The voice of the goddess of life rang in Renn's ears: "No."
"Sigh, let's continue then. Let's go to the main city of Eagle Eye Province, Cornwall City. I heard from the merchants who accompanied us that there is an old man in Cornwall City who has lived for a long time."
"Let's see what we can learn from him."
After saying that, Renn leaped off the mountaintop and flew north.
A few days later, Renn arrived in Cornwall.
Wearing an unknowable mask, Raine easily flew over the city walls and into the city.
After landing in a small alley, Ryan changed his clothes and walked out of the alley, finding an old tavern called 'Jack's Tavern' and going inside.
The tavern was noisy, with a group of burly, low-level adventurers gathered together discussing their recent adventures.
"Old Jack, have you heard? Yesterday, that kid Jacob single-handedly wiped out the entire goblin lair!"
The middle-aged man wiping bottles behind the bar chuckled, "Jacob? That kid's grown up to this level too? Hahaha!"
Another person, holding an oak wine glass, said:
"That kid is stronger than us old hands, but he only ever takes on goblin missions. If he could join my adventurer's party, I might be able to go up against those porcupines in the east!"
The adventurer sitting next to him sighed, "It's no wonder Jacob is like this. That kid witnessed his parents die at the hands of those ugly goblins when he was a child, so he hates goblins too much!"
At this point, everyone sighed in unison and took a sip of their beer.
Raine, dressed in coarse cloth and wearing a worn-out, yellowed cloak, entered the tavern and sat down at the counter.
Seeing that Ryan was a stranger, Old Jack smiled and asked, "My friend, what would you like to drink?"
Renn tossed down a few silver coins and said, "I want strong liquor, the strongest of all!"
Old Jack glanced at the silver coins on the greasy counter, revealing his yellowed teeth, and chuckled:
"Friend, this isn't enough to drink the strongest liquor in the pub."
Renn tossed out another handful of silver coins and said, "Go for it!"
Old Jack chuckled when he saw this, pushed open the door behind the counter, went inside, and came out carrying a small bucket.
He then took a silver valve, inserted it into the groove at the base of the small barrel, and poured a glass for Ryan in an oak goblet.
"Here you go! The strongest liquor! It's even spicier than what those noble gentlemen drink!" Old Jack handed the oak glass to Ryan.
Ryan picked up his glass and downed it in one gulp. The strong liquor felt like a knife cutting into his throat.
"Pah, not bad." Renn spat out the remaining wood chips in his mouth and grinned.
Throughout his journey, he considered himself an adventurer, sampling the local cuisine and spirits wherever he went.
This kind of life has continued ever since Renn left the capital.
Seeing Ryan's clear eyes, Old Jack raised an eyebrow. "Friend, you've got a good capacity for alcohol!"
"Thankfully, your wine is very good too!"
Old Jack chuckled: "Hey! You're right! This is brewed by me using Magizweed!"
Ryan pushed the empty glass toward old Jack, gesturing for him to pour another one.
But old Jack looked at him with a "Do you still have money?" look.
Rean sighed and took out a dozen more silver coins, throwing them onto the counter. Only then did Old Jack chuckle and pour Rean another cup.
Raine, holding an oak wine glass, asked:
"I've heard there's an old man in Cornwall who's lived a very long time. Tell me about him?"
Old Jack nodded and said to Ryan, a customer who had spent over twenty silver coins with him:
"You mean old Eugene? He certainly lived a very long time!"
"It is said that he ate a treasure that could prolong his life when he was young, and he is said to have lived for almost two hundred years."
Ryan took a sip of his liquor: "Where does he live?"
"No. 29, Xicheng District".
Do you know his full name?
Old Jack frowned, thought for a moment, and then shook his head: "I don't know. As far back as I can remember, he has been called Old Eugene."
