Chapter 280 Arrival at Mafang City

The Qian family was worried that Shen Nan would come to make trouble again the next day, so after packing up their things, Qian Jincai drove a tractor to the county town early the next morning.

Now that Yu Min was gone and the family had moved away, no one would farm the land anymore, so the tractor was of little use.

They decided to drive the tractor to the county town and find a place to sell it. Qian Jinling had paid for it, more than 9,000 yuan, but now they were anxious to sell it, so they planned to get a discount, maybe 4,000 or 5,000 yuan.

As a result, the family hung a sign on the tractor and waited for a whole day. There were a few people who asked about the price, but they all thought the old tractor was too expensive and refused to buy it.

Finally, the family made up their minds and bargained down the price to three thousand for the next person who came to ask, and they immediately made the deal.

Although the price was a thousand or two thousand less, which was not a small amount for rural people, it was just a drop in the bucket for Qian Jinling.

When they thought about living in a big villa with Qian Jinling and eating delicious food in the future, they were so excited that they felt that the one or two thousand yuan was not money at all.

After selling the tractor, Mrs. Qian put the money in her pocket and went to the bus station with her family to buy the last bus ticket to Mafang City that day.

After more than an hour's drive, the group finally arrived in the city of Mafang. Because they had so much luggage, it was too troublesome to move it to the nearby train station.

Old Lady Qian gave the order directly: "Boss, you and Xiaobin go to the train station to buy tickets to the provincial capital. We will stay here to look after the luggage. Come back as soon as you buy the tickets..."

Mafang City is a bit far from the provincial capital where Qian Jinling is located. One is in the north of the province and the other is in the south of the province. It takes about ten hours to get there by green train.

This is also the main reason why Qian Jinling can only go back to her parents' home two or three times a year. The long distance is really too tiring.

She doesn't feel like she owes anything to her natal family. She is the one who supports her parents with all their money, including Qian Jincai's family, who are all supported with her money.

Her parents favored boys over girls, and although they were quite nice to her since she was a child, they were definitely not as generous to her as they were to their other sons.

Because of this, she had never thought about bringing her parents to live with her to take good care of them. Now that she had the money, she couldn't possibly ask her, a married daughter, to do the work, right?

Qian Jincai and Qian Longbin excitedly arrived at the train station with the money given by the old lady. With their previous experience of taking the train, they were familiar with buying tickets. After waiting in line for over an hour, they bought tickets for a train to the provincial capital two days later.

That meant they would need to stay in Mafang City for two more days. It was already six o'clock when they got off the bus, and it was already dark. By the time they bought their tickets and met up, it was almost eight o'clock.

The family was hungry and tired, so they decided to find a hotel nearby to stay, put down their luggage and eat something.

The area around the train station is more popular than other places. Back then, there wasn't much of a nightlife. Even in the city, many shops would be closed by 8 o'clock. There would be few people on the streets, as everyone had gone home to eat and watch TV.

It's different at the train station. There are passengers getting on and off the train at all times. In order to make more money, many small shops or snack stalls stay open until late at night.

Old Mrs. Qian and her family booked two rooms in the hotel. Qian Jincai and his son Qian Longbin stayed in one room, and the old couple and Qian Meijuan stayed in another room.

After putting down their luggage and locking the door, the family went out in a lively manner.

Except for Old Man Qian and his grandson Qian Meijuan, the other three went to Jiangyuan City and saw the world.
