Chapter 9: Vision Appears

Su Jin was walking with Assistant Zhang, who kept gushing about how famous the restaurant was and how several celebrities had eaten there. He then pulled out his phone and showed Su Jin pictures of the restaurant's signature dishes. Su Jin truly felt that Assistant Zhang was a perfect fit to be her best friend for shopping, dining, and fun.

When everyone was about to reach the entrance of the seafood restaurant, they heard a loud bang, followed by a scream, and then Su Jin saw a man lying on the sidewalk not far away, covered in blood. The man was lying there headfirst, with one of his legs twisted and deformed, and he looked dead.

There were people in the crowd screaming, sighing, and taking pictures with their phones. No one noticed that the man lying on the ground moved his fingers slightly.

Colleagues at the branch office also witnessed this tragedy. The female colleagues all turned pale. Wang Zhu inadvertently noticed Su Jin's expression and found that although she looked shocked, she did not look scared at all.

Su Jin was shocked. The man was covered in blood, with wounds of all sizes, clearly from bites and scratches. Could it be that zombies had already appeared at this time?

At this time, the man on the ground suddenly lowered his head and slowly stood up. Although his speed was very slow and a little unstable, and it looked like he was about to fall down at any time, he still stood up and took two steps forward.

Assistant Zhang was still wondering how he managed to stand up with his broken leg. Suddenly, the man raised his head, revealing half of his face that had been smashed, and lunged towards Assistant Zhang with his mouth wide open.

"Ah~~~" Wei Xiaoyan, who was standing behind Assistant Zhang, was so scared that her legs went weak. She was standing behind Assistant Zhang and saw the man running towards her. She couldn't help but reach out and push Assistant Zhang.

Assistant Zhang stumbled forward two steps, seeing the bloodied man only ten centimeters away from him. He silently closed his eyes. It was so disgusting and smelly. This man was going to bite him. Who was so heartless to push him?

Su Jin has realized at this moment that this is undoubtedly a zombie. Although she doesn't know why it appeared so early, she can't just watch Assistant Zhang get bitten.

She only had a small bag slung across her body and no suitable weapon, so Su Jin simply picked up a red fire extinguisher on the side of the road and smashed it hard at the man!

The fire extinguisher hit the man right on the head. No, to be more precise, it hit the male zombie on the head.

Su Jin did not use all her strength, but only used one tenth of her strength. She was afraid that if she used too much force, she would make a big hole in the floor under the male zombie's feet.

The crowd screamed again, not because of Su Jin's violent behavior, but because the man had a hole in his head but was still struggling to stand up.

Su Jin pulled the terrified Assistant Zhang behind him, looked at the still struggling male zombie, suppressed the wood energy stirring in his body, picked up the coiled water pipe next to the fire extinguisher, ran quickly to the male zombie, circled around him several times, and tied him up tightly.

Now Su Jin didn't dare to get rid of the zombie because she could hear the sirens coming from the distance, and she didn't want to be caught as a suspect of committing a crime in the street.

Seven or eight fully armed police officers got out of the police car and quickly ran to and stood in front of the crowd to maintain order.

Next came the ambulance, from which got out two male doctors carrying stretchers and several female nurses.

One of the nurses, who had pigtails, saw the man, who was tied up like a dumpling and even had his mouth strangled by a water pipe and was covered in blood, and she couldn't help but scream, "Who did this?"

Why was the patient, already covered in blood, tied up like this, with a shocking hole in his head? Who was so violent?

"It's her, it was her who did it. She hit the seriously injured person with a fire extinguisher and tied him up with a water pipe!" Wei Xiaoyan jumped out and pointed at Su Jin.

"He tried to bite me first, so my friend tied him up." Assistant Zhang couldn't bear to watch Su Jin being misunderstood by the young nurse.

"How could he bite you when his legs are broken like this?" the young nurse insisted.

Su Jin shrugged helplessly. Everyone in the crowd had seen what had just happened. She certainly wasn't hurting anyone for no reason, and there were many enthusiastic people in the crowd who spoke up for her. But Wei Xiaoyan was interesting. Was she trying to convict her? Ridiculous. She'd remembered this grudge!

Everyone at the branch office had seen Wei Xiaoyan push Assistant Wang, and now she was blaming Su Jin for saving him. This new colleague was so heartless, I wouldn't dare deal with someone like her again.

Even Wang Zhu was considering whether to let Wei Xiaoyan pass the probation period, although he was more surprised by Su Jin's skills. She was definitely a martial artist!

At this time, a man carrying a stretcher came forward to rescue the man. The young nurse with twin ponytails stopped pursuing the matter and turned around to untie the water pipe that was in the man's mouth.

Before Su Jin could stop her, the water pipe had been removed, and the male zombie bit the little nurse with twin pigtails right on the face!

The male zombie bit off a large piece of flesh from the right side of the face of the little nurse with twin ponytails. Everyone gasped when they saw it. Those who had just thought that Su Jin had gone too far now thought that Su Jin's action was very wise.

The young nurse didn't understand why the patient who had just spoken for her was biting her, and she fell to the ground screaming in pain. The male zombie, though still bound from the waist down, stood up with his broken legs and prepared to pounce on the person next to him!

With a gunshot, the male zombie finally fell down. It was an armed police officer standing in front who directly shot the male zombie in the head with a gun.

The shooting skill was so accurate that Su Jin wanted to applaud.

The bitten nurse was in so much pain that she didn't have the strength to scream out. She was placed on a stretcher by several medical colleagues and carried into the ambulance.

Su Jin wanted to say something, but she also knew that even if she told others that the young nurse had been infected, no one would believe her, so she wisely kept her mouth shut.

Afterwards, the armed police asked Su Jin and Assistant Zhang and his group to stay temporarily and evacuated the crowd.

The armed policeman who had just blown the zombie's head with a gun walked over, bit off the pen cap with his mouth, held the notebook in one hand and asked Su Jin and his group to make a statement. He looked at Su Jin deeply and turned away.
