Chapter 471: Mutated Scorpion

"Group two, with the car as the center, advance southward. Group three will advance northward. Group four will advance eastward. Group five will advance westward. Just pay attention to see if there are any zombies on the other side of the base. Clean them up." They were a group and were nearby.

"Yes" is uniform.

Then, each group began to advance in their own direction, with the psychics walking in front and behind, and several members of the gun team standing in the middle. They followed the Red Eagles out, partly to take a look around, but also to look for other things. Anyway, everything was unattended, so if there were any antiques they liked, they wanted to come out and look at them. By the way, they collected their own hobbies.

Shangguan Wan had known about this situation from the beginning, but she hadn't intervened. It was his business if he had the ability. So, she ignored the gold necklace or something else the man had taken from the gold shop. Anyway, no one cared about it now, so who would care about these things?

"Wanwan, come and take a look." Han Lie removed the flat tire and replaced it with the spare tire at the back. He looked at the flat tire and wondered if he could fix it. After all, no one knew what had punctured the tire and caused it to be deflated. If the Hummer had a flat tire, they would have no car to drive the road and could only move forward with difficulty.

Thinking of this, he squatted down and pried the tire with a crowbar.

"Get out of the way!" Dongfang Shuo pushed Han Lie away, who was exerting his strength, and pushed Han Lie to the ground. Dongfang Shuo's eyes narrowed, and he stepped forward to pull Han Lieji back a few steps.

Han Lie was initially a bit annoyed. After all, he'd been training for years, and being pushed down by him like that was a disgrace to his military dignity. Especially since he'd even led Shangguan Wan backwards by the collar, a move Shangguan Wan often did. He'd never imagined it was a family tradition, leading people from behind. But hearing that tense tone, he reacted quickly, pushing himself up with both hands and leaping away from where he'd been squatting.

Then, a black scorpion emerged from the tire treads. It resembled a pipa, its entire body covered in a hard, highly chitinous crust. Its body was distinctly segmented, consisting of a cephalothorax and abdomen. It was completely black, with the ventral surface and appendages being lighter in color, while the fifth segment of the posterior abdomen was darker. The stinger on its tail, in particular, shone with a faint glint, a tiny drop of water etched on it. Its cephalothorax, comprised of six trapezoidal segments, had a dorsal carapace covered in dense, granular protrusions. The scorpion, which had crawled from the tire, was the size of a palm. It had eight legs on either side of its body, claws the size of a crayfish on either side of its head, and a pair of smaller claws on its flat head. Its mouth had four petals. When hunting, the scorpion first used its stinger to choke the prey. Then, it used its two large claws to grasp the food, crushing it with two smaller ones, holding it in place before consuming it. This prevented the prey from escaping.

"Back off, get away from the car. It's a scorpion, a black scorpion, the most poisonous kind. It looks like they have mutated and been infected." Han Lie saw the scorpion crawling out. Although it looked like a scorpion, the scorpion's movements proved Han Lie's statement, because scorpions move very quickly and it is impossible for them to be so slow. Being so slow can only mean that they are infected. However, Han Lie also thought of the most important thing, that is, scorpions are social creatures. If there is one, there are many. So the flat tire of the Hummer is probably related to this little guy. Imagine that even the car did not crush it to death, which means that its body has mutated and has a very hard shell. So he should keep a distance from it.

"Our tires are probably related to it. It's mutated, which means its sting is tough and durable. We can't kill it by stepping on it, and we'll probably get stung in return." Han Lie followed their analysis, observing the scorpion, which was moving at the speed of a snail. Its swaying tail was erected straight up, its barbs pointing skyward. This was a posture used for attacking people; the scorpion only raised its tail when attacking, ready to strike.

I thought about where I first noticed the problem with the car. It was possible it had been punctured shortly after leaving the base. After all, it takes time for a leak to develop, and by the time I noticed it, it was too late. This meant the scorpions were targeting the base.

"Oh no, we have to find the hiding place of these scorpions as soon as possible, otherwise no one in the base will be safe. These creatures are the best at climbing walls, and we still don't know where the scorpions are hiding. What should we do?" Han Lie looked in the direction of the base worriedly. Now they could not go far away, and could only turn back to deal with the scorpion problem first.
