Chu waved to Li Qing and Daohua, saying, "Hurry up, almost everyone has arrived."
The two entered the group, and Chu asked, "Hasn't Li arrived yet?"
"They should be here soon."
Li Qingdao.
Chu nodded and shouted at the top of his lungs, "We'll set off as soon as they arrive. You can rest for now. We'll be walking a long way after we leave, so don't be too exhausted, you bunch of young lads!"
After saying that, Chu walked to a tree and began to strike the trunk repeatedly with both hands to increase his strength.
The average age of the hunting team members was relatively young, and as soon as Chu left, they started talking non-stop.
“I only remember that when I was very young, the shaman told me about this place, but we have never been there before. What if we get lost?”
"With Chu and Li here, we won't get lost!"
"Who said that? What if it's really possible? Didn't you hear Chu say that he's never been to that place and can only follow the directions given by the shaman? If we get lost, will we be able to get back to the tribe?"
"If you're scared, just quit and talk to Chu! He'll agree!"
"What do you mean? I'm just worried, not afraid!"
Well, before the hunting team even set out, a dispute had already broken out. Two young soldiers, about the same age as Li Qing, were pointing their fingers at each other and hurling insults. The insults were getting increasingly vulgar, and it even looked like they were about to come to blows. This infuriated Chu, who was practicing diligently nearby. He cursed, clenched his fists, which were as big as cooking pots, and walked over to the two arguing men. He punched them both in the head, knocking them to the ground.
"If you have that energy, use it on your prey when you encounter it, instead of chattering away like a bird, it's annoying!"
Chu was a rough man, and he didn't know his own strength when he hit them. With one punch each, he knocked the two men to the ground, groaning for a long time before they struggled to get up. Judging from their expressions, they seemed to still be bothered by what had just happened and wanted to settle the score. However, given how merciless Chu had been, they could only glare at each other fiercely and go about their own business.
"Wheat, isn't this Big Black?"
A young warrior, whose strength matched that of Mai Zi, watched the spectacle and asked Li Qing curiously, "Why did you bring it out too?"
“Bringing it out is good, then we won’t have to worry about going hungry on the road,” another person said, eyeing Big Black with a drooling look on his face. “Dog meat is good, much easier to eat than wild boar or anything like that. That stuff hurts my teeth.”
Li Qing said coldly, "If you're hungry, go gnaw on tree bark. If you don't like the bark, just pick a pretty flower and eat it. If you're worried that the flower is poisonous, chop off your hand and eat it yourself!"
It's not fair to blame Li Qing for being rude; in Mai Zi's memory, neither of these two were good people. The one who spoke first was Jiao Pan, and the other, Jiao Gu, wanted to eat Da Hei. Even before Mai Zi brought Da Hei back, they liked to cause trouble for him. After bringing Da Hei back, they started causing trouble for Li Qing even more frequently, repeatedly questioning why Mai Zi brought back a dog and didn't kill and eat it... In the following days, almost whenever they saw Mai Zi or Da Hei, they would either mock him or secretly harm Mai Zi and Da Hei.
Their reason for disliking Maizi was simple: Maizi was too thin and small. Even though he had barely become a level one warrior, in their eyes, Maizi was still a frail fellow who was unpleasant to look at.
Gu was so angry at Li Qing's words that his face turned ashen. He wanted to rush over and punch Li Qing, but when he remembered Chu's reaction to the two arguing earlier, he thought better of it and decided that punching was not a good idea. He could only snort coldly and turn away with Pan.
As it turned out, Gu's choice was correct, because just as he turned to leave, Li arrived outside the tribe with the last group of people. Chu also stopped what he was doing and greeted Li, "Is everyone here?"
Li: "The Jie shaman only sent a few of us; the rest of us are to stay behind and guard the tribe."
Chu glanced at the seven or eight people following behind Li and shook his head, saying, "That's still too few. There are only about twenty people in total. The place we're going to this time is one that even Yong and the others have never been before, let alone the two of us."
Chu crossed his arms and said, "Forget it, whatever. Anyway, this is what the witch doctor wants, we can't disobey him!"
Chu said to the people behind Li, "You guys, since you're late, I'm too lazy to repeat what I just said. So, if you have any questions, just say them."
How far is it from here?
Chu: "We've never been there before and don't know exactly how far it is, but we should be able to get there before sunset at the latest."
"What kind of place is that? Are there really countless prey there?"
"I don't know!" Chu said decisively. "Because when the Jie Wu told us, he only briefly described the situation there. We only have a general understanding of the place, but we will only know the specifics when we go there."
After answering a few questions, Chu impatiently snapped, "Alright, we can talk on the way. Let's go, the tribe is waiting for us to bring back food!"
Several energetic young men in the hunting team had been waiting for Chu to say this, and as soon as Chu said to set off, they immediately shouted at the top of their lungs.
