Chapter 79 Lu Wanwan asks her sister-in-law to make clothes

Lu Wanwan has been particularly motivated these days, drawing pictures every day. She feels that she can lead her family to prosperity and a well-off life, and she has an unprecedented sense of accomplishment.

Moreover, Lu Wanwan really doesn't want to go out now. She feels that the new educated youth looks at her strangely. At first she thought she was seeing things, but later she found that she was staring at her belly. She always has a bad feeling. No matter who it is and what kind of intentions they have, it is better to avoid encountering them and deal with them slowly after the baby is born.

Lu Wanwan concentrated on painting, and in just a few days she had finished drawing four pictures of women's clothes, two dresses, one set of casual wear, and the remaining set was for Gu Feng's mother. There were also three pictures of men's clothes, for Gu Feng, his elder brother, and his father. Gu Lei and Gu Jingrui's were still being thought about, as they were of different ages and wore different clothes.

Two days later, Lu Wanwan had finished all the drawings. She quietly took out several pieces of cloth from the space, ready to move them to her sister-in-law's room when Gu Feng came back, so that her sister-in-law could follow the drawings and start sewing. She also wanted to buy a sewing machine for her sister-in-law, so that it would be faster.

Seeing Gu Feng coming back, Lu Wanwan shouted happily, "Gu Feng, Gu Feng, come over and help me?"

Gu Feng rushed back, thinking something had happened to Lu Wanwan. "What's wrong? What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"I'm fine. Come and help me move these to my sister-in-law's room. I've drawn the cloth and asked my sister-in-law to help me with it."

Seeing Lu Wanwan moving things, Gu Feng anxiously shouted, "Stand there and don't move. I'll get you anything you need."

Lu Wanwan just realized that she had scared Gu Feng by moving things. "Gu Feng, I'm fine, don't worry."

Seeing their younger brothers and sisters coming over with several pieces of cloth, Gu Zheng and Zhang Xiaohua were stunned. Why are there so many pieces of cloth? They looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

Gu Feng said bluntly, "Brother, there are still a few in the house, can you help me get them?"

Gu Zheng said "oh" stupidly and went to get it. He saw that there were still four pieces of cloth there. Were the two of them going to buy cloth in bulk?

"Sister-in-law, look at these drawings. These two are skirts. Make three of each. You and I will each wear one. This is a casual suit. Also, make three of each. These two are for mom and dad. Make two for mom and dad and uncle and aunt. This one is for big brother. Make it as you see fit. Make two for Gu Feng and cousin. These two are for Gu Lei and Jingrui. Make them as you see fit. I don't know if the cloth is enough. If not, tell me."

"That's enough, that's enough."

"Sister-in-law, take a look first. If you don't understand something, I'll tell you in person."

Zhang Xiaohua took a look and said, "No need for your introduction, I can understand it. It's just that the quantity is a bit large. It will probably take more than 20 days to finish it."

"Sister-in-law, don't rush to make it. You can cut it first. I will get you a sewing machine tomorrow. You can do it after I buy it."

Lu Wanwan marveled at her sister-in-law's ability. She was able to make so many things in just over 20 days, basically one set every two days. She was really impressed by her sister-in-law. Her hands were so fast.

"It's a waste to buy a sewing machine for just a few sets of clothes. There's no need to buy one."

“Don’t waste, don’t waste. Maybe I’ll make more in the future.”

"Wanwan, do you want to make a lot of clothes? Leave it to me, I will definitely make them for you."

"Sister-in-law, I think this way. We will each make one piece of clothing and wear it for publicity. If someone asks us to make clothes, we can also make them for them, but it will cost money. This way we can still make money."

"Well, Wanwan, your idea is good. Don't worry, I will do my best to make clothes for everyone."

Lu Wanwan originally wanted to split it 50-50, but was afraid that her sister-in-law would disagree. "I'll provide the fabric and drawings, and she'll do the handicraft. How about we split it 40-60?"

"Wanwan, you're really at a loss. Everything belongs to you. I just did some handicrafts. How can you take so much?"

"Sister-in-law, you're wrong. Without your skills, my drawings and fabrics would be useless. We are both very important. I've already taken the lion's share. So let it be."

Gu Feng also advised, "Sister-in-law, please leave it as it is. We think the distribution is reasonable."

"Wife, just listen to Wanwan."

After Lu Wanwan and Gu Feng returned to the house, Zhang Xiaohua couldn't help but ask Gu Zheng, "Wanwan was clearly at a disadvantage in this matter, so why did you agree to it? It's as if we were bullying Wanwan."

Gu Zheng had no choice but to explain slowly, "My sister-in-law may not know these things, but my second brother must know them clearly. If my second brother doesn't say anything, I won't say anything. Since my second brother has said it, they must have discussed it beforehand. They are helping us."

"Why would my sister-in-law help us?"

"My second brother wants to take his wife to live in Beijing, but his wife wants to take all of us with her. If we don't have a job to earn money, how are we going to live there? The living conditions and education there are good. For Jingrui, we have to work hard and strive to go to Beijing with them."

"I understand. I didn't think so much before. Now that this is the case, I will do my best and must have a skill to take Jingrui with me to Beijing City."

"I have to work hard too, otherwise what if you look down on me when you make a lot of money in the future?"

"Nonsense, I didn't know anything before and you didn't look down on me, so how could I look down on you? It's just that my sister-in-law has helped us so much, I don't know how to thank her enough."

"We're all family and it's only natural for us to help each other. There's a long way to go, and there will always be times when our brothers and sisters need us. What we need to do now is not to fall behind and try our best to keep up with their pace."

When Lu Wanwan returned to the house, she discussed with Gu Feng that she wanted to go home. Her cousin had promised to bring Xiaoxiao home after the New Year, but Gu Feng never mentioned taking her home. Her due date was around the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, so she definitely couldn't go back after the New Year. She could only go home before the New Year.
