Chapter 76 War Begins

Red Flower Tribe.

Most of the people in the tribe were asleep because of hunger, with only a few of the night watchmen and some who couldn't sleep still awake.

The Dian and Jiewu fall into the category of "cannot sleep".

They had so many things to consider. During the day, they had just comforted the people in the tribe, telling them that the hunting team would be fine. They had also dealt with several people who were restless and causing trouble in the tribe. Only now had they finished their work and begun to think about how to deal with the current situation of the Red Flower Tribe.

Dian spoke first, and he gave a wry smile: "It seems we can only hope that Li and the others just got lost and came back late."

The witch sighed: "But the possibility is extremely small."

Noriya sighed, "I know that too."

The shaman said in a low voice, "My ability is healing, but the current situation in the tribe is that they are starving. My ability is not strong enough to eliminate the effects of hunger on them."

In this era, the abilities of shamans are mainly divided into: prophecy, healing, curse, blessing, and poison.

Most shamans possess healing or blessing abilities, while only a small number have the ability to prophesy.

A shaman with the ability of "prophecy" will be valued by surrounding tribes, regardless of the size of his tribe or how well he uses his abilities. Such a shaman is worth the effort of any tribe to acquire.

Imagine how terrifying it would be to possess the ability of a "prophet" in this era where power reigns supreme.

As for abilities like curses and poisons, they are relatively rare, with only a very few shamans possessing such power. As for abilities like Ye Wu's, which allow her to read a person's inner thoughts, they are even rarer. In fact, even now, in the world where related tribal civilizations have emerged, there are no more than three shamans with this ability, including Ye Wu herself. And those shamans with this ability all eventually became super shamans whose names are remembered for eternity.

The classification of shamans' strength is much simpler than that of "warriors," and is divided into: mortal shamans, great shamans, spirit shamans, heavenly shamans, and cosmic shamans.

The strength of the shaman could barely be considered that of a great shaman, but he was still quite far from being a true great shaman.

Dian gave a wry smile. He gently picked up a small beetle that had crawled onto his leg and placed it on the wall, letting it crawl away. "I understand what you mean, but I went out during the day. For some reason, there was no food anywhere in this area. I wandered around for a long time, but the pigs, cows, and rhinoceroses that usually appear did not show up. I only saw a few small rabbits occasionally."

Dian continued, "This can only feed one or two people in the tribe at most, and it won't solve the big problem. Most importantly, I've managed to calm everyone down today, but what about tomorrow? We've already finished our food, and we'll have to carefully divide the water. We can last for at most two more days, but what will we do after that? I haven't thought about it yet."

Dian scratched his head, looking rather helpless, and said, "Today, many kids have been asking us where the hunting team went and why they haven't come back yet. I comforted them today, but it won't be long before their parents tell them that the hunting team may never come back."

The shaman said quietly, "So, Chief, we must make a decision quickly."

"But!"

The classic line of dialogue is filled with pain.

“We can’t wait any longer,” the shaman said calmly, as if he were recounting something very ordinary. “In the next few days, our tribe will have an increasingly difficult time, and some people may even consider joining other tribes.”

“I heard that the Black Wind Tribe still has some food,” the shaman continued in a cold voice. “Chief, you are very smart. You should know that when these people in the tribe are starving to the extreme, some of them will definitely put aside the hatred between the two tribes and join the Black Wind Tribe. Even if there are not many of them, for our tribe at present, this price is simply too high to bear.”

Dian's breathing gradually became heavier.

He certainly understood what the shaman was saying.

He had, of course, considered this possibility long ago.

He just hadn't been willing to face this reality before.

Now that the witch has spoken like this, Dian is forced to confront this reality once again.

“We must act immediately!” the shaman said, looking directly at the shaman.

Dian said bitterly, "I know everything you're saying, but the hunting party hasn't returned yet!"

“Chief, it’s been so long. If the hunting party could have returned, they would have done so long ago,” said the shaman. “You should know this very well…”

Dian suddenly slammed his fist heavily on the ground: "I understand, I understand, I know all of this, but I still don't want to leave this tribe!"

Sensing something amiss in Chu Dian's tone, the shaman asked softly, "Chief?"

Dian chuckled self-deprecatingly and said, "Sorry, I got too excited."

“But, Jiewu, you are not the chieftain, you have no idea what I am thinking. I have already lost Yong and his brave warriors, and I do not want to lose Li and the others as well!” Dian clenched his fists, his hands and voice trembling. “I know they are all gone forever, but at least, at least… after they die, they can find their home.”

Dian looked towards the red flowers that naturally grew around the Red Flower Tribe and drew a circle in the air, saying, "Red flowers—Maizi said that our Red Flower Tribe exists because of red flowers. Red flowers and our Red Flower Tribe are connected. I know that there are definitely red flowers in this world that are redder, more vibrant, and more beautiful than those flowers, but they cannot compare to these red flowers outside our tribe. They simply cannot compare!"

At this point, Dian was already somewhat unable to contain his emotions. He cursed, stood up, turned his back to the witch, waved his hand, and walked towards the cave entrance.

I want to be alone for a while.

The witch opened her mouth as if to dissuade her, but ultimately kept quiet.

"Dian needs some time to calm down, so let him have some time to himself."

The witch thought to herself.

He stared blankly at the fire in front of him, and finally let out a long sigh.

Dian is still very young. The previous chieftain, at Dian's age, was a warrior who knew nothing and only knew how to swing his fists. But Dian is already facing these problems that he shouldn't have to face.

Will things be alright for the Red Flower Tribe?

The shaman asked himself.

“Ancestors, if you see all this, can you tell us what we should do now?”

The witch closed her eyes, her face filled with struggle.

Just then, the sound of footsteps running towards him suddenly reached the ears of the shaman, interrupting his thoughts and causing him to look up.

Dian Zheng pointed to the cave entrance and exclaimed urgently, "It's Mai Zi! Mai Zi and the others are back!"

"What did you say?"
