Chapter 9: Is it reliable?

Are you surprised already? There are more surprises to come.

When they returned to the pigpen, Boss Song was washing the pigs. He was stunned to see his sister coming back with so much grass for the pigs.

"Little sister, these are enough for one day. You are so fast." He said with a naive smile.

Song Chu said as a matter of course: "That's right, don't you see who I am?"

She has so much strength and skills, but it takes her a whole day to cut grass for the pigs. That's too cowardly.

"..." The corners of Boss Song's mouth twitched. It was indeed his younger sister's style.

"I'll wash the pig and chop it up and cook it." He thought of his mother's advice before going out in the morning, that he must not let his sister get tired.

Song Chu smiled indifferently: "No, I'll chop it, and you can cook it later."

Then she found a kitchen knife and started chopping pig grass. She was strong and fast.

Looking at this scene, Boss Song suddenly felt like his sister had grown up.

Song Chu was chopping grass for pigs when Tang Min walked in with his hands behind his back.

Seeing Song Chu working, a smile appeared on his serious face.

He had just heard from his wife that his niece had already cut the pig grass for the day. He was a little bit unconvinced, so he came to take a look now that he had some free time.

Unexpectedly, there was a pile of pig grass on the ground, and my niece was chopping it diligently.

"Uncle, is there something wrong?" Song Chu looked up and asked with a smile.

Boss Song also stopped what he was doing and asked, "Uncle, why are you here?"

"Well, I just came to take a look." Tang Min saw Boss Song washing the pig and asked in confusion, "Why did you go to wash the pig?"

"My sister said that we should clean the pigsty and the pigs so that they won't get sick easily." Boss Song replied truthfully.

This was the first time Tang Min had heard of this. He looked at Song Chu and asked, "Did you read this in a book?"

He had thought she was using it as an excuse.

"Yes, uncle, don't worry, I promise to let my elder brother raise these pigs to be plump and white."

Song Chu paused and said, "Once the breeding is successful, my uncle can have people catch more piglets and raise them back. We can set up a pig farm."

She had observed yesterday and today that the village was relatively poor and backward, and her family was relatively advantaged. Many people were still eating coarse food, and some even could not get enough to eat.

The original body had a bigger wish, which was to completely change the image in everyone's mind, so that people would no longer criticize it when it was mentioned, but would praise it instead.

The principle that the tallest tree catches the most wind is always true. She wanted to completely change the situation at home, but she was too unique in the village. Most of the villagers were good people, but it was normal for them to feel jealous. Her family might be watched or isolated.

It is still 1975, and it is not yet an era to encourage some people to become rich.

Therefore, she thought it would be better to develop with the whole village, so that their family would not appear too prominent. Reputation is often a sharp weapon if used properly.

Of course, coming to this era of poverty and backwardness, she also wanted to work hard to change the status quo. Now there is no reform and opening up, and starting from the village is the foundation.

Tang Min didn't take this seriously. It's not that easy to run a pig farm. But in order not to dampen his niece's enthusiasm, he smiled and encouraged her: "That's a good feeling. Chuchu, work hard. If you can raise pigs well, it won't be a problem to open a pig farm."

"Uncle is still the best." Song Chu could tell what he meant. Anyway, she would go to him when she achieved the desired effect.

Tang Min was pleased to see his niece suddenly become well-behaved and diligent, and then he walked away with his hands behind his back.

At noon, after Song Chu returned home and had lunch, he took a basket to bring lunch to Gu Yue.

When she arrived at the educated youth site, the educated youth were still eating. When they saw her coming, they all took their bowls and went back to their rooms.

Song Chu didn't care about these people's attitudes. He walked to Gu Yue's door and knocked.

"Come in." His clear voice came.

Song Chu then pushed the door open and saw him half-sitting on the bed reading a book.

"Here it comes." Gu Yue put down the book.

Song Chu took out the food from the basket. Today's lunch was simple, with just two vegetarian dishes and not much oil. She didn't enjoy it very much.

Gu Yue didn't care. He picked up the bowl and started eating. His slowness and handsome face made him look elegant and pleasing to the eye while eating.

Song Chu secretly sighed and thought, no wonder the original body was so obsessed with this guy. Many girls in the village and the female educated youth who came here secretly liked him. He was a male beauty who brought disaster.

After finishing the meal, Gu Yue put the bowl and chopsticks in the basket and said, "I'm sorry to bother you recently."

"It's okay. I've already taken your money and ticket." Song Chu shrugged.

Gu Yue looked at her and asked meaningfully, "Did you go to work in the pig house today?"

"You're well-informed about the news since you don't go out." Song Chu raised his eyebrows.

Gu Yue smiled and said, "I heard it from the people in the Youth League Center."

While they were cooking, they were discussing how Song Chu was acting very abnormally today, and were betting on how many days she could be diligent. He happened to hear it all.

"Are you going to the pig house to raise pigs?" he asked again.

Song Chu replied generously: "Yes, I will do your work for the next few days, and when you get better, I will focus on raising pigs."

"Why did you want to raise pigs?" Gu Yue asked with some curiosity.

Is she still not giving up on him? Is she trying to change her tactics to harass him? But looking at her clear eyes, it doesn't seem like that.

"I want to build a pig farm in the village later." She looked at him with a half-smile, "Besides, you work in the pig pen, so how can I get the other half of the laboratory back if I don't get in touch with you more?"

Doesn't this guy think that she still cares about him?

Gu Yue listened to her frankly and suppressed his suspicion. "You want to open a pig farm? Is it reliable?"

"It's not easy to run a pig farm. Not only is it difficult to implement in the village, but there are also too many pigs and if one gets sick it could cause infection."

"Besides, the grass on the mountain is not enough to feed the pigs, and there is not enough food for every household. It is impossible to feed the pigs." He thought for a moment and added.

In addition to the team's pig house, some villagers also raise pigs at home. There is enough grass for the pigs on the mountain, but it is definitely not possible to open a pig farm.

Besides, pigs don’t grow very fat if they mainly eat pig grass, so it’s not suitable in the long run.

Song Chu chuckled and said, "I have considered what you said. There are books and materials on scientific pig farming in the library of my laboratory. You can use them."

"I will find a way to solve the problem of pig feed before I can propose opening a pig farm." She already has some general ideas, and all she needs to do is implement them bit by bit.

"I don't know whether other people are reliable or not, but if I do it, it will definitely be reliable." She still has this confidence.

Looking at Song Chu, who exuded confidence, Gu Yue was stunned for a moment, then laughed and said, "It's good that you know what's going on."

"Then you take a rest. I'll go back first. I have to go to work in the afternoon." Song Chu stood up and picked up the basket.

"Okay." Gu Yue nodded.

This is the first time I write about this kind of subject matter. I was so stuck while writing that I finished this chapter this morning. I will continue with another chapter at 15:00~ (End of this chapter)
