Chapter 1159: Quite self-aware

Chapter 1159: Quite self-aware

Ye Yao, who had "nothing to do" in the afternoon, got off work on time, and as expected, he did not see Sun You again.

But although he did not show up, the family's driver came straight to meet him.

"Miss, I'm here to pick you up from get off work."

"I didn't tell Uncle Jiang that he was coming to pick me up." Ye Yao felt a little strange.

"It was Master Wang's order."

"Wang Da Kui?"

Ye Yao's eyes flickered. What on earth is this kid doing?

Ten minutes later, Ye Yao arrived home and the housekeeper immediately came forward and took the coat from her.

The room was quiet. Not only was Sun You not there, but even Wang Da Kui was nowhere to be seen.

"Is Master Sun out?"

"No, Master Sun has been staying in his room today. He seems to be feeling a little unwell."

The housekeeper's words made Ye Yao frown.

Thinking about last night, he waited for me for so long in the cold wind, he must have caught a cold.

"Where's Wang Da Kui?"

"Master Wang..."

The butler hesitated slightly. It seemed that he hadn't seen him for more than an hour.

But what is certain is that he definitely did not go out.

"Forget it, I'll go see Sun You."

After saying that, Ye Yao walked straight towards Sun You's room.

Knock knock knock.

"Come in."

Sun You's somewhat hoarse voice came from inside the room.

Ye Yao pushed open the door and walked in.

He was half leaning on the bed, holding a book in his hand, and his face did not look very good.

When he saw Ye Yao coming in, he put the book in his hand aside and lifted the quilt on his body.

"Why did you come back so early today?"

"Just after normal working hours."

Ye Yao looked at the unusual blush on his cheeks and realized that he might have a fever.

"Uncle Jiang said you're not feeling well?"

As she spoke, she walked up to him and reached out her hand to touch his forehead.

The temperature is indeed scorching.

Sun You remained motionless, but a fleeting smile flashed across his eyes.

"Really? No wonder I feel dizzy today and have no appetite."

Ye Yao retracted his hand, "You have a fever. I'll take you to the hospital."

I reminded him yesterday, but he didn't listen. Sure enough, he got sick today.

"It's okay, it's just a cold and fever, it will be fine after a rest."

Sun You said as he sat back down on the bed.

Ye Yao looked at his spirit and it seemed that he was still okay.

"Then I'll go find Uncle Jiang and see if there's any antipyretic medicine at home."

Sun You nodded.

When Ye Yao walked out of the room, Wang Da Kui was already sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed.

He was eager to say hello to her, but when he saw her coming out of Sun You's room, the smile on his face froze.

"Aunt, I specifically asked the driver to pick you up after get off work. How about it? Am I very considerate?"

Ye Yao rolled his eyes, "What on earth have you been doing these past two days?"

"What do you mean I'm doing this? I'm doing this for your own good. If I don't call a car, what if that Young Master Sun comes to pick you up? Wouldn't that be very embarrassing?"

Ye Yao: ...

It turns out that this was what he was thinking.

"Then should I thank you for your kindness?"

"That's not necessary. My aunt is always so nice to me, and there's nothing I can do to help you. Now it's no problem for me to be your flower protector and help you block those bad peach blossoms outside."

Wang Da Kui had a bright smile on his face, as if he had done something very proud.

Ye Yao was too lazy to say anything more to him.

"Uncle Jiang, do you have any cold and fever medicine at home?"

"Aunt, do you have a fever?"

Wang Da Kui's expression became serious and he quickly looked towards her.

"It's not me, it's Sun You who has a fever."

"I'll get it for you now."

The housekeeper agreed and went to get the medicine box.

Wang Da Kui was mumbling to himself.

Pretty boys are just pretentious.

"Aunt, is Young Master Sun really ill? Isn't he deliberately using a self-torture tactic to get close to you?"

"Do you think everyone is as dirty as you? Besides, can you pretend to be sick?"

After hearing what Ye Yao said, Wang Da Kui had no choice but to shut up.

A moment later, the butler returned to Ye Yao with the medicine box.

However, before Ye Yao could take the medicine box, Wang Da Kui took it first.

"Aunt, Master Sun is a man after all. It's not good for you two to be together. Let me take these medicines to Master Sun."

Ye Yao looked at him with a slightly shaking look in his eyes.

Originally, she thought that this fool was just acting on impulse and deliberately targeting Sun You, but now it seems that he really doesn't want her to have too much contact with Sun You.

There's really nothing wrong with that.

"Well, let him drink all the medicine. Uncle Jiang, tell the kitchen to make some ginger and sugar water, and then some rice porridge or something else that's easy to digest, and then send them all to Young Master Sun."

After everything was arranged, Ye Yao returned to his room.

Sun You had been waiting for Ye Yao to come back with the medicine. It was rare that he suddenly fell ill, so he wanted her to care about him.

Hearing a burst of heavy footsteps, he immediately "collapsed" weakly.

Soon the door was pushed open from the outside.

The moment he saw Wang Da Kui walk in carrying a medicine box, all the expressions on his face fell.

How could it be him? ! "Master Sun, my aunt just said you have a fever and asked me to bring you some medicine."

Wang Da Kui strode to his bedside and after he finished speaking, he threw the medicine box directly onto the bed beside his legs.

Sun You's eyes flickered, and after a moment of silence, he sat up straighter.

"Thanks."

"Don't thank me. You are our guest when you live here. If anything happens to you, it will be our fault for not taking good care of you.

But your physical fitness is really too poor.

I just went outside and enjoyed the cool breeze last night, but I got sick today.

If this happened in my hometown, it would be a typical case of a sickly child.”

Wang Da Kui looked at his face while gloating.

He did look somewhat haggard, and it didn't seem like he was pretending.

"Wang Da Kui, can I ask you a question?"

Sun You seemed to not notice the sarcasm in his words at all and just looked at him "calmly".

"What's the problem? If it's about my aunt, just keep your mouth shut."

Wang Dakai expressed his attitude first.

"Why do I feel like you are particularly hostile to me?"

As Sun You finished speaking, the air in the room seemed to become a little more oppressive.

Wang Da Kui curled his lips, this pretty boy is really self-aware.

"Master Sun, why do you think so? I definitely don't. You are my aunt's friend, which means you are also my friend. We are all friends!"
