Weiwei didn't call again because the call didn't go through. There was no way to contact her on the other end. She thought she would go there right away and ignored him.
Lu Mufan got up early in the morning and prepared to take his wife to visit his grandparents. Lu Jianguo thought that it was almost holiday time and there wasn't much to do, so he drove them there.
