Chapter 89 Dr. Cai in the Glass Jar
Yao Tao and Wen Jiming found the hospital's experimental area.
There was a small window at the door, similar to a security check window. Wen Jiming's team ran over and looked inside the window. "Captain, there's no one inside."
Yao Tao also looked inside when she passed by the window.
It was a mess inside, with things on the table scattered all over the floor.
There were faint traces of dried liquid on the chair next to it.
Yao Tao frowned slightly.
The glass door of the experimental area was not locked. Although there was an electronic lock keypad on the side of the door, it slid open as soon as it was pushed.
Everyone went inside.
"Is anyone there?"
"Dr. Cai, we're from resettlement site 002. Are you there?"
Everyone called out softly.
The laboratory is very clean and all kinds of experimental equipment are neatly arranged.
Everyone looked around but didn't see anyone.
"Could Dr. Cai have gone out for something urgent?" a team member speculated.
"Where can he go? It's much more dangerous outside than in here." Another team member shook his head.
"Dr. Cai can't be the only one in the experimental area, right? Why don't we see anyone else?"
While the team members were discussing, Yao Tao came to a laboratory table, squatted down and looked at something.
"What are you doing?" Wen Jiming walked over.
He looked over Yao Tao's shoulder and saw two drops of dried dark red liquid on the ground.
Yao Tao picked up a tool from the lab bench, scraped off a drop of the dark red liquid with it, and put it in front of her nose to smell it.
"It's blood."
She looked at Wen Jiming.
Wen Jiming also had a serious expression at this time.
For some reason, he had a bad feeling.
Everyone searched everywhere again.
This time they checked very carefully, even places like the cabinets were not spared.
"If we can find any usable medicine, we will take it back." Yao Tao instructed everyone.
The team members kept rummaging through the drawers, and Wen Jiming also joined in the collection.
Yao Tao walked slowly along the side of the laboratory table alone.
On a nearby shelf were huge glass jars containing various specimens soaked in liquid.
Suddenly Yao Tao stopped in front of a huge glass jar.
"I found it..." she murmured, "Dr. Cai is here."
"What? You found Dr. Cai?"
"Where?"
Everyone came running over.
Yao Tao pointed to the huge glass jar in front of her.
The jar was more than a person's height, and the liquid inside was turbid, making it difficult to see what was soaked in it.
After being reminded by Yao Tao, everyone moved closer and noticed that the object floating in the jar vaguely resembled a human figure.
Yao Tao pushed the jar.
The liquid in the jar began to flow slowly due to the vibration.
The objects immersed in it also rotate...
Suddenly a human face appeared in front of everyone, scaring everyone so much that they all stepped back.
"Oh my god, I was scared to death."
"There's a person... soaking in here."
"How do you know this person is Dr. Cai?" Wen Jiming asked.
"Look at him... there's a badge there." Yao Tao pointed at the person in the glass jar.
Wen Jiming took out a flashlight and shone it into the jar.
The person soaking in the jar was wearing a white coat with a name tag hanging on his upper left pocket, which had his number and name written on it.
"It's Dr. Cai." Wen Jiming sighed.
The other five team members were worried, "...what will happen to our mission if he dies?"
"Yeah, where can we find medicine?"
"Let's look for it more carefully. Maybe the medicine is somewhere here. We can go back after getting the medicine." Yao Tao encouraged everyone.
So everyone dispersed again and started a carpet search.
Yao Tao did not follow everyone to look for medicine. She came to the innermost iron gate of the experimental area, which had an electronic lock on it.
But the electronic lock was broken at this time, and the iron door opened with a slight pull.
There is another iron gate inside the door.
Looking inside through the gate, there was a long corridor with wards on both sides, which looked very much like the inpatient department of a hospital.
