Chapter 15: The Limits of Humanity: Sixth-Level Magician: Dean Cliff (2/2)

"Dean?"

Ryan said to Cliff, who was sitting in a rocking chair in front of the gate of the Magician's Tower.

The only person who could be so lazy in such a solemn place as the Magician's Tower was Dean Cliff.

"Ah, Ryan, you're here."

Cliff stood up from his rocking chair and handed Ryan a piece of paper with a gold border.

"Here, this is your scheduled class schedule. Unless there are any unexpected events, this will be your schedule for this semester."

Ryan took it and looked at it. It was similar to his previous class schedule in college.

But there are classes only in the morning every day, and the afternoon is still free time.

Seeing that the person teaching him today was Dean Cliff on the schedule, Ryan raised his eyebrows.

After putting away the schedule, he said to Cliff.

"So, is the dean personally teaching me today?"

Dean Cliff is the highest-ranking magician in the academy and even in the entire empire, a Class 1 magician, the same level as his father Ford.

In Ryan's knowledge, the dean is a magician with four talents: space, water, wood, and healing, among which space magic is the most proficient.

"Yes, what you said during the duel yesterday: to restore magic to its peak. It really touched my heart and reminded me of my disciple."

"So, I also thought about taking in another disciple."

There was a hint of thought in the dean's eyes.

Ryan was a little confused. The dean's disciple? He had never heard of the dean having a disciple in these years.

"Dean, do you have a disciple?"

The dean nodded.

"Yes, I accepted a disciple when I was young, but... he died in a power struggle."

"Oh, my condolences, Dean."

The dean smiled and waved his hand: "It happened many years ago, and I was not working in the empire at the time, so you don't know either."

Ryan, who understood the situation, nodded: "So what does the dean want to teach me today?"

In response to Ryan's question, the dean smiled, waved his hand, and the magic circle took shape immediately.

He instantly arrived at the top floor of the magician's tower, which was the dean's laboratory.

The laboratory was very simple, without all kinds of complicated magical instruments, but only thick books.

"Haha, how about my space magic? Do you want to learn it?"

The dean's tone revealed a strong sense of pride.

"Besides, you're lucky. You have the magic secret of instant casting. If you can control teleportation, as long as you don't have a treasure that can seal space, it will be difficult for you to die."

After saying this, the dean looked at the messy appearance of the laboratory and used magic to return the books stacked on the ground to their original shelves one by one.

Hearing the words "space magic", Ryan's eyes showed strong interest.

In this Dharma-Ending Age, all kinds of magic books are already rare, and space magic, as a rare type of magic, is even rarer.

Even in ancient books, the price of space magic is several times higher than that of magic of the same level.

Now that I can learn space magic from the dean, I am the best.

"Okay, I've been wanting to learn your spatial magic for a long time, but my dad has always been disgusted with me for not even reaching the first level and wouldn't let me come to you."

After the dean tidied up the laboratory, his eyes became a little uncertain.

"Space magic is easy to explain. But... Ryan... how did you get that... that instantaneous magic secret technique?"

Seeing the dean's shy look, Ryan lied.

“Oh, instant casting, I bought some jade tokens when I went to the antiques and relics market.

"One of the jade tokens, I don't know what triggered it, but it regained its luster. Then I realized that the jade token was the inherited jade stone that could cast spells instantly."

Upon hearing this, the dean sighed slightly. If it was an inheritance jade, then there was nothing that could be done. After all, inheritance jade was a one-time thing.

Then the dean nodded.

"Well, it seems I'm not destined to be with you. I thought Ford had obtained some book containing magical secrets."

"Okay, then I'll teach you the basic magic circle of teleportation."

After saying that, the dean cast a spell and instantly constructed a light blue magic circle in the air.

He began to explain to Ryan in detail the key points of constructing the teleportation magic circle.
