Chapter 95 is about Qin Zhonghua (1/2)

"Comrade Yu, it's been a long time! What brings you here? Are you feeling unwell?"

It was Qin Zhonghua, the director of the county's criminal investigation bureau.

Yu Qiuying never expected to run into him here. "Oh, Director Qin, it's been so long! I brought my parents here for a medical check-up. What brings you here?"

"I've come to visit an old friend."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Yu Qiuying learned that Qin Zhonghua had actually been transferred to the city.

"You've been transferred here? Congratulations! I didn't even know you'd been transferred here."

"Haha... You deserve some credit for this too."

As Qin Zhonghua was speaking, he suddenly asked Yu Qiuying, "By the way, you didn't encounter any trouble last year, did you?"

This left Yu Qiuying bewildered. "No, I wasn't home last year. I went to Dongguan Province and didn't come back until the 25th of the twelfth lunar month to celebrate the New Year."

"Hehe... That's good. Have you made an appointment? I happen to have a friend who works here. I'll take you to see him and have him arrange checkups for your parents. The sooner the checkups are done, the better you can go shopping."

Upon hearing this, Yu Qiuying's face lit up with joy, and she didn't stand on ceremony with him, saying, "Then thank you very much, Director Qin."

Yu Changfu and Wang Huimei looked at each other, wondering who this was.

They seem to have quite a powerful background.

Where did my daughter meet him?

The two elders were puzzled, but neither dared to ask any further questions.

Yu Qiuying thought that Qin Zhonghua's friend was just an ordinary doctor, but Qin Zhonghua took them directly to the dean's office.

"Old Qin is here. Have you visited your old leader?" The dean looked to be about the same age as Qin Zhonghua, only with fairer skin, wearing glasses, and had a refined and scholarly air.

"I haven't gone yet. I just ran into a friend who brought his elderly family members for a physical examination. It's not easy for them to come to the city from the countryside. Lao Lu, could you arrange for them to finish their examinations as soon as possible and go back home?"

As Qin Zhonghua spoke, he introduced Yu Qiuying: "This is Lu Dingyuan, Dean Lu, and also my old classmate."

Yu Qiuying hurriedly stepped forward and said, "Hello, Dean Lu, thank you for your help."

"Haha... You're too kind. Please sit down. I'll arrange for you to sit down right away." Lu Dingyuan invited Qin Zhonghua, Yu Qiuying, and the others to sit down.

Qin Zhonghua wanted to visit his old leader, so he said, "I won't sit here. I'll go see my old leader first. Lao Lu, you have to make proper arrangements for Comrade Yu and the others. I'm leaving the people in your care. I'll head over now."

"Don't worry, I'd make sure you take good care of the people you brought here personally." Lu Dingyuan escorted Qin Zhonghua to the office door.

After Qin Zhonghua left, he made a phone call, and a short while later, a male doctor in his early forties came over.

After explaining the situation to the male doctor, Lu Dingyuan said to Yu Qiuying, "Comrade Yu, this is Director Zhang. You should go with him; he will take you for examinations."

"Okay, okay, thank you, Dean Lu." Yu Qiuying thanked him and left with her parents and Director Zhang.

Let me tell you, no matter where you are, it's always convenient to get things done if you have someone you know.

In just one morning, several major examinations were completed. Yu Changfu and Wang Huimei were both fine, without any of the three highs (high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol), except for some lumbar muscle strain and osteoporosis.

Yu Qiuying was finally relieved, but she would still need her parents to come for a check-up every year.

"Oh my god, what kind of examination is this? It's so uncomfortable! Why didn't you let me eat breakfast? I'm starving! I told you we're healthy, why did you have to make us do this examination? It's so uncomfortable..." Wang Huimei had a gastroscopy and was exhausted from the ordeal. She regretted having the examination.

Yu Qiuying knew that having a gastroscopy was uncomfortable. "I was just worried about your health. Now that I know you're all healthy, I feel relieved, right? Okay, okay, let's go. I'll take you for a walk first. Mom will have to wait two hours before she can eat."
