Chapter 500: Discovering that the Scorpion is Afraid of Him

Shangguan Wan was attacked by zombies from all sides. Although the zombies had moved away from Shangguan Wan, their supernatural powers were still constantly attacking her. Han Lie raised his hand and used his gray lightning power to hit a wood zombie in front of him directly on the head. Then he pulled out the Nepalese machete from his waist with his right hand, and the handle rotated in his palm. The 30-centimeter-long machete was as flexible as a small dagger.

Han Lie looked at Shangguan Wan, who was surrounded by colorful lights and shadows. There was only a slender figure standing proudly among them, and her hands were busy using black lightning and crystal ice and snow abilities. Han Lie had no time to appreciate the beautiful scenery reflected by the colorful lights and shadows. He was only worried about the figure standing on the high wall.

The powerful arm chopped the zombie's head in front of him fiercely, and the head shattered instantly. Black sticky blood scattered everywhere. The blood was not active and did not spray. It was like a pool of dead meat chopped up with a knife.

Han Lie kicked the zombie in front of him away. The stiff corpse was kicked out with great force. The headless corpse flew out with the force and hit another zombie. Because of the great force, the zombies behind were all hit by the flying corpse. With a few thuds, several of them fell down, giving Han Lie a chance to move forward.

With an upright posture and straight legs, he took big strides and walked towards Shangguan Wan who was not far away from him. Although the distance seemed not far, it made it difficult for him to walk. The space left by the zombie who had just fallen was replaced by the zombies rushing up from behind. The moment he raised his foot and put it down, the space was filled, and the number of people was twice as many as before.

A storm suddenly arose in Han Lie's narrow and deep dark eyes, and his clenched jaw showed that Han Lie was angry.

A drop of sweat dripped down his handsome face, running down his face. The cool touch brought a slight calm to Han Lie's anxious heart. The hot weather didn't make the mountain feel any cooler. The lack of trees made the heat even more oppressive. Furthermore, the zombies were everywhere, making the stench of decaying corpses even stronger. A buzzing sound also filled the air, surrounding them. Han Lie took the opportunity to look at his team members surrounded by zombies.

Each one was fighting ten against ten, even their own eyes suddenly flashing with blood and screaming in pain. A Red Eagle member, exhausted, was suddenly scratched across the chest by a zombie's long, black nails, leaving a wet mark on his camouflage chest. He knew it wasn't sweat, but the entire chest was stained with fresh blood. Han Lie quickly fired a black shadow and landed on the zombie that was about to pounce on the injured member. The zombie was instantly hit in the head, like a ball, breaking free from its body's trajectory and rolling on the ground, rolling past the feet of countless zombies towards the downhill slope. All that was left in its wake was a black, sticky substance.

He also watched helplessly as that member shook his head helplessly when he saw that he had been scratched, and then he pulled out the grenade on his body when he was about to lose himself. Seeing that his brothers still fought back, a miserable smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. He screamed, "You bastards, come here, come to grandpa," turned around and pushed away the zombies in front of him. He ran less than four or five meters before being crushed by a group of zombies.

With a loud boom, a black mushroom cloud swept up his shredded flesh, carrying the remains of more than a dozen zombies with it. In the black and red flesh, there was no trace of his intact body.

Han Lie's heart ached. He was a brave soldier, and they were all ready to sacrifice themselves in this war. Han Lie closed his eyes, hiding the pain in his eyes, and turned back to continue fighting the zombies in front of him.

He was even more worried about the figure standing on the high wall. They were soldiers, warriors, ready to sacrifice their lives for their people and their country. But she was just a woman, a mother, someone who shouldn't be joining this battle, yet she was fighting for him. Han Lie knew that Shangguan Wan could have just stayed in her own space, ignoring the world, but she was sweating profusely because of him. Han Lie looked at Shangguan Wan with heartache, quickly dealing with the zombies in front of him, and getting closer to her.

When Han Lie looked at Shangguan Wan, Shangguan Wan seemed to have a premonition and looked at Han Lie immediately, giving him a soothing smile. Han Lie looked at that smile, but his heart was not comforted much. Instead, he was more worried about her. He even didn't care that the zombies beside him were about to approach him. There was only Shangguan Wan in his eyes, and he wanted to protect her. This thought made him rush forward like crazy without caring about his life.

When Shangguan Wan saw that the zombies were about to catch Han Lie, she got anxious, moved her toes, and jumped up from the wall with her light body. Using her spiritual power, Shangguan Wan stepped on the zombies' heads and quickly ran to Han Lie's side. When the zombies were about to catch Han Lie, Shangguan Wan dropped the lightning in her hand from Han Lie's back to his back. It was like a laser that shot directly at the zombie's head, with the sound of lightning, and fell with a click. The zombies in front of Shangguan Wan lay in a row. Shangguan Wan was worried that Han Lie would use his superpowers to the extreme. It was at this time that Shangguan Wan discovered that his superpowers were all changed according to his imagination.

I just used my mental power to control my ability, and imagined shooting it straight out like a laser gun, but I didn't expect it to be successful.

"Han Lie, your superpower can change shape according to your imagination and can be controlled with mental power. You can try it." Shangguan Wan said without turning back, but got closer to Han Lie's back.

Han Lie tried thoughtfully, but found that it didn't work. He couldn't change it at all.

"Wanwan, no, I can do it," Han Lie said in a somewhat discouraged voice.

Shangguan Wan thought about it and understood that this was only possible when she reached her level.

"Well, be careful." Shangguan Wan replied to Han Lie but did not explain the reason. This was not the time for her to explain, so she once again joined the battle.

Shangguan Wan unconsciously glanced at the scorpion's location. After observing its movements, she suddenly had an idea. Was the scorpion, who had always refused to fight directly with her, afraid of her? His movements were no different from those of an ordinary person, except for a slight stiffness. Even the conversation just now was so clear, indicating that he was a special existence. Perhaps he held a great secret. A thought flashed through her mind.

Shangguan Wanfeng's eyes flashed with cunning. She leaned her head back slightly and said to Han Lie, "Scorpion seems to be very afraid of me. We didn't notice it just now, but now it's obvious that he doesn't want to face me directly. This means that there is something in me that he fears."

As he spoke, Han Lie turned his head and looked at Scorpion. It was obvious that the direction in which Scorpion's zombies were moving was directly opposite Shangguan Wan.

The clever and wise Han Lie immediately thought of the fact that Shangguan Wan was carrying the spiritual spring. So, is this spiritual spring the thing that the scorpion is afraid of? If he wants to know the behavior of the scorpion clearly, he can only understand it by catching the scorpion.

"Wanwan, while I'm distracting the scorpion, try pouring the spiritual spring water on him."

"did you mean...."

"I think he's afraid of your spiritual spring. We should capture him and interrogate him. He has many secrets, and he's more valuable alive than dead."

"Okay, then we'll catch him. But be careful. Judging from his appearance, the poison he's carrying might be a mutated virus. We must be extremely careful."

"good"

The two men's whispering did not attract Scorpion's attention. He was now moving his position back in the crowded pile of zombies.
