Chapter 631 Meeting (2/2)

Although this marriage to the Harrison family was indeed a hardship for Flora, Yvette did love Flora.

It is a critical moment in the transition of imperial rule, and she must seize every opportunity.

The fact that Flora developed a stubborn yet proud personality shows that Yvette's love for Flora was not abnormal.

So while Yvette was tough, she wasn't indifferent to Flora's safety.

Kayla was taken aback, then realized that she had made a slip of the tongue and caused the adults to misunderstand something, and said:

"No, no! Your Highness is mistaken. His Highness is fine. It was that...that man that His Highness summoned!"

Yvette breathed a sigh of relief, released her grip on Kayla's hand, and exhaled heavily.

"The man I summoned? What could he possibly want?"

Kayla was so anxious she was almost in tears. She said, "My lord, please come with me first. It will be too late if we wait any longer. I'll tell you more on the way."

Yvette remained unmoved, coldly saying, "Even if that person dies, it has nothing to do with me. What? Kayla, do you think that person's life or death is more important than this banquet?!"

“Yes! It’s important! You must attend even His Majesty’s banquet!” Kayla nodded emphatically.

Yvette was somewhat confused by Keira's attitude, but Keira's next words finally made Yvette realize something.

"My lord, the one His Highness summoned... his strength... his strength is not that of a second-tier mage. I... I sensed an aura on him that is on par with His Majesty's."

Yvette's pupils contracted, and she froze in shock. After a long while, she asked in a trembling voice, "You...you're telling the truth!?"

Kayla nodded: "I swear to the God of Healing!"

Yvette glanced at the banquet hall behind her, and her trusted confidante Elodie, who was not far away, noticed Yvette's gaze and quickly came to Yvette's side.

"Elodie, I need to go back to the palace. Please handle things here for me."

"Yes." Elodie bowed slightly.

Yvette immediately lifted her dress and led Keira and the other two toward the banquet entrance.

After the group left the banquet hall, Yvette, knowing she had less than half an hour left, took out a small knife from her magical artifact and cut her skirt open.

“Let’s go!” Yvette said in a deep voice.

Seeing this, Kayla quickly followed Yvette.

...

The Imperial Palace.

Flora's room.

Just as Raine glanced at the clock to check the time, there was a knock on the door.

The clanging sound made Flora in the room immediately become serious. She got up from the bed, grabbed 'Little Kong' who was tied with a pink bow, and ran behind Rein.

Raine looked at the door, waved his hand gently, and the door opened automatically.

Seeing this, Yvette and the others outside the door pushed open the door and entered the room.

Yvette and her companions traveled at full speed and arrived back at the palace relatively early, so they took the time to change their clothes.

The group entered the room, and Yvette and Ryan looked at each other, staring at the man in front of them, who was arguably the first time she had ever met him.

"It seems you are Flora's mother, Yvette." Renn closed the book in his hand, placed it on the table, and spoke calmly.

As soon as she opened her mouth, Yvette sensed a faint aura, an aura that was not of strength, but rather a suppression at the level of life itself.

Evie nodded. Although she hadn't yet sensed the same powerful aura as His Majesty that Kayla had mentioned in Raine, she still answered solemnly.

"Hello, I'm Yvette, may I ask who you are?"

You can call me Ryan.

"So, Lord Renn, what is the purpose of your summons?" Yvette asked.
