Chapter 228 Mutated Grass Blocks the Road

Could it be that points and materials are more important than life? You know, once that fourth-level zombie comes out, all of them may die.

However, Master Yang was unwilling to let others know and warned her that if she explained the situation, these people would turn around and blame her for causing everyone to return empty-handed, and she would be in a difficult position.

After a struggle in her heart, Mu Cheng chose to keep quiet. Forget it. Since Master Yang said that he was the person in charge here, why should she worry about it? At worst, if she found something wrong, she could immediately take her teammates and leave.

After figuring it out, Mu Cheng found her teammates one by one and told them to follow her out immediately if there was any movement and not to stay here.

After talking to his teammates, Mu Cheng's gaze fell on the dean's office, where all the research materials for this laboratory should be found.

The women in the basement and the fourth-level zombie should be related to this laboratory. She wants to take them back to have a look.

She walked into the dean's office. The office was very messy, with papers scattered all over the floor. Mu Cheng picked up one and took a look. It was an observation report on animals.

These should be all the research materials in the laboratory. Thinking of this, Mu Cheng started to pull out all the information, put it into the space, and prepared to leave the dean's office. When she turned around, her eyes fell on the computer in front of the desk.

Something smashed the screen of that computer. Could there be important files inside?

After thinking for a moment, she walked forward and put the computer into the space.

It took them another hour or so to move the laboratory equipment, chairs and benches to the door, and the zombie did not appear during this time.

The iron door in the basement couldn't hold the zombie in. As for why it didn't appear, Mu Cheng didn't know and couldn't figure it out.

In short, they left the laboratory safely. Master Yang was probably worried that the things in the laboratory would be chased out, so he did not deliberately slow down the car along the way. The speed did not slow down until they left the city.

After leaving the city, those who had watched the surveillance video calmed down a little, but they did not return to the base for a moment. They did not dare to relax for a moment, and they did not dare to tell their teammates what they saw.

Even Mu Cheng seemed silent and extremely alert.

The car in front suddenly stopped, and the cars behind it also stopped.

"What's going on? Why did you stop the car?"

"Captain Yang, what happened?"

"Captain Yang, speak up!"

The intercom was filled with inquiries from the crowd. After a long while, Cheng Jiang's voice came over the intercom, "The road ahead is blocked by weeds..."

Before Cheng Jiang could finish, someone shouted into the intercom, "What's there to be afraid of weeds? Just rush over and it will be fine."

Mutated plants.

Mu Cheng raised an eyebrow and used his psychic ability to check.

There are a lot of mutant grasses ahead.

Cheng Jiang's voice came through the intercom again. "Is it necessary to ask for permission to leave? Our car has been entangled in these weeds, and the juice of these weeds is corrosive."

"Another mutated plant?" Bai Chen looked at Mu Cheng beside him.

Mu Cheng nodded, pushed open the car door, climbed onto the top of the truck, took out a telescope to check, and saw that five cars in front had been entangled by mutant plants. Master Yang and a few others were clearing the mutant grass.

But it had no effect. The mutant grass that had been cleared away would soon grow back and quickly wrap around the car.

After watching for a while, Mu Cheng got off the truck, picked up the intercom and said, "All wood and fire type ability users, get off the truck and go to the front to help."

As soon as Mu Cheng finished speaking, various questions came from the intercom.

"Who are you? Why should I listen to you?"

"Yeah! Why should I listen to you?"

"Didn't you hear? Those grasses are corrosive. You might run into danger if you go over there."

Mu Cheng jumped out of the car with the walkie-talkie in hand and walked forward while saying, "Whether you listen or not is up to you. Whether you go to help or not is also up to you. But I want to remind you that we are now grasshoppers on the same rope. If you don't go up to help now, when those mutant grasses have sucked enough blood, it will be too late to retreat."
