After bidding farewell to Ling Feng, Su Yao felt the biting wind of the apocalyptic world cut across her face like a knife. She tightened her clothes and continued towards the safe house indicated by the system. With each step, the snow crunched under her feet, as if the icy landscape itself was telling the story of the cruelty of the apocalypse.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Su Yao arrived at a small town completely covered in snow. Most of the houses had collapsed under the weight of the snow, and the few remaining ones were on the verge of collapse. The system prompted her that a warehouse in this town might contain valuable warm clothing and energy supplements, which would be crucial for her journey ahead.
Su Yao cautiously navigated the town, her supernatural senses constantly activated. However, in this deathly silent environment, she had a feeling of being watched. Suddenly, a rustling sound came from her left. She whirled around and saw a huge snow wolf leap out of a snowdrift. This snow wolf was more than twice the size of an ordinary wolf, its snow-white fur standing on end like steel needles, its eyes gleaming with a cold, eerie blue light. It opened its blood-red maw, revealing sharp fangs, and pounced on Su Yao.
Su Yao swiftly unleashed her wind-based power, creating a rapidly spinning barrier of wind blades in front of her. The snow wolf pounced on the wind blades, sustaining several cuts, but it seemed unfazed by the pain, retreating slightly before launching another attack. Su Yao immediately switched to her ice-based power, creating several massive ice spikes around the snow wolf in an attempt to trap it. However, the snow wolf was agile, easily dodging the ice spikes and continuing to close in on her.
Just as the snow wolf was about to pounce on Su Yao, she activated her spatial ability, teleporting behind the wolf. Then, she used her fire-based ability to unleash a ball of flame at the wolf. The flames burned the snow wolf's fur, causing it to howl in pain and roll around on the snow, trying to extinguish the flames. Taking advantage of the situation, Su Yao used her wind-based ability to fan the flames even brighter, and the snow wolf gradually became still amidst the fire.
After defeating the snow wolves, Su Yao followed the system prompts and arrived at the warehouse. The warehouse door was blocked by thick ice and snow. She used her spatial abilities to move the ice and snow, then pushed the door open forcefully. The warehouse was dimly lit, filled with an old, musty smell. She turned on the lights and began searching for supplies.
In a corner of the warehouse, Su Yao found a batch of high-quality thermal underwear and snow boots, as well as several boxes of energy supplements. Excitedly, she stored these supplies in her spatial storage. She also discovered some strange mechanical parts; although she didn't know their purpose, she kept them all.
Just as she was about to leave the warehouse, the system suddenly sounded an alarm, indicating that a large number of unidentified creatures were approaching. Su Yao hurriedly went to the warehouse door to check and saw a group of humanoid creatures covered in ice crystals walking towards the warehouse. These ice crystal beings moved stiffly, but each step left deep footprints in the snow, and their bodies emanated a bone-chilling cold.
Su Yao took a deep breath, preparing for battle. She first used her wind-based ability to create a gust of wind, knocking down the approaching ice crystal figures. But the ice crystal figures quickly stood up again and continued towards the warehouse. Su Yao switched to an attack method combining fire and lightning abilities, attacking the ice crystal figures. Flames and lightning exploded on the ice crystal figures, shattering some, but more ice crystal figures continued to surge forward.
Su Yao realized this couldn't continue, so she began observing the ice crystal beings' patterns of movement. She discovered that their actions were directed by one of the larger ice crystal beings, whose ice crystals were a deeper color than the others and emitted a stronger chill. Su Yao decided to concentrate her forces on attacking this leader.
Using her spatial abilities, she quickly moved to the vicinity of the Ice Crystal leader, then concentrated all her power and launched her strongest attack. This attack was incredibly powerful; cracks began to appear on the leader's body, and the other Ice Crystals seemed to lose control, their movements becoming chaotic. Su Yao seized the opportunity and continued attacking the remaining Ice Crystals. After a fierce battle, she finally annihilated them all.
Su Yao leaned wearily against the warehouse door. After a short rest, she set off again for the safe house. In this frigid apocalypse, every battle and resource gathering brought her one step closer to safety, but she also knew that more dangers awaited her ahead. She had to remain vigilant and continuously improve her abilities to survive in this cruel world.
