Chapter 97: Lucky Old Man Qian

The night Mrs. Qian was put in a sack, Mr. Qian had just returned home from watching a movie. Humming a little tune, he entered the house and was immediately scolded by his wife: "You still remember to come back? Look at the time! The next time you come back so late at night, just die outside and don't come back..."

Old Man Qian was completely bewildered. What the hell was going on? I didn't mess with this tigress today. Wasn't my eldest grandson having his birthday at noon and he was fine? Besides, it's only a little after ten o'clock. The movie's over, and everyone's going home at this hour, isn't that late?

Although Old Man Qian didn't know why he was being scolded, he didn't say anything in reply. He'd been controlled by this old woman his whole life, but he was used to it.

This old man Qian was similar to his second son, Qian Jindou, in that he was both polished and handsome, though his family was a bit poor. The old lady had many brothers, all of them big and strong. When the old lady first fell in love with Old Man Qian, she resorted to a "hero-rescue-beauty" scheme, much like the heroine in a novel who falls into the water and is rescued by the hero.

When she was in her twenties and in love, Old Lady Qian took advantage of the opportunity when her old man went to the river alone, and jumped into the ditch that was above her knees with a splash. She struggled in the water and shouted for help. Old Man Qian looked at the girl struggling in the water, and not only did he not jump into the water to save her, he also clapped his hands and laughed by the river.

The two were from the same village and knew each other. Old Man Qian had never been interested in the woman in the water, and he was annoyed by her constant approach. Now that he saw the woman in trouble, he finally got the chance to laugh at her and let her know that he really didn't care about her at all.

Old Mrs. Qian, who has always been strong, was a person who would never give up until she achieved her goal when she was young. How could she give up just like that? So she decided to go all out and stood up from the water.

She was soaked all over, and it was summer, so the thin fabric of her clothes stuck tightly to her body, revealing the girl's graceful figure.

In that conservative era, women all wore loose and baggy clothes. The young man in his early twenties who had not yet married had never seen such a scene. Qian, who was laughing heartily the previous second, started staring at the girl in the water and swallowing secretly the next second.

The girl saw that this was a possibility and immediately walked out of the water. Before the boy could come to his senses, something soft and warm touched his chest. This wonderful feeling made the boy blush instantly. But the girl kept rubbing against him, which aroused the evil fire in the boy's chest.

In this way, the two were tied together for the rest of their lives.

In the first few years of his marriage, with the help of Mrs. Qian's family, Old Man Qian escaped his impoverished days of hunger and starvation. However, as the ancients say, "When you are well fed and warm, you will think of lust." Under the strict control of Mrs. Qian, Old Man Qian felt that his life should not be bound by such a woman, and his mind gradually wandered. After his three sons and one daughter were born, he actually started to have affairs, and was caught by Mrs. Qian.

How could such a strong person like the old lady just let it go? She dragged the naked woman out of the door and threw her into the street, calling out to the villagers to watch. Even now, when Old Lady Qian sees the vixen who had an affair with Old Man Qian, she still can't help but curse her out.

As for her man, she felt a bit bad about him being seen naked by others. After all, she didn't want the family to break up, and she wanted to save some face for her child's father. It was a small punishment but a big warning. Finally, she made Old Man Qian put on his clothes and took him home. She called a few brothers to beat him up so badly that he couldn't get off the kang for more than ten days.

After that, Old Man Qian became a well-behaved man, no longer having any extravagant hopes for the glamorous world outside. Even if he had the desire, he wouldn't have the guts to do it. He also discovered that as long as he always went along with Old Lady Qian, he could live a comfortable life without having to work and with plenty of food and clothing.

Then look at the other old men, each one as tired as a grandson, and when they get home, aren't they still controlled and scolded by their old women? In comparison, his life is much better than those old men in the same village.

Especially after his second son and youngest daughter had good prospects, they often showed filial piety to the old couple, so that he had not farmed or gone out to work since he was in his fifties. Now he still lives a comfortable life. Many old men of his age envy him for his good fortune.

However, he still felt a little uncomfortable after being scolded by the old lady for no reason. It was not until a few minutes after the old lady scolded him that she started yelling at her eldest daughter-in-law that he understood why the old lady was so angry today.

The eldest daughter-in-law, Yu Min, barely slept that night. The old lady couldn't bear to order the old man around, so she sent him to her son's room and asked the eldest daughter-in-law to wait on her in her own room, waiting for her to get up at night and empty the shit pot for her.

In the end, the old lady was about to collapse, her legs were so weak that she couldn't even squat down. Yu Min had to use all her strength to support her while she was defecating to prevent her from bumping into things.

Yu Min collapsed and cried out in her heart: "This is enough to torture the old lady alone. What have I done to deserve this torture? I want to go to sleep. I don't want to wait on this fat old woman who is covered in shit and piss all night long~~"

"Mom, let's ask Uncle Changshun to come and take a look during the day. Maybe he ate something wrong and got food poisoning?" Yu Min said to the old lady after trying hard to hold his breath.

After hearing what Yu Min said, the old lady began to think carefully about what she had eaten during the day. Why was everyone else fine, but she was in such a bad state?

Ah~ That's right, there was something wrong with that longevity grass. No one in the family ate the longevity grass at noon, only she ate it.
