Chapter 9 Entering the City

"Isn't it time yet? If you don't want to wait, you can leave by yourself. I didn't ask you to wait."

Fan Yao was so embarrassed that she kept silent. Seeing that everyone had arrived, the group started to walk back. It was already past five o'clock when they arrived at the village. Gu Feng helped Lu Wanwan deliver the things home and turned around to leave.

Before he even walked out of the door, he was stopped by the caller, "Brother Gu Feng, wait a minute." "Is there anything else?" Gu Feng asked blankly.

Lu Wanwan quietly took out a set of men's clothes from the space: casual pants and a plain T-shirt. "This is for you. Go take it back and try it on."

Gu Feng's face flushed red. No girl had ever bought him clothes before. Aren't these things only bought by wives? How could he accept this? No, if someone said they bought it for you, it would change the meaning. He hesitated for a long time and said, "Well, I have clothes."

"But I bought it, what should I do if you don't want it?"

Come to think of it, Gu Feng grabbed his clothes and ran home in one breath. As soon as he entered the door, his aunt said, "There are wolves chasing you. Why are you running? What did you buy for Wanwan?"

"I didn't realize that Lu Wanwan paid for the purchase herself," Gu Feng said with his head down.

"Then you didn't treat Wanwan to lunch at noon," Gu Feng said weakly. "Wanwan was a little quicker than me at eating, and it was Lu Wanwan who paid for it. We were too far away to react."

Seeing what Gu Feng was holding, it was obviously men's clothing. "Don't tell me, this was also bought for you by Wanwan. It seems you just went to pick up something and asked someone to buy you a set of clothes." Gu Feng lowered his head. "There is some distance between us. I was a step slower when buying things. People have already paid. I don't know when Lu Zhiqing bought the clothes." Although what Gu Feng said was true, it made Gu's mother helpless. She had to discuss it with his father in the evening and teach him how to pursue girls. There is no such thing as getting something for nothing.

That night, my aunt told Gu's father about this. Gu's father was speechless after hearing it. He was obviously very good at coaxing his wife, and the eldest son was not bad either, so why did the second son go astray? He would find time to teach Gu Feng a lesson. However, it was a bit embarrassing for a father to discuss chasing girls with his son. Why not leave it to the eldest son? Well, that's the decision.

Gu Feng didn't know yet that the whole family couldn't sleep because they were worried about who asked him to pursue a wife. He felt really embarrassed, even though he was already an adult.
