Chapter 306 Exploring Relics and Preserving Civilization

Back at the base, Su Yao didn't rush to fuse with the seven-colored crystal core. Instead, guided by the system, she discovered coordinates that might conceal the ruins of an ancient civilization. She knew that in this apocalyptic world dominated by zombies and mutated creatures, perhaps only by exploring more secrets from ancient civilizations could she find a way to completely restore life to the world.

"Mom and Dad, this time we're going to explore some ruins. There might be something crucial hidden there," Su Yao said to her parents. Her parents nodded; they had complete faith in Su Yao's judgment.

A family of three boarded a flying vehicle and arrived at a desolate desert according to the coordinates. A fierce wind howled, and yellow sand swirled in the air. In the heart of the desert, a massive pyramid-shaped ruin loomed in the distance. The ruin emitted a faint light, seemingly recounting its past glory.

Upon entering the ruins, they encountered numerous traps and obstacles. Spikes on the ground, energy beams shooting from the walls, and mechanical puppets hidden in the shadows all caused them considerable trouble. Thanks to the system's early warning function, Su Yao repeatedly led her parents away from deadly dangers. Her mental abilities also came into play, temporarily controlling some of the mechanical puppets and clearing a path for them.

As they ventured deeper into the ruins, they discovered ancient murals. These murals depicted a once prosperous world, where humanity and nature coexisted harmoniously, and technology and civilization were highly advanced. But then, the scene shifted dramatically: a massive meteorite struck the Earth, bringing disaster and destruction; zombies and mutated creatures began to appear, and civilization gradually collapsed.

"So the root of all this was a natural disaster," Su Yao murmured to herself. Continuing on, they arrived at a vast hall. In the center of the hall stood a massive energy crystal, surrounded by various complex instruments and equipment.

Just then, a group of intelligent robots guarding the ruins awoke. These robots were advanced in design and possessed powerful weapon systems, launching a fierce attack. Su Yao quickly activated her Ice Domain, unleashing a rain of ice shards at the robots. Her father activated his Power Domain, charging forward to engage the robots in close combat, each punch sending parts flying. From the rear, her mother used her Life Rewind Domain to heal her father and disrupt the robots' energy supply.

After a fierce battle, they finally destroyed all the robots. Su Yao walked to the energy crystal, and the system prompted her that she could absorb the crystal's energy to enhance her abilities or activate other devices in the ruins. Su Yao decided to absorb some of the energy first. She found that this energy was purer and gentler than the crystal core, and it fused with her abilities much more smoothly.

After absorbing energy, Su Yao's superpowers were enhanced. Her control over ice-type superpowers became more refined, and she could create various ice forms, such as ice birds and ice pythons, greatly increasing her attack power and agility.

While exploring other areas of the ruins, they discovered a database. The database contained a vast amount of technological data and information on the transmission of civilizations, including knowledge on energy development, bio-engineering, and space technology. Su Yao realized that this data was crucial for rebuilding the world.

She used the system to copy and save all the information from the database to her own space. "With this, we have hope of rebuilding human civilization," Su Yao said excitedly.

However, just as they were preparing to leave the ruins, the ruins' defense system suddenly activated, trapping them in layers of energy barriers. A massive projection appeared before them, displaying that this was the ruins' final test. If they could crack the core code of the ruins within the allotted time, they would obtain the ruins' ultimate treasure; otherwise, they would be trapped here forever.

Su Yao calmed down and began using the system to analyze the patterns in the passwords, while also combining this with information she had found in the database to deduce the truth. Her parents stood guard beside her, watching out for any potential dangers.

In the tense countdown, Su Yao finally cracked the code. The energy barrier of the ruins disappeared, and they entered the core chamber. Inside the chamber was a box radiating golden light.

Su Yao opened the box, inside which was a seed radiating a sacred light. The system notification read: "This is the Seed of Life, capable of taking root and sprouting in any harsh environment, releasing purifying energy, transforming the environment, and restoring ecological balance."

Su Yao carefully stored the Seed of Life into her spatial storage. "We must find a suitable place to plant it as soon as possible," she said.

Carrying the Seed of Life and hope for the future, they left the ruins and flew towards the most polluted area in the world, the area with the highest concentration of zombies and mutated creatures. They knew that this would be where the Seed of Life would play its greatest role, and the key battlefield for the rebirth of human civilization.
