Chapter 249 Void Shadows

Su Yao gripped the radiation crystal cluster tightly with both hands, her supernatural power surging forth like a tidal wave as she fought a desperate battle against the violent energy within the cluster. With her unwavering persistence, the cluster's resistance gradually weakened, and wisps of energy began to slowly flow into her body through her arms.

However, just as Su Yao was about to fully control the crystal cluster, the surrounding space suddenly distorted violently, darkness spread like ink, and eerie whispers emanated from it. The system issued an urgent alarm: "Intrusion of Void Shadow Power detected, extremely high danger level!"

Su Yao's heart sank, knowing full well that this shadowy void was no ordinary threat. She quickly severed her connection with the radiation crystal cluster, turned to face the source of the darkness, and shouted for her teammates to gather together, preparing to face the unknown enemy.

In the shadowy void, pairs of eerie crimson eyes flickered in and out of sight. Then, ghostly shadowy creatures began to slowly emerge. Their forms were ethereal, yet they exuded a chilling aura, and wherever they passed, space seemed to be torn open with tiny fissures.

"What the hell is this thing?" a team member asked, his voice trembling.

"No matter what it is, we cannot back down!" Su Yao's eyes were firm as she reconstituted an ice blade in her hand, its blade gleaming with a cold light.

The shadow creatures launched an attack instantly, darting about like black lightning at incredible speed, leaving the team members barely time to react. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to create a spatial barrier around them, temporarily blocking the shadow creatures' first wave of attacks.

"Don't panic, everyone. These shadow creatures rely on darkness and spatial rifts to survive. We need to find their weaknesses," Su Yao said calmly, while activating the system's depth detection function.

With the system's help, Su Yao discovered that the core energy convergence point of the shadow creatures was located at the center of their illusory bodies, where there was a faint spatial fluctuation.

"Attack their cores with light-attribute attacks or powerful spatial shocks!" Su Yao gave the order.

The team members quickly adjusted their tactics. The fire elementalist compressed the flames to their limit, causing the temperature to rise sharply, with a faint white light and heat emanating from the flames; the earth elementalist manipulated the hard rocks, infusing them with spatial power, turning them into spatial projectiles with powerful impact; Su Yao fused ice blades with spatial abilities, creating an ice blade storm capable of tearing through space.

The battle erupted again, with storms of fire, rocks, and ice blades raining down on the shadow creatures. When the attacks struck their cores, they let out piercing screams, their bodies contorting and deforming. But the void shadows seemed endless; as one wave was repelled, more surged forth from the darkness.

Su Yao realized that things couldn't continue like this, so she decided to risk venturing deep into the Void Shadow to find its source and destroy it. She instructed her team to hold their ground, and then stepped into the darkness alone.

Within the shadowy void, Su Yao felt as if she were in an endless abyss, darkness and cold constantly eroding her mind and body. But with her powerful willpower and supernatural abilities, she pressed forward step by step. Finally, she discovered a massive dark vortex, from which the surrounding shadowy creatures were constantly being born.

Su Yao took a deep breath, channeling all her supernatural abilities, combining the power of the crystal cluster, her spatial abilities, and her own icy power to form a powerful torrent of energy. She thrust her hands forward, shouting, "Shadowbreaker, Source Destroyer!"

A torrent of energy surged towards the dark vortex, triggering a violent explosion. The dark vortex trembled violently in the explosion and gradually began to collapse. The Void Shadow Creatures, deprived of their source of support, became chaotic and disordered. The team seized the opportunity to launch a full-scale attack, completely annihilating the remaining Shadow Creatures.

Su Yao emerged from the shadowy void, exhausted but with a determined look in her eyes. She knew that countless dangers awaited them in this apocalyptic world of extreme heat, but as long as they united and continued to explore and grow, they would surely be able to protect their safe house and their loved ones.
