Chapter 70 Su Yao Battles the Ice Valley

Su Yao hurried towards the safe house, her mind filled with information about the mysterious source of power, her sense of mission growing stronger with each step. Despite the lingering fatigue from the battle, her steps were firm and powerful.

Finally, the safe house came into view. As soon as Su Yao stepped inside, everyone surrounded her, their eyes filled with worry and concern. Su Yao recounted her harrowing experience on the icy plains in detail. When she mentioned the mysterious source of power, everyone's expressions became complex, a mixture of hope and fear of the unknown dangers.

After a short rest at the safe house, Su Yao began preparing to head to the heart of the extreme cold apocalypse to find the source of power. She selected some necessary supplies, checked and upgraded her equipment, and studied the information brought back from the ruins with everyone, trying to find more clues about the source of power.

After some preparation, Su Yao set off again. This journey was even more arduous; the closer she got to the center of the apocalypse, the harsher the environment became. Gale-force winds howled, carrying sharp, knife-like ice shards that constantly battered Su Yao's supernatural shield. The ground also became rugged and uneven, riddled with huge ice cracks and towering ice spikes.

While traversing a forest of ice spikes, Su Yao encountered new enemies. These enemies were ice elemental spirits corrupted by the power of extreme cold. They were small in size but agile, able to move freely among the ice spikes. They manipulated the ice spikes, launching an attack on Su Yao, the spikes raining down on her.

Su Yao used her spatial abilities to teleport and dodge the ice spikes. At the same time, she used her fire abilities to create a ring of fire around herself, attempting to prevent the ice elemental spirits from getting closer. However, these spirits were very clever; they scattered and attacked Su Yao from different directions.

Su Yao remained calm and observed that the ice elemental spirits would pause briefly after attacking to condense ice spikes. Seizing the opportunity, she activated her wind-elemental ability the instant they paused, creating a powerful airflow that dispersed some of the spirits. Then, she attacked the approaching spirits with her enhanced weapon, each attack striking their core and causing them to dissipate.

After a fierce battle, Su Yao successfully traversed the Ice Spike Forest. Continuing onward, she arrived at a vast ice valley. Thick white fog permeated the valley, severely reducing visibility. A system notification indicated that the source of the mysterious power lay deep within the ice valley, but the valley was fraught with unknown dangers.

Su Yao cautiously stepped into the ice valley. Suddenly, the ice beneath her feet began to shimmer with an eerie light. Before she could react, beams of icy blue light shot out from beneath the ice, forming a massive energy cage that trapped Su Yao inside.

Su Yao attempted to break free of the cage using her supernatural abilities, but each attack was deflected by the light beams. She began to carefully observe the trajectory of the light beams and discovered that they were interwoven according to a certain pattern. She calmed herself down, recalling knowledge from ancient texts, searching for a way to break the cage.

After some thought, Su Yao discovered that the interweaving pattern of these rays resembled an ancient ice sealing technique. Following the method recorded in the ancient text, she mobilized her inner power and condensed a rune in her hand with energy opposite to that of the rays. Then, she threw the rune towards the point where the rays converged.

As the runes came into contact with the light, the energy cage began to fluctuate. Su Yao seized the opportunity and unleashed her full power to attack the cage's weak point. Through her efforts, the energy cage was finally broken.

Su Yao continued deeper into the icy valley, where enormous ice sculptures appeared amidst the white mist. These ice sculptures were of various shapes and sizes, ranging from ferocious beasts to majestic giants. As Su Yao approached, the ice sculptures suddenly came to life and attacked her.

Su Yao engaged in a fierce battle with the ice sculptures. She discovered that these ice sculptures possessed immense power and seemed to continuously draw energy from the environment of the Ice Valley. While fighting, Su Yao searched for the ice sculptures' weaknesses. During the battle, she noticed energy fluctuations appearing at the joints of the ice sculptures as they moved.

Seizing the opportunity, Su Yao concentrated her power on attacking the joints of the ice sculptures. After a fierce battle, she successfully shattered several ice sculptures. But more ice sculptures surrounded her, and Su Yao found herself in a difficult situation. Just when she was starting to feel overwhelmed, she remembered the formation she had used when fighting the octopus mother on the ice plains.

Su Yao inscribed array runes on the ground of the Ice Valley, then infused them with her supernatural power. The array activated, emitting a powerful light that greatly interfered with the ice sculptures. Su Yao seized the opportunity to launch an attack, shattering the ice sculptures one by one.

Having eliminated the threat of the ice sculptures, Su Yao finally saw the mysterious source of power deep within the Ice Valley. It was a giant crystal lotus, from which flowed dazzling light, containing boundless energy. But around the crystal lotus, a powerful energy shield protected it.

Su Yao knew this was the final challenge. She took a deep breath, walked towards the crystal lotus, and prepared to break through the shield, obtain the mysterious source of power, and bring hope to this world.
