Chapter 123: What a bad temper

"Are you Lin Qingqing?" At this time, an old man stared at her with a kind smile on his face and asked.

Lin Qingqing glanced at him, and considering his age, she answered honestly, "Yes, I am Lin Qingqing."

"Let me ask you, where did you get this pill?" He spread his hands open, revealing a pill.

For Lin Qingqing, this pill was not unfamiliar at all, because it came from her hand.

What she didn't know was how it ended up here.

"Why do you all like to ask me this kind of question? I think I told them that these pills were made by myself." She explained again with a helpless look on her face.

Is it so hard for them to believe that she made this pill?

"Don't lie to us. Although we are old men, we are not so easily fooled. Tell me honestly, where did you get this pill from? Where is the person who gave you the pill?" The old man suddenly became serious and asked loudly.

When Lin Qingqing heard his loud tone, she felt a surge of stubbornness in her heart. "It's louder than that, isn't it? She thought he was an old man, so she wouldn't dare to do anything to them, the old men, right?"

Then they underestimated her, Lin Qingqing.

"Let's go back." After glaring at the four old men, she immediately turned around, took Xiao Wen's hand and strode out.

The four old men sitting upstairs were stunned when they saw them walk out. Finally, the old man who spoke earlier shouted to the white-clad guards outside, "Don't let them go, stop them."

When he shouted, the guards in white outside immediately stopped the couple at the door.

Looking at the white-clad guards who stopped her, Lin Qingqing glared at the four old men sitting inside, "What on earth do you four want? Since you don't believe in my ability, why did you keep me here?"

None of the four old men had expected that this seemingly young girl would have an even worse temper than theirs.

Suddenly, embarrassed expressions appeared on the four old faces.

The four old men looked at each other, and then the old man who had just spoken immediately received complaining glances from three of his companions.

"You caused this, so please solve it yourself."

"Yes, big brother, you made the little girl leave because of you, you should coax her back."

"Brother, please sacrifice yourself."

The Great Elder looked at his three younger brothers in disbelief, his white beard rising in anger. "You, you three, I, I just did this for the good of our manor. Did I do anything wrong?"

After he asked, not only did his three younger brothers not answer him, they also avoided his gaze and refused to look at him. He was so angry that he almost vomited blood.

After glaring at the three blame-shifting brothers, the eldest elder walked down with a red face. He came up to the young couple and said in a rare, gentle tone, "I was too harsh just now. How could you, a little girl, be so stingy? You turned around and left without a single word of rebuttal. How come your temper is even worse than mine?"

Lin Qingqing glanced at him and snorted softly, "You already doubt my ability, why should I stay here for you to doubt me? I'm not that stupid."

The Great Elder became anxious upon hearing this and quickly waved his hands to explain, "I didn't doubt your ability. You misunderstood. I was just asking, and I didn't doubt you."

"Really?" Lin Qingqing came closer to him and confirmed with him again and again.

"No, how dare I doubt you? Your temper is even worse than mine, how dare I?" The elder muttered.

Lin Qingqing raised the corners of her mouth, and suddenly straightened her chest, saying with a magnanimous look, "Okay, since you apologize so sincerely, I will forgive you this time."

"I'm not apologizing, I'm just explaining to you." The Great Elder immediately added before she finished speaking.

Looking at his old face that was so concerned about his reputation, Lin Qingqing couldn't help but curl the corners of her mouth.

In fact, apart from being a bit harsh with his mouth, this old man is actually a very cute old man.

The Great Elder looked at her with a defeated expression and asked, "Can you please go back now? We have something else to ask you."

Lin Qingqing looked at the other three people inside, pursed her lips, and made an suggestion to him, "I can go back with you, but you can't doubt me again, otherwise, I will really leave."

Seeing this, the elder's face was filled with anger but he dared not speak. Finally, he had to compromise and said, "Okay, I promise you."

Looking at the deflated look on the old man's face, Lin Qingqing suppressed the smile that was about to break out of the corners of her mouth, and took Xiao Wen's hand and walked back inside.

When the three old men saw them coming back, they all breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

The Great Elder sat back in his chair and coughed lightly before speaking, "Um..." He paused and then continued, "Comrade Lin, you said you made this pill. We believe you did, but can you tell us who taught you how to make it?"

Hearing this question, Lin Qingqing secretly touched her nose. It seemed that she was going to lie again.

"He was a hermit, but he disappeared after teaching me. I haven't seen him since then, so if you ask me where he is, I can't tell you." She answered all the questions he might ask in one breath.

Otherwise, she will reveal more and more loopholes the more she speaks.

When the four old men heard what she said, expressions of disappointment appeared on their faces.

Seeing their disappointment, Lin Qingqing could only look at them with apology in her heart.

Although it was not her ability to lie to them, she had no choice but to do so.

If she told them that she already knew how to do it, it would be difficult for her to get through this hurdle.

At this moment, all her attention was on the four old men, and she did not notice that Xiao Wen, who was standing next to her, had a darkened look in his eyes after hearing her words.

At this moment, another old man excitedly pointed at the little white snake on her hand and asked, "What is that on your hand?"

Lin Qingqing followed the direction he pointed and saw the little white snake that had been hibernating recently. She couldn't help but mutter in her heart that these four old men were very old, but their eyes were as powerful as those of young people.

"Oh, this is a little white snake I adopted. It's a little cold now, so it's coiled around my wrist and hibernating. But don't worry, it won't bite."

"This little white snake with a completely white body, why does it look familiar to me?" another old man said.
