With the initial operation of the climate control device, the temperature around the safe house dropped slightly, giving everyone a brief respite. A spatial blade appeared in Su Yao's hand, and she engaged the phantom beasts in battle. She transformed the spatial blade into countless tiny spatial fragments, which she then launched towards the phantom beast. The spatial fragments, like sharp throwing knives, sliced the phantom beast to pieces.
After defeating the Phantom Beast, Su Yao finally found her imprisoned father. He was trapped in a spatial cage, his eyes filled with confusion.
"Dad, I'm here to save you," Su Yao said.
She used her spatial abilities to try and break free of the spatial cage. However, the cage was extremely sturdy, and Su Yao's attacks had little effect. Just as Su Yao was starting to feel overwhelmed, her system prompted her that she could use the resonance of spatial power to break the cage.
Su Yao calmed herself down, sensing the fluctuations of the surrounding spatial energy, and then adjusted her spatial abilities to match the frequency of the cage. With a flash of light, the spatial cage was finally broken.
"Su Yao, what exactly happened?" her father asked after regaining consciousness.
"This is a trap, we have to get out of here quickly," Su Yao said.
Just as they were about to leave the illusion space, the space-type ability user who created it appeared. He was a tall man with an arrogant look in his eyes.
"Want to leave? Not so easy. You've trespassed on my territory, so you'll have to pay the price," said the space-type ability user.
"Why did you create such a trap?" Su Yao asked.
"In this apocalyptic world of extreme heat, only the strong can survive. I need to gather enough resources and manpower to build my kingdom, and you are my prey," the space-type ability user sneered.
“What you’re doing is wrong. In the apocalypse, we should cooperate with each other, not kill each other,” Su Yao said.
"Hmph, cooperation? That's the behavior of the weak," the space-type ability user said disdainfully.
“Since you’re so stubborn, then we have no choice but to fight,” Su Yao said.
Su Yao and her father stood back to back, preparing for their battle against the space-type ability user. They knew it would be a tough fight, but they wouldn't back down, because they wanted to leave this phantom space alive and return to the safe house to reunite with the others.
