu Beichen chuckled and placed her next to the dining table. He reached out and scratched her nose. "You have big eyes and a small mouth. You always yell for no reason, but when the real fight comes, you run faster than a rabbit!"
Su Nian didn't care. She sat down with a giggle and poured herself a glass of warm water.
She simply washed up and ran into the kitchen to help. Chu Beichen had already prepared breakfast. The fragrant century egg and lean meat porridge was steaming in the bowl. "It's ready. Bring the pickles over. Don't touch the porridge. The bowl is hot!" He reminded her considerately.
The eight-treasure pickles were translucent and had a little sesame oil sprinkled on top for flavor. Su Nian sniffed it and asked, "Is this from Liu Biju? When did you buy it?"
Chu Beichen smiled and pointed at the refrigerator. "Mom bought it for me. If I hadn't told her that no one would eat it and it would go bad, she would have filled the refrigerator!"
Su Nian slapped his head and said, "Oh no! I forgot to call home yesterday!"
"Don't worry," Chu Beichen put the porridge in front of Su Nian, "I told them when I bought the roast goose in the market!"
Su Nian touched his nose, feeling guilty. The two of them hadn't even had their wedding yet, but they were already so impatient to sneak out and spend some time together as a couple. It sounded like they were ungrateful and impatient. "What did you say?" Su Nian asked pitifully, blinking.
"Haha, look how scared you are! I just said there are still some things to tidy up in the new house, and I'll do some work tonight, so I won't be going back!" Chu Beichen stuffed the spoon into Su Nian's hand. "They just told me not to overwork myself, and didn't say anything else!"
