Chapter 401: Catching the Mutant Duck

On the third afternoon, Su Ziyu also came, ostensibly to help, but anyone with eyes could tell that he was here to pursue his wife.

Of course, no matter which one it was, Mu Cheng couldn't ask them to leave, so she could only let them do it, but it would be nice to have three more helpers.

After five days of hard work, we finally created a hundred large nets.

In the evening, while everyone was there, Mu Cheng announced that he would leave the base the next day to catch mutant ducks. The one who was most happy about this was Jiang Mingyue.

That night, Tang Nuo made a phone call to inform Qin Ziheng and the other five to gather at the south gate of the base at six o'clock the next morning.

Tang Ye also called home and asked his father for leave so that he could go out with Jiang Mingyue.

Tang Ye wanted to go with him, and Mu Cheng had no objection. It was just right for him to keep an eye on Jiang Mingyue so that if anything happened to Jiang Mingyue, she would be in a difficult position to explain.

Because they had to go out early the next morning, everyone cleaned up the pile of things in the yard and went back to their rooms to rest.

At around five o'clock the next morning, everyone drove two trucks to leave the Falcon Team and headed for the South Gate. On the way, Mu Cheng noticed that many places above the base had been covered with transparent glass. It seemed that these were not ordinary glass, but bulletproof glass, which was specially used to prevent mutant birds.

Before six o'clock, the group arrived at the south gate of the base. After meeting up with Qin Ziheng and the other three, they left the base.

The journey was relatively peaceful. Apart from some troubles, we didn't encounter any major problems. At nine o'clock in the morning, we arrived near the Rongdalou River. In order not to disturb the mutant ducks, we got off the car from a distance.

Standing on the side of the road, Mu Cheng took out a telescope to look. The dry riverbed was densely packed with mutant ducks. These ducks were at least five times larger than before. They were very tall, with long necks and thick fur.

Su Ziyu, who was watching through a telescope, said, "This duck looks to be at least 1.5 meters tall! It's bigger than an ostrich. If its legs were a little taller, it would be even bigger than an ostrich."

"They should feed on grass." Tang Ye came to a conclusion after watching. There was not a single blade of grass to be seen around the river bank. It was obvious that all the grass had been eaten by these mutant ducks.

Tang Nuo put down the telescope and analyzed, "No matter how much grass there is on both sides of the river, it's not enough for them to eat. So they must have been hungry for a long time. Because their IQ is too low, they never thought of leaving their native place to find food elsewhere."

The three of them finished their analysis. Mu Cheng pointed to the river below them and said, "Go down here and set a trap here."

"Okay!" Everyone agreed, found a place to go down the river, and waited for Mu Cheng to take out the big net. Then everyone worked together to put it together to form a very large net.

After everyone set up the net, Mu Cheng took out a bag of food that she had prepared in advance, which contained dried corn, wild grass, and rat meat. She didn't know what the mutated ducks would eat, so she prepared some.

She placed most of the food in the bag under the big net, then asked Tang Ye to take out the drone, hang the remaining half of the food on it, and then cut a hole at the bottom of the bag.

After everything was done, everyone found a place to hide. Tang Nuo controlled the drone and flew it towards the ducks. The corn kernels in the bag fell down along the way.

Soon the drone flew to the middle of the duck flock. A group of ducks saw the food scattered on the ground and immediately rushed over. These ducks had been hungry for too long and didn't care what fell and started eating it directly.

These mutant ducks followed the drone, grabbing food from the ground and rushing into the big net, happily snatching the food.

"Close the net." Mu Cheng gave an order, and the big net fell. Everyone rushed over and got into the net. All kinds of supernatural powers hit the mutant ducks in the net.
