The world gradually recovered under the nourishment of the "Heart of the Cold Source" energy. However, before Su Yao and Ling Yu could fully enjoy the joy of victory, a new crisis quietly descended.
Su Yao's system suddenly issued an alarm, detecting an abnormal energy fluctuation surging at the edge of the world. This fluctuation was different from the previous extreme cold energy; it carried a chaotic aura, as if it would drag the world, which had just regained its vitality, back into darkness.

During the battle, Su Yao discovered that the scorpion monsters' weakness was their eyes. So, she used her spatial abilities to teleport sharp rocks to the monsters' eyes, successfully eliminating several.
After a fierce battle, they temporarily repelled the scorpion monster. However, the fluctuations of chaotic energy grew stronger, forming a huge vortex in the center of the desert.
“We need to go check out the center of the vortex,” Su Yao said. They cautiously approached the vortex, the closer they got, the greater the pressure they felt. As they neared the vortex, a powerful suction force came, trying to pull them in.
Ling Yu used his ice-based abilities to create a solid layer of ice beneath his feet, stabilizing his body. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to resist the suction while simultaneously observing the interior of the vortex. She discovered a black core within the vortex, covered in ancient and malevolent runes—the very source of chaotic energy.
“We need to destroy that core,” Su Yao said to Ling Yu. But getting close to the core was not easy; the surrounding energy vortex was like a meat grinder, crushing anything that got too close.
They began trying different methods. Ling Yu used his ice-based abilities to create a giant ice ball and threw it towards the vortex, attempting to disrupt the flow of energy. Su Yao, on the other hand, used her spatial abilities to find the weak point in the energy vortex.
After several attempts, they discovered that the energy at the top of the vortex was relatively weak. Therefore, Su Yao teleported to the top of the vortex with Ling Yu, and the two then launched a combined attack on the core. Ling Yu gathered all his ice energy into a giant ice sword and thrust it towards the core. Su Yao used spatial power to enhance the ice sword's power and ensured that they wouldn't be harmed by the vortex's energy during the attack.
The moment the ice sword pierced the core, it erupted with intense light. Chaotic energy began a frenzied counterattack, putting immense pressure on Su Yao and Ling Yu. But they did not retreat, and continued to intensify their attacks.
With their perseverance, cracks began to appear in the runes on the core, and the chaotic energy gradually weakened. As the last rune shattered, the core completely collapsed, and the chaotic energy dissipated. The world returned to peace. Su Yao and Ling Yu collapsed wearily into the desert, knowing that the road to protecting the world was still long.
