Su Yao carefully studied the decoded data on the computer, her expression growing increasingly grave. The data revealed that this apocalyptic disaster was actually caused by a man-made experiment that went out of control. Leading them was a man dressed in black robes with sinister eyes, surrounded by eerie black energy.
"Hand over the information, and you'll be spared physical punishment," the man in black robes said menacingly. Su Yao glared at him angrily, "You won't get this information; it's the key to saving the world." The man in black robes sneered, "Hmph, you think you can save the world? Don't be naive."
With that, the man in black robes launched his attack, black energy tentacles erupting from his hands and sweeping towards Su Yao and the others. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to teleport her family to the other side of the basement. The black energy tentacles struck the wall, instantly blasting a large hole in it.
Su Yao activated her fire ability and attacked the man in black robes. The flames sizzled upon contact with the black energy, the two energies canceling each other out. However, the man in black robes seemed to have an inexhaustible source of energy; he intensified his attack, and more black energy tentacles surged towards Su Yao and the others.
Su Yao realized she couldn't fight head-on. She surveyed the basement and noticed some precariously hanging pipes on the ceiling. Using her spatial blade ability, she severed the pipes' supports. The pipes collapsed, crashing down on the black-robed man and his men. This sudden turn of events caused them to halt their attack and scramble to dodge.
Taking advantage of the situation, Su Yao led her family towards another exit in the basement. However, the man in black robes quickly escaped and continued the chase. During their escape, they came to a room filled with various experimental chambers. Inside the chambers were some strange creatures, seemingly the product of an experiment going awry. Sensing their intrusion, they began frantically ramming the chambers.
Su Yao knew this place was fraught with danger, but she had no choice but to risk it. Just as they passed a large experimental chamber, the creature inside suddenly burst through the door and pounced on them. It was a cheetah, but a mutated creature covered in sharp spikes and spitting green venom from its mouth.
Su Yao swiftly activated her Wind Blade ability, dispersing the venom, and then attacked the mutated creature's legs with her Spatial Blade. Her family members also joined the fight, battling the creature. During the battle, Su Yao discovered the mutated creature's weakness was its eyes; attacking the eyes would inflict severe damage.
She seized the opportunity, gathered her fusion power, and attacked the mutated creature's eyes. The creature roared in pain upon being struck, rolled a few times on the ground, and then lay still.
Having dealt with the mutated creatures, they continued towards the exit. However, the man in black robes and his men caught up, and a fierce battle ensued near the exit. While fighting the man in black robes, Su Yao told her family to leave first.
During the battle, Su Yao discovered that the black-robed man's energy originated from a crystal at his waist. She concentrated her mind, unleashing the strongest combination of her spatial and fire abilities, attacking the man's waist. The black crystal cracked under the attack, and the man's energy weakened accordingly.
Su Yao pressed her advantage and launched an attack. The man in black robes began to panic; he tried to escape, but Su Yao wouldn't give him the chance. Finally, under Su Yao's full-force attack, the black crystal shattered, and the man in black robes, having lost his energy, collapsed to the ground.
Without lingering, Su Yao quickly left the basement and reunited with her family. They carried the valuable data and headed towards the safe house. On the way back, Su Yao kept thinking about how to use this data to prevent the apocalypse from worsening and to save the world from disaster.
They still need to find more clues and like-minded people to fight this apocalyptic crisis together. This experience has also strengthened Su Yao's belief that no matter how many difficulties and obstacles lie ahead, she will fight for hope.
