"Because the captain was bitten first, none of us noticed. We only noticed when he mutated and bit another person. But by then it was too late. They mutated very quickly. Before we could run, they were already biting several people." It turned out that their captain didn't follow Shangguan Wan's instructions to kill the zombie first and then extract the crystal core. Instead, he directly chopped the zombie on the head with a knife. When he tried to extract the crystal core, the zombie subconsciously opened its mouth and bit him right in the tiger's mouth.
