Chapter 5: Space Appearance

Due to time constraints, Su Jin did not stay at this booth for long. After agreeing with the man with glasses to come back to pick out the goods during lunch break the next day, Su Jin saw that time was almost up, so he stood up and prepared to go back to the company booth.

The bespectacled man's attitude towards Su Jin had completely changed. His booth was generally quite busy, as the crowds attending the exhibition were relatively small. It seemed like everyone had little demand for knives. This was their first year at the show, and they wanted to test the waters and see if they could attract long-term, stable customers.

When Su Jin returned to the company's booth, she noticed everyone was looking at her. She immediately understood that Wang Linda must have tipped off her about leaving, saving her the trouble of explaining it to anyone else.

"Su Jin, are you really going back? You just got here!"

Assistant Zhang asked with a look of regret. He was planning to learn more from Su Jinduo about what happened in the morning, but he was about to leave.

"Yes, I'm sorry too, because it happened suddenly and I just made the decision." Su Jin said embarrassedly. She was really embarrassed. When she was reborn, she was already on the plane. Since the arrow has been shot and there is no turning back, she decided to go with the flow and see if she can find some useful things at the trade fair.

After chatting with colleagues for a few minutes, customers started to arrive. Since there were no foreign customers at the moment, Wang Zhu asked Su Jin to go into the booth compartment.

Su Jin stuck out his tongue and went in.

Wang Zhu and Wang Linda were both in the cubicle. Wang Zhu didn't blame Su Jin, but asked, "Have you thought it through?"

"Yes, Mr. Wang, I'm sorry," Su Jin said sincerely.

"Well, I respect your decision, and you don't have to feel embarrassed. Linda has already recommended a translator here, but have you thought about how to deal with the head office?" Wang Zhu also felt it was a pity. He originally wanted to observe Su Jin for a few more days to see if what happened in the morning was a coincidence.

"I've decided to resign when I go back, Mr. Wang." Even Wang Linda was surprised at this time. After all, Su Jin had worked in the head office for three years, and his salary was relatively high locally. She didn't expect that he would leave just like that.

"Is your family situation so serious?" Wang Zhu couldn't help but ask.

Su Jin didn't know how to answer this question. As expected, if he told one lie, he would have to tell ten more lies to cover it up. But Su Jin didn't want to make up so many lies. The bosses were not fools. They could tell the difference between these employees' excuses. If he told too many, it would make them unconvincing.

"It happened suddenly, I have to go back," said Su Jin.

"Okay then. The person Linda recommended will be here tomorrow. You should hand over the work to her then. You must teach her any technical terms she doesn't understand."

"Please rest assured, Mr. Wang, I will hurry up and get the newcomer up to speed."

Wang Zhu seemed to be relieved at this point. At this moment, Assistant Zhang came over to call Wang Linda and Su Jin, saying that a customer came to consult. So Wang Linda took Su Jin out of the cubicle.

After an afternoon of work, Su Jin was a little tired. Fortunately, he didn't have to stay here for a month and waste his time.

After the exhibition ended in the afternoon, Su Jin said that he could take the subway back to the hotel and avoid traffic jams during peak hours.

Assistant Zhang glanced at Su Jin's finger, which was wrapped in gauze, and asked with concern, "Xiao Su, is your hand okay? Do you want to go to the hospital?"

"It's okay, I just got scratched by the door lock when I went to the restroom. It has been disinfected." Feeling a little warm, Su Jin planned to give Assistant Zhang some more tips before leaving Province G.

Back in the hotel room, Su Jin prepared to take a shower and change into comfortable pajamas before practicing his wood-related abilities.

The wound was a little painful when it was pulled, but Su Jin thought it was a minor injury, so he didn't care.

The gauze was inevitably stained with water while taking a shower. Su Jin planned to change the gauze and medicine powder given by the man with glasses after washing. She did not notice that the wound on her finger began to bleed again. The diluted blood flowed along the water used by Su Jin to wash her hair and into the pendant on Su Jin's chest.

When Su Jin finished rinsing the foam in her hair, she opened her eyes and found that her chest was glowing.

What's going on? Does this pendant have batteries?

The pendant around Su Jin's neck was a gift from Lu Hao when they got engaged. Later, she learned that it was left to him by his deceased mother. It was said that it was a "family heirloom" passed down from generation to generation.

Before she could figure out what was going on, Su Jin felt that she was suddenly sucked in by a suction force. In a panic, she could only pull at the bath towel hanging beside her.

Until he felt a chill all over his body, Su Jin found himself being sucked onto a hard stone platform.

Su Jin hugged her small bath towel in her arms, trembling. Had she been reborn and traveled through time again? What the hell was this place?!

Although the scenery of this place is quite nice, apart from the rocks, there are cultivated fields all around. They are called cultivated fields because the soil in the fields looks loose and neat, as if waiting for people to sow seeds.

Afraid that someone would show up, Su Jin quickly wrapped herself in a bath towel and tied it tightly.

Su Jin walked down the steps around the stone platform and continued to look around barefoot, trying to figure out what was going on.

In front of her right was a stone tablet with words engraved on it. Inscribed on it were traditional Chinese characters: "Muling Space"

This is actually a space? So she came to this space because of the pendant?

Su Jin felt that he must have died a stupid death in his previous life, carrying this heaven-defying artifact and making himself so miserable.

In my previous life, I was unable to open this space until I died. This time, I was able to open the space before the end of the world, which was just a coincidence.

Behind the stone tablet was a building that looked like a mansion from a period TV show. Su Jin walked over to it. There were no steps at the entrance, but just above it was a black wooden plaque with the words "Lu's Residence" written in gold.

So this space belongs to Lu Hao’s home?

Su Jin pushed open the wooden door and walked into the mansion. What came into view was a courtyard with a garden. Directly in front of the courtyard was the main hall of the mansion. Su Jin knew that this space could not be occupied by anyone else, so he walked towards the main hall boldly.

On both sides of the yard are two gardens surrounded by stone fences, full of flowers and plants. There is also a neatly trimmed tree in the garden on the left. Su Jin felt that her wood energy was fluctuating, as if it was about to drill out of her body.

Trying hard to suppress the wood energy that was about to escape, Su Jin walked into the main hall. The main hall was simply furnished. On the left was a rectangular wooden table for drinking tea and playing chess, which also held a set of carved jade-colored tea sets. On the right were two rows of bookshelves against the wall, scattered with a few ancient books.

In the middle of the main hall was a set of neatly arranged hexagonal wooden tables and chairs. A rectangular jade slip sat on the tabletop. Su Jin picked up the slip and tried to study it, but it suddenly emitted a powerful light that shot directly towards Su Jin's brow.

So, does Lu Hao's baby always love to shine so brightly? Aren't they really afraid of blinding future generations? Su Jin silently complained in his heart.
