Chapter 400: Unable to Love, Hate to Leave (Part 9)
Li Cheng sat on a chair and looked at Ye Yao on the bed, his expression more complicated than ever before.
Not knowing how much time had passed, Ye Yao woke up from his sleep and asked in a low voice.
"What time is it?"
She originally wanted to wait for him to come back with water, but she fell asleep as soon as she lay down.
"One fifty, you should get some sleep."
Li Cheng knew that she must be exhausted today.
Instead, Ye Yao sat up and stretched his body. He first looked at Zhang Qiufeng on the hospital bed, and then motioned for him to sit next to her.
Li Cheng came straight to her.
"I'm not sleepy at all now, go to sleep."
Ye Yao said softly, after all, he still had to work tomorrow.
Li Cheng shook his head, "I'm not sleepy either, I'll stay with you."
Ye Yao wanted to say something, but Li Cheng sat down and held her hand.
Ye Yao: ...
The sudden "intimacy" surprised her, but she didn't move at all, just letting him hold her.
"What’s wrong with you?"
Looking at his tense profile and "abnormal" behavior, she couldn't help but ask.
"Nothing, I just feel bad about myself."
Li Cheng didn't look at her because he was really afraid that she would see through him and he wouldn't be able to hide his thoughts.
"What's wrong?"
Ye Yao frowned. He was not the kind of person who would underestimate himself.
"I didn't come to you earlier, to pay attention to you and help you."
Li Cheng suppressed his voice. They obviously lived in the same compound, but he had never been involved in her previous 18 years of life.
If he could be like this earlier, perhaps they would suffer less.
Ye Yao's breathing paused, and she was moved by his "confession".
Compared to liking you and those vows of love, she liked what he just said more.
"It's not too late now."
They still have a long, long time ahead of them, and so much, so much to experience and grow together.
Li Cheng's expression softened and he turned to look at her.
There is no room for anyone else in those eyes except her.

After the doctor examined her, he determined that Zhang Qiufeng was not seriously injured and completed the discharge procedures for her.
When walking out of the hospital gate, Li Cheng suddenly stopped and looked towards a certain place on the second floor.
"What are you looking at?"
Ye Yao looked in the direction he was looking, but there was nothing there except the window.
Li Cheng shook his head, "Nothing, let's go."
At this moment, Ye Dong was standing behind one of the windows, following their departing figures, his eyes filled with red bloodshot.
Will we have a chance to meet again in the future? Will we be able to meet again?

Everyone in the compound heard the news that Zhang Qiufeng was discharged from the hospital, and many people were chatting while craning their necks to wait.
I heard that Ye Yao almost killed someone yesterday. If he could come back safe and sound today, it would be really amazing.
Not long after, Li Cheng's car drove into the compound.
He frowned as he looked at the neighbors who were staring at the car.
"How do they know that Auntie was discharged from the hospital today?"
He only told his father on the phone, and Zhao Jianshe would not tell these to outsiders.
Ye Yao looked calm, "Have you forgotten Wang Da Kui? With that guy here, there is nothing we can't promote."
Li Cheng didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He really had forgotten about him.
Soon the car arrived at the door of the Ye family. Sure enough, Wang Da Kui was right next to them, excitedly talking and gesturing to Aunt Li in the front yard.
