Su Yao and Ling Yu held their breath in the valley, the surroundings so quiet that only their breathing could be heard. The sounds of the mysterious man in black searching nearby grew closer, and Su Yao nervously looked at the resource list in her system space, trying to find a way out of their predicament.
Suddenly, Su Yao's gaze fell upon a pile of Illusionary Concealment Veils collected from the ancient market. These veils possessed a magical concealment effect; if used properly, they could allow them to completely shake off the black-robed mystery man's pursuit. She quickly took out the Illusionary Concealment Veils and covered the two of them, while simultaneously using her spatial abilities to alter the refraction of light around them, allowing them to blend perfectly into the valley environment.
The mysterious man in black robes arrived in the valley, his icy gaze sweeping over every corner like sharp arrows. Su Yao and Ling Yu dared not breathe. Just then, Ling Yu accidentally bumped into a pebble, making a soft sound. The mysterious man in black robes turned sharply and walked towards them.
Su Yao's heart tightened, and she quickly took out several puppet dolls from her system space. These dolls, which she had obtained in a mysterious workshop, possessed a certain degree of mobility. She threw the dolls in another direction of the valley, and they immediately started running after landing, making quite a commotion. The mysterious man in black robes was attracted by the dolls and turned to give chase.
"Hurry, while we can," Su Yao whispered to Ling Yu. They carefully left the valley and ran towards the distant forest. As they ran, Su Yao kept a close eye on the changes in the resources in her system space. She knew that more preparation was needed to completely defeat the mysterious man in black robes.
Upon entering the forest, they found a hidden cave. Su Yao set up some simple warning devices around the cave, made from collected magic bells and sensor wires. The bells would ring if any outsiders approached.
“We need to find a way to increase our strength and also find a way to destroy the crystal ball,” Su Yao said. She began searching through her system space and found some pills that could enhance her abilities and some special weapons. These pills were found in the ruins of an ancient alchemy furnace, while the weapons were obtained from a mysterious armory.
After taking the pill, Ling Yu felt his ice-type abilities become even more abundant. He picked up an ice sword radiating blue light, swung it once, and the surrounding air instantly froze. "This sword is quite good; it should be able to inflict even greater damage on the mysterious man in black robes," Ling Yu said.
Su Yao found a blueprint for a spatial magic circle. This magic circle could enhance her spatial abilities and also had some offensive and defensive capabilities. Following the instructions on the blueprint, she used the various gems and rare metals she had collected to set up the magic circle inside the cave.
While setting up the magic circle, Su Yao discovered that some materials were insufficient. Therefore, she and Ling Yu decided to search for them in the forest. They traversed the forest, using their special abilities to find the necessary supplies. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to detect underground minerals, while Ling Yu used his ice-based abilities to sense special materials containing water elements in the surrounding area.
After much effort, they found enough materials to complete the spatial magic array. Su Yao stood in the center of the array and activated it. A powerful spatial force surrounded her, greatly enhancing her spatial abilities.
“Now we have more confidence, but we still need to be careful of the mysterious man in black robes,” Su Yao said. Just then, the warning bell outside the cave suddenly rang. They immediately became alert, gripped their weapons, and prepared to meet any potential enemies.
