Chapter 11 Pig-eating ants

The shouts immediately resounded throughout the entire Red Flower Tribe, and many birds that had been perched on the branches were startled and flew into the sky.

...

This was Li Qing's first real experience traversing the jungle as part of a hunting team.

This time they took a slightly wider road, which could allow six or seven people to walk side by side at the same time. Obviously, this was a route that Li and Chu, who were leading the way, had already agreed upon with the Jie shaman.

Of course, this does not mean it is safe. Unlike the road to Moonstone, no one has ever been here before, and they must be careful, lest they lose their lives if they are not careful.

Li Qing and Daohua walked together, chatting about things related to the tribe and food, when suddenly he heard Li's voice coming from ahead.

"Don't leave."

What happened?

Li Qing was positioned right in the middle of the hunting party. He thought they had encountered a wild beast, so he held the stone hammer in his hand.

However, no wild animal cries came from ahead, and the big black dog underfoot was very quiet, which was not how one would behave when encountering a wild animal.

"It's a pig-eating ant."

Li's voice came quickly.

His voice sounded very soft: "They're moving, but as long as we don't disturb them, these little guys won't hurt us."

Pig-eating ants?

The term was easy to understand, and Li Qing understood it immediately upon hearing it.

Since this ant can kill a wild boar, it is most likely because it can secrete a deadly toxin and is good at group action. Such a little guy is indeed not to be messed with in the jungle.

Li Qing stood on tiptoe, trying to see what the pig-eating ants looked like. However, the group in front of him was about the same height as him, and since he was in the middle of the line, even on tiptoe, Li Qing could only barely see a layer of heads. Apart from that, he couldn't see anything else.

"Hey!"

Suddenly, someone ahead reminded Li Qing.

"Watch your step! Don't step on them, or you're dead!"

Upon hearing the warning, Li Qing immediately dodged to the other side and looked down.

To his surprise, he found a long line of ants moving house beneath his feet. Each ant was about six or seven centimeters long and was dark red in color. When they were connected, they looked like a dark red rope, which was extremely eerie.
