Carrying a full load of supplies and the newly discovered mysterious crystal bottle, Su Yao hurried towards the safe house. Along the way, she kept a close watch on her surroundings. Although the ice storm had subsided, the dangers of the apocalypse could strike unexpectedly.
As she walked, Su Yao heard a low buzzing sound. She stopped warily and looked up, only to see several black flying objects in the sky. These objects were disc-shaped, their edges shimmering with a purplish-red light, and they were flying towards her. The system issued an alert: "High-level danger detected. Unidentified flying machinery with powerful attack capabilities."
Su Yao quickly looked around for a place to hide. Not far away was a partially collapsed overpass, and she used her spatial abilities to run towards it. Just as she took cover behind a huge concrete pillar, the flying objects were already overhead. These objects began firing beams of purplish-red energy at the ground; the surrounding ice and snow melted and then quickly froze again under the attack of the energy beams, forming sharp ice spikes.
Su Yao knew she couldn't stay hidden here indefinitely; she had to find a way to get rid of these flying objects. She took out some smoke grenades she had collected earlier from her spatial storage and threw them towards the other side of the overpass. The smoke grenades exploded, producing a large amount of thick smoke. The flying objects seemed to be distracted by the smoke and began firing energy beams in the direction of the smoke.
Taking advantage of the situation, Su Yao used her spatial abilities to escape the overpass. However, the flying objects quickly spotted her, changed direction, and continued their pursuit. As Su Yao ran, she considered her options. She realized that although these flying objects were very fast, they were not very agile in turning.
She ran towards an ice field covered with huge ice blocks, using them as cover as she weaved between them. The flying objects chasing her often crashed into the ice blocks because they couldn't turn in time. But these objects had very hard shells, and the impacts didn't cause them much damage.
During her run, Su Yao spotted a massive ice cave in the center of the icy plain. A plan formed in her mind, and she ran towards it. As she approached, the flying object caught up. Without hesitation, Su Yao jumped into the ice cave, simultaneously using her spatial abilities to create illusions at the cave's entrance, making the flying object believe she was still running forward.
The ice cave was bitterly cold, its walls covered with strange ice crystals. Su Yao slid down the ice cave, and after sliding for a distance, she landed at the bottom. There was an underground ice lake there, its surface covered with thick ice, and beneath the ice, some blurry shadows seemed to be moving.
Su Yao walked cautiously across the frozen lake when suddenly, a shadow beneath the ice rushed towards her. A gigantic ice dragon burst forth from the ice, its body as large as a small mountain, covered in translucent scales, its eyes like two blue lanterns. The ice dragon opened its blood-red maw and lunged at Su Yao.
Su Yao used her spatial ability to teleport behind the ice dragon and unleashed her fire ability to attack its tail. The ice dragon, in pain, lashed out with its tail, sending Su Yao flying and crashing heavily against the ice cave wall. She felt as if her body was about to fall apart, but she knew she couldn't give up.
She took out some paralyzing potions from her spatial storage and threw them at the ice dragon's eyes when it attacked again. Upon contact with the potions, the ice dragon let out a painful roar, and its movements became sluggish.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Su Yao launched her strongest attack, fusing her mysterious power, wind blade ability, and fire ability together, aiming for the ice dragon's head. After a fierce battle, the ice dragon was finally defeated, its massive body sinking to the bottom of the icy lake.
Panting heavily, Su Yao began searching for an exit within the ice cave. On one side of the cave, she discovered a narrow passage. She followed the passage, the temperature gradually increasing. At the end of the passage, she found a cave filled with supplies.
The cave contained many precious resources, including special metals, gems that could enhance supernatural abilities, and plant seeds that could remain viable even in extremely cold environments. Su Yao was overjoyed and stored all these resources into her spatial storage.
After leaving the cave, Su Yao finally shook off the pursuit of the flying objects. She continued towards the safe house. This experience made her understand even more that in this post-apocalyptic world, every adventure is accompanied by both opportunities and dangers, and what she had to do was to obtain more survival supplies for her family.
When she returned to the safe house, her parents were relieved to see her safe and sound. Su Yao showed her family what she had found, and the family sat together to plan how to better utilize these new supplies to enhance their survival capabilities in the apocalypse.
