Su Yao and Ling Yu rushed out of the bridge tower. As soon as they stepped onto the bridge, they saw huge cracks appearing on the once calm ice surface, spreading rapidly like a spider web. Accompanied by a deafening roar, a frost behemoth the size of a mountain burst out from beneath the ice.
The colossal beast was covered in translucent blue scales, each scale seemingly crafted from the purest ice, radiating a chilling aura. Its eyes resembled two enormous blue vortexes, as if capable of sucking in one's very soul. The beast opened its blood-red maw, revealing fangs as sharp as icicles, and its breath instantly froze into frost in the air.
Su Yao and Ling Yu were shocked. Before they could react, the giant beast's long tail swept towards them with overwhelming force. Su Yao used her spatial ability to teleport Ling Yu to a distance, but the powerful impact still made them feel a tremendous pressure. The surrounding vehicles were blown away by the force and crashed into the bridge railings.
"We need to find a way to attack its weaknesses; this head-on confrontation isn't going to work!" Su Yao shouted. Ling Yu nodded, concentrating his mind and trying to use his ice-type ability to probe the flow of energy on the giant beast, searching for possible weaknesses. When the giant beast launched another attack, they noticed that whenever it prepared to swing its claws or tail, the energy at its joints flashed even more intensely.
"Attack its joints!" Ling Yu shouted. Su Yao immediately activated her Wind Blade ability, and countless wind blades rained down on the giant beast's joints. The wind blades struck the giant beast's joints, and although they didn't cause any real damage, they did slow the beast's movements slightly.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ling Yu unleashed his ice-type ability, condensing the surrounding water vapor into a giant ice hammer, which he smashed towards the giant beast's leg joint. The ice hammer collided with the giant beast, producing a deafening sound. The giant beast's leg trembled slightly under the impact of the ice hammer, but remained as steady as Mount Tai.
Enraged, the behemoth roared and spewed forth a torrent of frosty air. Su Yao and Ling Yu scrambled to dodge, but everything in its path was instantly frozen. Some vehicles that couldn't avoid it were frozen solid, then shattered into dust under the behemoth's impact.
Looking at the frozen vehicle, Su Yao had an idea. She said to Ling Yu, "We can use these ice blocks to attack it!" Ling Yu understood. He used his ice-based abilities to control the huge ice blocks and smash them towards the behemoth. Su Yao then used her spatial abilities to change the trajectory of the ice blocks, making them more precise and aimed at the behemoth's vulnerable parts such as its joints and eyes.
Under the continuous onslaught of ice blocks, the giant beast was somewhat disheveled. One of its eyes was struck by an ice block, temporarily causing it to lose some of its vision. It frantically swung its claws, trying to grab Su Yao and Ling Yu.
Su Yao and Ling Yu skillfully dodged the giant beast's attacks while continuing to look for an opportunity. After one of the giant beast's attacks missed, Su Yao teleported onto the beast's back and then unleashed a fusion attack of her strongest spatial wind blade and fire power, targeting a part of the giant beast's back where energy was flashing brightly.
Sensing the attack on its back, the behemoth struggled violently, trying to throw Su Yao off. Seeing this, Ling Yu conjured another massive ice spike and shot it at the behemoth's legs, immobilizing it. With their combined efforts, Su Yao successfully tore a wound in the behemoth's back, black blood flowing from the wound and dripping onto the ice, instantly staining it black.
The behemoth, in pain, writhed even more frantically. Su Yao gripped the scales on its back tightly and continued her attack. Ling Yu, meanwhile, continuously created ice blocks and ice spikes around the behemoth to disrupt its movements, while simultaneously searching for an opportunity to deliver a fatal blow.
During the fierce battle, Su Yao discovered a core-like energy source at the wound on the giant beast's back. This energy source emitted a bright light whenever the beast mobilized its energy. She guessed that this might be the giant beast's vital point.
Su Yao concentrated all her supernatural abilities, preparing to launch a final attack on the energy source. She conveyed her thoughts to Ling Yu, who fully cooperated, using his ice-based abilities to create a relatively safe environment for Su Yao to attack.
Seizing the opportunity, Su Yao launched her strongest supernatural attack. A dazzling light flashed, and her attack accurately struck the energy source on the beast's back. The beast let out a shrill scream, its massive body began to tremble violently, and then it collapsed with a crash. Its body slammed onto the bridge, causing the bridge to shake.
Exhausted, Su Yao and Ling Yu left the giant beast's side. They knew that in this apocalyptic, frigid world, every battle was merely for survival and to acquire more supplies. Composing themselves, they continued searching for supplies on the bridge before heading towards their next target—a mountain fortress buried in ice and snow, where perhaps more of what they needed could be found.
