Chapter 71 The Cage Space

For some reason, these three words suddenly popped into Jiang Ruan's mind.

Actually, she hadn't paid much attention to this in her previous life; she only knew that people with this ability were extremely rare.

Even if Gu An is exceptionally skilled, it's impossible that he would have such a coincidence that after acquiring metal-type superpowers and defensive techniques, he would also gain the ability to control zombies.

Although I had guessed it at first, it's too incredible if it's really true.

"How are you? Is there anything wrong with your body?" Jiang Ruan saw that he had been lying on the ground for a long time and hurried over to check on him. To her surprise, he was lying there lazily, looking at her with a smile.

"Are you crazy!" Jiang Ruan saw him lying down and pulled him up.

"I'm glad that I seem to be a bit more capable, so that next time something happens, I might be able to help you even more."

Gu An's gaze was firm, yet filled with a complex mix of emotions.

"Come on, give me your hand so I can see it!" Jiang Ruancheng's healing ability had leveled up a bit thanks to the crystal he had just used, and he could now diagnose a person's condition by taking their pulse.

For example, the level of special ability and its corresponding functional properties, as well as the activation of other related attributes.

Compared to the past when he could only see with his eyes and his vision was blurry, this is a great improvement.

Gu An smiled and stretched out his hand, even lifting up his sleeve to reveal the pattern inside.

It stood out even more against his fair skin.

"Hmm~ As expected, you've hit the jackpot. Your defensive skills have been upgraded, and your metal-type ability has also been upgraded. Judging from your current state, it's level two."

"If you're a level two ability user, you're much more powerful now."

This is not flattery, but the truth.

"Whether it's good or bad, it's all yours, that doesn't matter. I think the most important thing right now is that we need to get out of here as soon as possible."

Gu An felt the faint breeze and noise coming from the surroundings, and alarm bells rang in his mind. The car had broken down, and it would probably be difficult to get out of here by manpower.

They'll need to go through some trouble.

"You're right, the two-headed zombies died hastily, but the toxins they secreted after death will alert nearby zombies, and given their recklessness and ignorance, they will definitely come over without thinking."

This is clearly disadvantageous to us!

Jiang Ruan calmly analyzed the situation, knowing the pros and cons.

Gu An looked over with an appreciative gaze, then got up to see if there were any vehicles nearby that could be used. Perhaps he could see if this car could run a little longer.

"Boss, I can't take it anymore! Ah! I'm ruined!" Qingfeng scratched his neck, grabbed his head, and rolled on the ground.

Although Gu An usually scolds him, gets angry at him, and seems impatient, he still cares about his subordinates when something really happens.

So he quickly ran over.

After his examination, he sent a distress signal to Jiang Ruan with hopeful eyes in Qingfeng's gaze.

"Uh!" Jiang Ruan walked over with an "I knew it" look on her face. She first put her hand on his back to check, and then her gaze settled on the green ring on his left middle finger.

"When did you put on this ring?" Jiang Ruan looked at Qingfeng with surprise as he carefully examined her, who was still rolling around but being held down by Gu An.

"Huh?" He reached out and looked at his hand, his expression turning deathly pale. Trembling, he tugged at his finger, trying to pull off the bright green ring.

But no matter what he did, it was all in vain.

Even Gu An and Jiang Ruan noticed something was wrong, but they couldn't do anything about it.

"It feels like this thing is growing onto your finger, like it's part of your skin, so you can't pull it off no matter what you do. But why are you so agitated? What's on your mind?"

While using healing magic to relieve his pain, Jiang Ruan asked, "This seems to be related to the green light that Gu An just shot over."

"Ah, I thought of my deceased mother. She had a ring like this on her finger when she died. But when she died, I put all her belongings in her coffin."

That doesn't make sense; there's another one that's exactly the same.

Qingfeng's expression was somewhat sorrowful, perhaps because he was thinking of his deceased mother and how helpless he had felt back then, and his heart ached.

His eyes welled up with tears, which streamed down his face like beads, and he burst into tears.

Tears streamed down her cheeks and landed on the ring, which began to loosen. But after turning a few times and displaying Qingfeng's name, it disappeared as if it were transparent.

"Huh, why doesn't it hurt anymore? Where did it go?" Qingfeng looked at his fingers up and down with a sob in his voice, finding it unbelievable.

But Jiang Ruan understood that the ring had recognized its owner and had concealed itself to form his personal space.

"Hey, do you know what happened to your ring?" Jiang Ruan interrupted his search and pulled him to sit down on the ground.

"Of course, it disappeared. What does that mean? All the emotions I just built up are wasted!" Qingfeng turned his head away somewhat awkwardly.

"If possible, try to think about something in your mind and feel it."

Jiang Ruan patiently persuaded her, and she felt that this might not necessarily be a bad thing.

"Ah, oh, boss, what do you think?" Qingfeng looked at the all-powerful boss, quite puzzled.

"Listen to her!" Gu An didn't say anything more; he had the same idea in his mind.

"Okay, I'll give it a try."

Then, Qingfeng tried it and opened his eyes two minutes later.

"I saw so many cages, like the kind of prisons where people are held. Why is that?" Qingfeng looked a little confused, not understanding the situation.
