Gu Lei has been looking forward to the start of school ever since his holiday. For him, the start of school not only means the beginning of a new semester, but more importantly, it means that his best friend Xue Kai will be with him.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was five days before the start of school. This was the day Xue Kai and Gu Lei had agreed to come see him. Gu Lei was so excited he couldn't sleep all night. He couldn't wait to get up early in the morning and tidy up his room. Then, he hurriedly washed and dressed, ready to head to the train station to greet Xue Kai.
In the early morning, sunlight streamed through the window into the room. Xue Kai excitedly jumped out of bed. He couldn't wait to open his suitcase and carefully check that every item was neatly arranged. He had been looking forward to this special day for a long time.
It was still early, but Xue Kai had no desire to sleep. He was filled with longing and anticipation for his future university life, and he couldn't wait to embark on his journey to Beijing. Finally, as the sun rose, he walked out of the house, backpack on his back, and headed for the train station.
The platform was bustling with people, all rushing about. Xue Kai clutched his ticket tightly, secretly thanking himself for having made preparations in advance. As the train slowly pulled into the platform, he found his seat and sat down, feeling incredibly excited.
The train sped away, and the scenery outside the window unfolded like a series of beautiful paintings. Xue Kai gazed into the distance, and his mind kept surfacing the beautiful images of university life: spacious and bright classrooms, a well-stocked library, lively club activities... and of course, the joy of reuniting with friends.
Before he knew it, the train arrived in Beijing. Xue Kai stepped out of the train, feeling the freshness of this unfamiliar city. He took a deep breath and walked forward with a firm step, welcoming a new chapter of his life.
Along the way, Gu Lei was in an exceptionally cheerful mood. He imagined the scene after the two of them met, his heart filled with anticipation and joy. Finally, when he arrived at the train station, he saw Xue Kai walking towards him in the crowd. Gu Lei waved excitedly, his face filled with a bright smile.
"Long time no see!" Gu Lei walked up to Xue Kai and gave him a big hug.
"Yes, I finally see you again!" Xue Kai said with a happy smile.
The two chatted as they walked out of the train station. They seemed to have endless things to say, sharing each other's interesting stories and experiences during the holiday. Gu Lei felt that with Xue Kai by his side, everything became more interesting and beautiful.
After Gu Lei picked up Xue Kai, the two walked towards Gu's house together. Along the way, they talked and laughed, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.
After arriving home, Gu Lei warmly invited Xue Kai into the house and introduced him to the other family members. Everyone was very happy to see Xue Kai and expressed their welcome.
Soon, a sumptuous dinner was served. Looking at the table full of delicious dishes, Xue Kai couldn't help but feel a warm current in his heart. These delicious dishes not only represented the Gu family's hospitality towards him, but also reflected their attention and care for him.
During the meal, everyone laughed and talked. The Gu family shared interesting stories with Xue Kai, making him feel the warmth and joy of family. Xue Kai also participated actively and spoke freely with everyone.

Every time they went to a place, Gu Lei would introduce the local characteristics and customs to Xue Kai in detail, allowing him to have a deeper understanding of the city. Xue Kai also listened with great interest, and from time to time raised some interesting questions, engaging in lively discussions with Gu Lei.
Finally, Gu Lei took Xue Kai on a tour of his own school. The tree-lined campus, beautiful and filled with a strong academic atmosphere, was a delightful spectacle. They strolled along the tree-lined path, admiring the beautiful interplay of ancient architecture and modern facilities. Gu Lei proudly recounted to Xue Kai his experiences studying and living there, as well as the friendships he formed with his classmates.
This wonderful time not only allowed Xue Kai to experience the unique charm of Beijing, but also strengthened his relationship with Gu Lei. The two communicated with each other and shared happiness during their trip, forging a deeper friendship.
The day Xue Kai reported for school was sunny and windy, but unfortunately Gu Lei had already started a new semester. He was unhappy because he couldn't send Xue Kai to school, but Gu Lei knew what was more important, and as a friend, Xue Kai understood him.
Xue Kai dragged his heavy suitcase alone and walked slowly towards the school. They had originally thought of asking Gu Lang to accompany him.
After all, as someone who has been through it, Gu Lang must be very familiar with everything in the school and can provide a lot of help and guidance to Xue Kai, who has just arrived.
Yet, deep down, Xue Kai harbored an inexplicable stubbornness that refused to rely on others. Thus, Xue Kai resolutely chose to move forward on his own.
With a heart full of hope and a bit of nervousness, Xue Kai embarked on this brand new journey of his. He believed that no matter what difficulties and setbacks he encountered in the future, he would be able to bravely overcome them and become a better version of himself.
