Chapter 511 Heading to the Haywood Family (2/2)

Caroline nodded gently.

Raine leaned close to Caroline's face. "It's getting late, go to sleep."

Caroline froze as a restless hand slipped inside her revealing nightgown.

"Mmm," Caroline responded with a nasal tone.

With a single thought from Raine, the magic lamp in the room went out instantly, and the next moment, a set of snow-white silk pajamas and pants flew off the bed.

...

The next day, Ryan got up early, stood on the balcony, took a deep breath of fresh air, and stretched, feeling refreshed.

After getting dressed, Renn left his room, ate breakfast, and then took a carriage to the Haywood family residence in the royal city.

Not long after, Ryan arrived at the Haywood family.

The two guards at the Haywood family's gate were not surprised by Ryan's arrival.

Because the master had told them last night that young master Ryan was coming.

So when Ryan appeared before them, the two men did not stop him at all. One of them continued to guard the gate, while the other led Ryan into the Haywood family compound.

After walking through the corridor, Ryan met the head of the Heywood family, Diane's father, in the Heywood family's drawing room.

Crabbe Heywood.

Diane's situation was similar to Ryan's in the Grey family; Crabbe also only had two children.

Diane is Crabbe's second daughter; his eldest daughter had already married long ago.

"Good morning, Mr. Ryan. It is an honor for the Haywood family to have you here." Crabbe stood up from the sofa and bowed to Ryan as he entered the council chamber.

Ryan quickly helped Crabbe up and said with a smile, "Count Crabbe, you're too kind."

Crabbe led Ryan into the living room, where the two sat facing each other on the sofa, while Diane sat quietly beside Crabbe.

Ryan said, "Earl Crabbe, I'm sure Diane has already told you about my feelings for her."

"I wonder what your thoughts are..."

Upon hearing this, Crabbe's face turned serious as he looked intently at Renn and spoke.

“Young Master Renn, it is my honor that you have taken a liking to my daughter.”

“But I will not treat my children as tools like other nobles. In my heart, Diane’s happiness is the most important thing.”

"To be honest, my daughter's appearance is not particularly outstanding, and I don't know why you would fall in love with Diane."

"If you truly love my daughter, I hope you can promise that you will not abandon Diane and will always cherish her."

"After all, the girl beside you is just too outstanding. Diane has no advantage over you at all..."

Renn nodded solemnly: "I understand."

"Before you, I swear to the God of Magic that I will always cherish Diane as the most precious jewel in my hand and will never abandon her."

"Anyone who violates this rule will be punished by the backlash of magic."

Seeing that Raine had sworn an oath to the god of magic, Crabbe felt less worried about Raine and Diane's situation.

Before Crabbe could speak, Ryan added.

“Count Crabbe, there is one thing you are wrong about.”

"What?" Crabbe asked, puzzled.

"What's wrong with Diane? Her looks are simply stunning!"

"Perhaps you don't find Diane particularly outstanding, but in my eyes, Diane shines like a bright pearl."

"I love her so much, why would I abandon her?"

Upon hearing this, Crabbe nodded and smiled, "Now that Young Master Ryan says so, Crabbe is truly relieved."

"I can entrust Diane to you with complete peace of mind."
