Chapter 207 Crying

Upon hearing that the group had killed an Oviraptor, Dian couldn't contain his excitement and asked in surprise, "What? You actually killed an Oviraptor?"

Li nodded and said, "Yes, we don't know why there are Oviraptors here. They shouldn't like living in such gloomy places. But thankfully it's just one Oviraptor. If it were some big ones, then Chief, you..."

Dian shook his head and interrupted, "That's not what I meant. What I meant was, after you killed it, you just left it there?"

Li was taken aback, then nodded and said, "Yes."

Hearing this, Dian sighed heavily, stood up, and said with a gloomy face, "Oh no, this is bad!"

Li's expression froze; he already understood what Dian meant. He asked, "Chief, do you mean there's something around here?"

Chu crossed his arms and said nonchalantly, "Nonsense, didn't you see the corpses of those wild beasts outside before you came in?"

Li Qing pondered for a moment, then looked at Hu Tun and asked, "So, what you said is true, they really did enter this place to avoid some big guys?"

Chu asked curiously, "What did he say?"

Li Qing shook his head and said, "There's no time to lose. Let's set off immediately and leave this place. We can deal with anything else after we enter the next world."

Dian nodded, a hint of worry flashing across his face. He stroked his chin and said with a wry smile, "This journey is definitely not going to be smooth."

Li Qing hummed in agreement, glancing at the crowd behind Dian. His thoughts mirrored Dian's: Dian had brought many of the younger generation from the Black Wind Tribe, along with numerous scattered members of the Red Flower Tribe. With so many people, plus the number they had when they arrived, it would be incredibly easy for the giant outside to spot them. Even though they outnumbered the giant, it certainly wouldn't be afraid. After all, Dian's group was large and quite powerful, yet they still dared not confront it directly, choosing a rather cowardly approach. This spoke volumes.

"Tsk, I should have dealt with that Oviraptor sooner."

Li Qing began to regret the choice they had just made. If they had thought more carefully and dealt with the oviraptor, the chances of something going wrong would have been much smaller.

Chu stood up and began directing the crowd to evacuate. "Quickly, pack your things, we're leaving right now!"

Without Chu, or others, these young people of the Black Wind Tribe wouldn't have survived to this day. They obeyed Chu's orders very well, and stood up with excellent discipline, loyally surrounding Chu, Dian, and several other high-ranking warriors to protect them—judging from their actions, it seemed to have become a habit, without the slightest hesitation.

After everyone was ready, Chu was about to lead them away when he suddenly saw Lieyan walking towards them. He couldn't help but laugh and say, "Maizi has already told me about our competition. Don't worry, I won't be angry. After all, you're still young."

But Lieyan's expression was so serious that she didn't seem to be there for this matter. She pushed through the crowd on both sides, walked up to Chu, and asked, "Have you seen my father and the others?"

"Are your father and the others butchers?"

Chu asked, about to continue, when he saw Lieyan's anxious brows furrowed, his head bowed, looking very uneasy. He panicked as well, as he was not good at these things, and looked to Dian for help.

Atuna also came over and spoke on behalf of Blazing Flame: "Thank you for saving so many people from our tribe. Actually, we shouldn't have asked this question, but..."

Dian had actually noticed the commotion on Lieyan's side long ago. After receiving Chu's "cry for help," he had already walked over. When he saw that Atu's eyes were incredibly clear and that she was even willing to speak up for the Red Flower Tribe, he felt very conflicted. He walked to Atu's side, patted her head, and comforted her, saying, "It's okay. I understand how Lieyan feels. After all, that's her father. We've saved so many people, she must be worried about her father's safety."

After speaking, he looked at Lieyan again. He realized that although Lieyan's words had a somewhat aggressive feel to them, she was actually feeling more uneasy inside. She was just using this emotion to fill the void in her heart.

After a moment of silence, Dian said, "When we found your father, he... was already dead."

"My father... he's dead!? How could that be?"

With her head bowed and her mind on edge, Lieyan felt all her strength drain away upon hearing this. Her eyes widened, and her lips trembled. "No, it's impossible! My father can't be dead! He's a level four warrior! How could he be dead?"

Even though he was very unwilling, Dian knew very well that he couldn't tell the truth right now.

Otherwise, it's hard to guarantee that the fiery passion under such circumstances won't lead to some crazy actions.

Dian Jingjing said, "Yes, and so was Tashan. He and your father were hit by a boulder, and they were already dead when we found them."

"Then, where is the body?"

"We were in a hurry to get on our way, so we didn't bring it. Sorry."

A sense of oppression swept through the hearts of everyone present. The teams that were about to set off fell silent. Whether it was the Black Wind Tribe that had learned of this terrible news or the Red Flower Tribe that knew the truth, everyone felt very heavy-hearted.

Why didn't you bring my father back?!

Suddenly, the flames roared hysterically.

This was the first time she had lost her temper in front of the Red Flower Tribe since the incident with the Queen Insect.

I'm sorry.

“Flame, let it go,” Atuna comforted softly. “This is not their fault.”

As she spoke, Atu carefully walked over and tried to gently take Lieyan's hand.

"No, you wouldn't understand how I feel. That's my father!" Flame suddenly flung his hand away, knocking Atuna's hand away.

"Why did this happen... Father..."

Flame covered his face with his hands in anguish and sobbed.

She is a strong and very strong-willed woman, but even she can't stop her tears now. At most, she can only cover her face with her hands to prevent others from seeing her cry.

She was trying hard to control her tears. Her heart told her that crying in front of so many members of the Red Flower Tribe was a very shameful thing. Several times she tried to sniffle and hold back her tears, but after a few attempts, she cried even harder, and more tears flowed from between her fingers.
