Chapter 295: The Traitor

"Boss, this whole thing started the day you left. The first few days were fine. Commander Wen didn't make any unusual moves. Even the people who were watching him said he only met with a few regular people each day and then stayed in the villa. Since we couldn't get too close, we didn't know exactly what they said inside. Two days later, I decided to go take a look around and noticed a lot more people had gathered around the building, completely blocking it off. I secretly observed for several days and realized that some of our members who had gone in hadn't come out. Also, starting that day, Commander Wen implemented extensive personnel checks at the base. Some of our members who had been scattered around were gathered together that same day because they knew each other back at the base. Because I had been in the army for a shorter time than them, I wasn't recognized. I don't know exactly where they were taken because I was assigned a mission that day. I didn't want to expose myself, so I gave up. When I returned, I found the building sealed off, and the number of members I'd found in various locations had decreased significantly. I guess they've been captured." Number 115 lowered his head in front of Han Lie, seriously recalling the situation. {Note: Because there are so many Red Eagle members, we won't name them individually. They will all be referred to by numbers. I won't explain this later.}

"It's been so long since this happened, why hasn't anyone come to tell us about this?" Han Lie stared at No. 115 with his deep eyes. What he said might not be the whole truth of the matter yet. What is happening now is like a layer of fog, making it difficult to see the surface.

"Boss, we sent out some people, but they haven't come back yet. When this incident happened, we sent people out immediately, but they haven't come back yet." No. 115 looked up at Han Lie respectfully.

Han Lie thought about it and understood. They had been walking randomly this time, and there was more than one road here, so it was understandable that they couldn't find him.

I just don't understand why Commander Wen dared to take such a big risk to do this at this time. Is he trying to hide something or what does he want to do?

"Where's Fang Yuan?" Shangguan Wanfeng's eyes flickered with doubt. She couldn't make a definitive conclusion just yet. She hadn't been there at this time in her previous life, so she didn't know exactly what had happened.

We can't act rashly now just because of his explanation.

"I didn't see him." No. 115 answered in confusion. What he didn't know was that Shangguan Wan and the others had installed eavesdropping devices in front of Commander Wen. Although it might not be all of them, it could still be analyzed a little.

Shangguan Wan looked at No. 115 meaningfully, and a barely perceptible smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

I'm afraid things aren't that simple. I didn't see Fang Yuan or Red Wolf in Commander Wen's basement. Logically, they would have been attacked by Flame Tiger and Red Wolf if they entered the building. So why didn't I find any signs of an attack? The only possibility was that there was a traitor among them.

Shangguan Wan glanced at Han Lie, and their eyes met. A strange flash of light flashed in Shangguan Wan's eyes, and Han Lie immediately understood. He said to No. 115 calmly, "I understand this matter. We still need to make arrangements. You should go back first, so as not to arouse suspicion."

No. 115 suddenly looked up at Han Lie. He didn't quite understand what Han Lie meant, but he still responded and went down. He thought about it all the way but still didn't understand what Han Lie meant. Didn't he want to rescue them when this happened? Why was he so calm?

Han Lie looked at No. 115's back with a hint of coldness in his eyes.

Shangguan Wan leaned against the table, her phoenix eyes watching Han Lie and the others. Each of their faces wore the look of exhaustion, but her eyes still looked calm, and the air seemed to be still and quiet.

"Tell me what you think." Shangguan Wan asked coldly.

There was a seriousness that had never appeared on her delicate little face.

"Xiao Wanwan, you said they were all arrested?" Cang Ying asked anxiously, because he was really worried about the pregnant woman.

"Um"

"Then why are we still here? Go and save people. He was the one who started it first, so don't blame us for rebelling." Goshawk slammed the table angrily and stood up as if he was going to take revenge.

"Go," Shangguan Wan said lightly, but she had no intention of going at all.

“…”Are you going?

"I didn't see Fang Yuan." Shangguan Wan said lightly. Not seeing Fang Yuan meant that this person was somewhere else. Then where was he and what was he doing, and why was he hiding?

"And the Flame Tiger has escaped, so what about the Red Wolf? I don't believe my pet is so useless." Shangguan Wan looked at them while speaking, and the confidence in her eyes made them trust her unconsciously.
