Su Nian pulled the wolf cub off her legs, held it in her arms and walked inside. Grandpa Han saw her from a distance and said, "Xiaoxiao, put Wangzi down. If you hold him like this, he won't have any wolfish nature!"
Su Nian smiled and put the little wolf cub on the ground. "It has long lost its wolf nature. When we were at Tang Xin's house, we used it on our legs as a cushion!"
Grandpa Han kept shaking his head and held out his hand for the wolf cub to come over. "You are a wolf, don't play with little girls!"
Su Nian was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. She had long forgotten the strange incident of meeting the old hunter on the road.
Han Qing put his hands on his hips and said, "You've come at the right time. Come in and take a look at the things you've proposed marriage to!"
Su Nian and Chu Beichen supported Grandpa Han as they walked into the house. They saw that the house was filled with boxes of all sizes. "What are these?"
Han Qing had a worried look on his face. "Grandpa said the more gifts the better. If I hadn't stopped him, he would have even brought two wild geese!"
Gifts are always welcome, but in this day and age, sending wild geese is a bit strange. Su Nian thought about it and asked, "What do you think?"
Han Qing spread his hands and said, "I can only listen to Grandpa!"
Grandpa Han smacked his cane and said, "That's right, listen to me and I promise you'll find a wife!"
Han Qing smiled bitterly, opened a few boxes, showed Su Nian and Chu Beichen a few things he was undecided about, and finally decided on a few.
Several people worked together, and finally put the eliminated ones aside. Su Nian wiped the sweat from his forehead and asked, "Is there anything else you need our help with?"
"We'll be leaving by plane the day after tomorrow and will probably be back in three to five days." Han Qing threw down the things in his hands and sat on the sofa, panting. "If you two don't have anything to do, come stay here and feed the rabbits and wolf cubs at home!"
"Did you take away all the staff in the yard?" Su Nian asked.
"Since Fatty Zhang isn't going, I can cook for you at home!" Han Qing pointed to the yard. "There were originally quite a few of us, so we could have stayed. But now it's Chinese New Year, and a few of the guys are home on vacation, so we're short on manpower!"
"Okay," Chu Beichen agreed immediately, "We're all still on vacation, so we have nothing to do!"
Before leaving, Han Qing called Su Nian and said, "Grandma has been a bit restless lately, you better be careful!"
Su Nian thought of the strange old man and wanted to ask Han Qing to investigate, but the old man just left after a brief encounter. She didn't know where to start, so she shook her head and said, "I'm fine, go ahead and ask for marriage!"
After attacking Su Nian, the old hunter found that he was not capable enough to control her, so he began to think about how to explain to Grandma Bai. Naturally, he would not admit that he was not as skilled as her.
The old hunter was a very experienced man. He did not intend to tell the truth to Grandma Bai, but planned to find some other excuses to get away with it.
But when the old hunter arrived at the hospital, before he even entered the ward, he was stopped outside by the medical staff, "Mrs. Bai has been discharged!"
The old hunter felt a chill in his heart, knowing that he could not outsmart his father-in-law and mother-in-law, and was kicked out by her.
Sure enough, the old hunter wandered around the hospital and didn't find anyone he knew. It was as if the Bai family had evaporated from the face of the earth, just vanishing out of thin air!
He turned around to look for the Bai family members who were traveling with him, but found that there was no one behind him. One of the drivers had slipped away long ago under the pretext of parking, and the other assistant disappeared at some point.
The old hunter had been hunting bears for many years, but this was the first time he faced the vicious hearts of people inside the pass. He was so angry that he punched the wall.
