Chapter 108 Towards the Far North Ruins

Su Yao and her family hurried back to the safe house with the data, not daring to slack off for a moment. The frigid wind cut like a knife across their faces, but at this moment they had only one belief in their hearts: to return to the safe house as soon as possible, study the data, and find a way to stop the apocalypse.

When they finally saw the outline of the safe house, Su Yao keenly sensed that something was amiss. The defensive devices around the safe house seemed to have been tampered with, and there were messy footprints on the once-peaceful snow. Her heart sank, and she signaled her family to stop while she quietly approached to investigate.

Upon arriving near the safe house, Su Yao discovered a group of strangers attempting to breach its security system. These individuals were dressed in uniform gray suits, well-equipped, and moved with apparent order. Judging from their gear and methods, they were not ordinary raiders.

Su Yao decided not to alert them. She used her spatial ability to silently circle around to the rear of the group. Then, she activated her wind blade ability, attacking them from behind. The wind blades flashed like lightning, instantly striking several enemies who fell to the ground screaming in pain.

The others reacted quickly, turning around and raising their weapons to fight back. A hail of bullets rained down on Su Yao. Using her spatial abilities, Su Yao constantly teleported to dodge, while simultaneously searching for the group's leader. She knew that subduing the leader would effectively thwart their attack.

During the battle, Su Yao discovered that the group's weapons were not firing ordinary ammunition, but rather energy blasts that could interfere with supernatural abilities. Once hit, the use of supernatural abilities would be hindered. She became even more cautious in dodging the attacks, while gradually approaching someone who appeared to be the commander.

The commander stood beside an armored vehicle, directing his men in battle. Su Yao seized the opportunity, gathering a powerful fusion ability, combining spatial, fire, and wind blade powers, and launched an attack on the commander. Sensing the danger, the commander tried to dodge, but it was too late; struck by Su Yao's attack, he collapsed to the ground.

Without their commander, the group began to panic. Taking advantage of this, Su Yao led her family in a counterattack, attacking the enemy from all directions. With the help of her family, they successfully repelled the strangers attempting to invade the safe house.

Upon entering the safe house, Su Yao immediately activated its highest-level defense system. Then, she began to carefully study the data she had brought back from the city ruins. The data mentioned several key locations that might be related to controlling the post-apocalyptic energy, one of which was an ancient ruin located in the far north.

Su Yao decided to travel to the far north in search of ruins, but she knew this journey would be far more arduous. The environment in the far north was much harsher, and the level of danger far exceeded anything they had experienced before. She began preparing supplies, upgrading her high-tech equipment, and even using the system to conduct in-depth training of her special abilities.

Before setting off, Su Yao installed more concealed protective and early warning devices around the safe house to ensure the safety of her family while she was away. With everything prepared, she embarked alone on her journey to the far north.

On her journey to the far north, Su Yao encountered an unprecedented frigid storm. The storm, like a ferocious beast, tried to devour her. Her special abilities were being depleted rapidly in this extreme environment, but she still gritted her teeth and persevered.

While traversing a glacier, Su Yao encountered a group of enormous yeti. These yeti were several meters tall, covered in long white fur, and possessed astonishing strength. They attacked Su Yao, each swing of their arms causing massive tremors on the ice.

Su Yao used her spatial abilities to dodge the yeti's attacks, while simultaneously unleashing her fire abilities to strike the yeti's vulnerable areas, such as its eyes and mouth. The yeti roared in anger after being burned by the flames, but instead of retreating, they attacked even more frantically.

Knowing she couldn't afford to linger with the Yetis, Su Yao used her spatial abilities to appear above the Yeti horde and unleashed a powerful spatial blade attack towards the center. The blade exploded within the Yeti, severely injuring several and causing them to collapse. The other Yetis, startled by the sudden attack, briefly ceased their assault.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Su Yao escaped the glacier and continued her journey towards the far north. As she got closer to the far north, Su Yao could feel the energy fluctuations around her growing stronger, as if a mysterious force was calling to her.

Finally, she saw the outline of the ancient ruins in the distance. Covered in snow and ice, the ruins exuded a mysterious and ancient aura. Su Yao knew that the key to stopping the apocalypse might be hidden within them, and with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation, she walked towards the ruins.
