Chapter 41 Crazy Woman
Yun Shuhuai stretched her back after drinking milk tea. The sunlight made her feel drowsy, but this was not a good place to sleep. She would go back and have a good sleep after finishing her work here.
She shook her head and stood up to wake herself up. Now that her strength had recovered a little, it was time to continue.
After cleaning the third floor, it was the turn of the second floor.
The layout of the second floor was different from that of the third floor. There were several reading rooms, study rooms, offices and libraries here, and the distribution of zombies was not as concentrated as on the third floor.
Yun Shuhuai went down from the staircase this time. The library was large enough and the sound insulation was very good. She made so much noise on the third floor but did not attract the zombies below.
There are more zombies on the second floor than on the upper floors, so it is more difficult to kill them.
As soon as she emerged from the stairs, the zombies instantly became agitated and rushed over with their claws and fangs bared. Yun Shuhuai attacked while turning around to search for supernatural zombies.
Her vision was not very good from her position. The walls and bookshelves blocked a lot of her sight. She could not see clearly how a sofa flew over.
There are powerful zombies!
Yun Shuhuai cut off the flying sofa with a knife and harvested several zombies that flew over. She jumped forward, put on the claws on her ten fingers and swung forward. The dense energy blades did not allow any zombies to get close to her.
She ran to the middle hall on the second floor and quickly scanned the surroundings. After confirming the location of the superpowered zombie, she immediately used energy bullets to eliminate it.
The second floor was a mess, with tables and bookshelves toppled over and collapsed. She looked around and saw that some of the doors of the rooms were locked, but there was a big hole in the middle of the door. There was blood and flesh and broken limbs hanging on the wooden spikes on the edge of the hole. I don’t know which unlucky person was found and dragged out by the power zombie. Some doors were slammed to the ground or cut off at the waist. It seemed that they were all caused by violent entry. I’m afraid there are no survivors here.
Yun Shuhuai quickly cleared the zombies here. The central hall had a wide field of vision, so she could easily deal with the zombies no matter where they came from.
After a while, the zombies were all eliminated, but she did not relax her vigilance. There were too many small compartments here, and it was not like the third floor where you could see the end at a glance. Some zombies were very cunning. If they hid somewhere and waited for her to slack off and then sneaked up on them, it would be a loss.
Yun Shuhuai did not stop digging for the crystal core immediately. She began to search one room after another to make sure there was no zombie on this floor.
Two shining metal rings floated around her. Yun Shuhuai released the energy, which surrounded her body like a spider web. As long as something approached her, she could sense it immediately without turning around, and the two "hunters" would attack first.
Yun Shuhuai used her arm blade to scrape the wall, making an unpleasant sound. If there was something in the room, it might react.
Most of the doors of the rooms here were broken, and no danger was found after checking, but the doors of several small houses were intact. Yun Shuhuai became alert and planned to check carefully to see if there was anything that could be taken away.
Arriving at a door, she began to use energy to search. She couldn't make energy pass through the wall yet. It wasn't that she couldn't do it, but it was too energy-consuming. Now she could only roughly search through the cracks in the door. After she felt that there was nothing inside that couldn't move, she directly broke the door lock and went in.
Most of these closed rooms were library rooms. They were not next to the outer wall, so there were no windows. The books inside were relatively valuable, and students were usually not allowed to enter, so the inside was well maintained. Except for the dust, it was still clean.
Yun Shuhuai waved her hand and collected the books inside along with the bookshelf, and then continued to search.
Until she came to a library in the east.
The door of this room seemed to be locked, but there was a hole on it, as if it was damaged from the outside. It was only big enough for a fist to pass through. She guessed that it was caused by a supernatural zombie.
When Yun Shuhuai walked over, she seemed to hear a rustling sound coming from inside. The sound was very small, but her physical strength and five senses were strengthened after the upgrade, so she still heard it.
There must be something in there!
Yun Shuhuai used energy to explore and keenly discovered that there seemed to be a living creature passing by the edge of her energy release range.
This wall inside the library is only one layer, and Yun Shuhuai's energy blade can easily tear it down.
But she did not attack immediately, because she did not know what was inside. What if it was a person?
Yun Shuhuai did not have the habit of killing innocent people. Generally speaking, she would not take the initiative to protect survivors, but if she really encountered one, she would still take care of it as long as it did not hinder her. But she would not support them in vain. At most, she would send them to a safe area or provide transportation for them to go by themselves. After that, whether they lived or died was none of her business. If they had no value, she would never keep them by her side.
"Is anyone there?" She shouted into the doorway and whistled.
There was no response from inside. She could only see rows of bookshelves from the doorway.
Yun Shuhuai did not waste any more time. She waved her hand to split the door open. When she went in, she saw that there was actually a small door on the left wall. The sound came from here.
She approached quietly and listened with her side. There seemed to be a gasp coming from the door. It was not a zombie. Zombies did not breathe at all. It must be a survivor.
This room has two doors. The extra layer of security may allow people to survive from the zombies with special powers.
Yun Shuhuai guessed that the people inside had been hiding in such a small and dark room for such a long time without food or water. There were monsters outside and they must have been scared. So she prepared to use a gentler method to wake up the survivors inside.
But before she could reach out to knock on the door, a sharp wind blade penetrated from the door in front of her and attacked her head-on.
"Fuck!"
Yun Shuhuai cursed angrily and dodged. Several more wind blades broke out of the door and cut her into several pieces in a few seconds. A black shadow rushed out from inside and rushed towards her with fangs and claws.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
If it wasn't for the scream of a woman, Yun Shuhuai almost cut her with a knife.
Yun Shuhuai took a few steps back to see the person's appearance. She was thin, unkempt, and about the same height as her.
At this time, the person was trembling all over, with an extremely terrified expression, especially the eyes that were very wide, and the black and white eyes were clearly not like the zombies covered with a layer of white film. It was indeed a human, and a wind-type mutant.
The woman stared at Yun Shuhuai, but her eyes were somewhat blurred. She screamed and attacked her like crazy.
After being trapped in this small room for such a long time, with zombies all outside, this person had been so nervous that she almost tortured herself crazy. Yun Shuhuai's approach to her last barrier completely broke her spirit.
"Calm down! Calm down! I'm a human!" Yun Shuhuai shouted at her, trying to pull her out of her fear, but she couldn't hear him at all.
It is rare to wake up a person who has fallen into madness with words, and Yun Shuhuai is not her relative or friend, so she shouted twice and then shut up, not wasting time.
It is better to subdue her with force.
Yun Shuhuai raised her hand to block the woman's attack. After a few moves, she found that this person was still a martial artist. Although she was still crazy, her moves were well-organized. She was not grabbing around without any rules like the crazy woman she imagined.
This person has not used her superpowers since she came out of the small room. Yun Shuhuai thought that she was only a first-level superpower user and should have just awakened. Those wind blades were probably used by her in extreme fear. After the real battle, he still relied on his body memory to fight her.
But a madman is a madman, and in a frenzy, she made all kinds of mistakes. Yun Shuhuai knocked her down in a few moves and chopped her neck with a knife to stop her screaming.
